I. OWN. YOU. - by betti357

I always loved the iconic DBD Trapper picture, and since I like the connection/backstory between Evan and the Entity too, I decided to redraw the original picture, from another view.

Very nice work! 🤩
I'm in love OuO
I love this, love the colours, and Trapper is my fav original DBD character. Nicely done. <3 (kudos for the entity in the bg... so creepy)
Thank you!! :)))
xD thanks you B hahahahaha and thx for your help rofl, yep tried to make it look creepy, I mean the Entity, and since I know you loooove spiders..
.... gee thanks..yes.. I LOVE them....QuQ...*screaming inside*
I love the softness of your painting, it's really well detailed!
Thank you! :) I'm not satisfied with my style, but you know... practice, practice...
The use of color and texture is amazing here, you have some amazing talent. And then the background to contrast everything out like you did, well done my friend!
How can you not be satisfied? I love this, you've done a very good use of brushes and the colors go very well together! Yeah, it is all about practice, to be honest I haven't found my style yet either, I keep trying different things and I'm always aiming for realism, but it never turns out how I first imagined it xD
The only tip that I could give you is to not be shy with harder brushes, but on the other hand, the only part where hard brushes are missing are on the clothes, and not using them is a good way to bring the focus back on the trapper's head. I don't see how you could have done better :)
Hahahha I'm totally the same, I try to make them realistic, and I always end up overdoing them, then the pic will loose its dynamic.. so when I finally finish my pics, I end up hating them xD and afraid to even upload them. I really love those kind of styles when the strokes are visible, they look very detailed from far away, but they're not from close up view. And yeah, agreed! I really need to practice paint different materials, clothes... :) sry for my english haha and thanks for the nice comment!
Haha same for me, I always hate my paintings once they are finished, I keep feeling that something is wrong with them but I don't always manage to point out why xD But I always upload them, it enables me to see how much I have progressed with time, we have to learn to be forgiving with ourselves :) Do you post your art on social media? I would love to see your progression, it looks promising!
Yeah, lot of times I end up putting my almost finished/finished pics on full screen, then I lie down on my bed and just stare at it from there, trying to figure it out what I hate in them and what needs fixing. And yeah, we should be more forgiving xD I hate to recheck my old pics, but maybe it's a good thing when we found mistakes on them? Hahahah I never fix them, I'm too lazy... and yeah I use the same name everywhere :) betti357 on tumblr, artstation, twitch, twitter. But my oldest is my deviantart... most of my older pics are there.. although thats my second deviantart profile... Im not dare to share my very first one hahaha ehh
I followed you on Deviantart! I stopped posting there to focus on Instagram, but if you start posting art on Instagram I'll be happy to follow you there :D Yeah, we often say that the more we progress, the more disappointed we are with what we do, but that's a good sign because it mean our eyes are learning to spot what's wrong. The more we learn, the more we see what we have left to learn ^^ Haha I didn't post my very first one either, but I'm planning on painting another version of it in a few months and I'll have to put it next to the old version to see the evolution, it's an exercise I haven't done yet :)
awww, hahaha well yeah, Deviantart is pretty dead long time ago... miss the old times, when there was lot of quality art and active fandoms... sadly I don't have instagramm, but maybe I will do one in the future. Too many websites already, I try to work on my twitter one.. more or less success xD. Ahh, redoing old artworks can be funny, I should do an another one myself!
Amazing work! The entity in the background looks so ominous and spooky! I also love the details of the skin and clothes, very nice!
Thank you! I'm happy to hear that the Entity turned out somewhat spooky, that was my plan! :) I miss the spookiness from this game.
