Thank you, BHVR!
So I more or less just hit the milestone of one and a half years of playing this game, and all I have to say is a big thank you for the developers.
Dead by Daylight was gifted to me by a friend on October the 23rd, 2018. First time I played it, I was very scared. I played with my sister and her boyfriend and had a blast since then. I took a couple of months break from the game in 2019, but very recently I started playing again, and I also decided to spend money and get all the DLCs. And believe me, I very rarely spend money online. Every game I get, every item I get in games like Team Fortress 2 or CS:GO was more or less a gift, or something I've won or earned. Dead by Daylight is one of the only games on Steam that I think is worth spending a few bucks on, not to mention the unbelievable amount of fun I had in this game the past couple of months, despite all the rage, bugs, toxic players, slugging and camping killers. I try not to look at the negative side of things, and this worked for me.
Every day I wake up, I think about which character am I going to play as in Dead by Daylight. Will I play as survivor first, or will I play as killer? Am I going to win or lose? Who am I going to play with, alone or with friends and the same people that I first played with when I got the game? I currently have 560 hours in the game, and I feel jealous of players who have more than 1000+ hours, simply because all I can think about is how advanced these players can be.
Even myself, I may have my fair share of moody moments in Dead by Daylight, when I can't win a game at all, or people are just too good for me if I play killer. But that's fine, it's not always about winning, is it? It's about having fun. Sure, the toxicity and bugs might make it not fun, but even then I always come back.
And I think I've made my decision: I will always come back.
Thank you, BHVR. Thank you for listening to the community and giving us free bloodpoints. Thank you for making a great game full of survivors, killers, perks, cosmetics and interesting mechanics.
One last time, Thank you! Please, stay safe, and don't ever let this game die. That's my only wish.
