Imagine slugging everyone because the game allows you to abuse it, but complain about DS after you immediately went back to the hook as soon as someone became unhooked.
That clip is hilarious.
He went to pick the first one he downed in case of unbreakable... is that not obvious?
Anyone saying you deserve it for slugging is an incredibly entitled gamer. As if you expect the killer to see people with infectious and ignore them, that's just absurd, the goal is to kill all the survivors. People make it sound like you slugged everyone for minutes to sweat for a win. I don't personally see DS as a major concern right now, but you can't just write off someone's complaint about DS because they played optimally.
Oh no, you mean you want even EASIER kills when there are 2 gens left and everyone is about to die?
Oh no....DS really messed up your game there. We need to nerf it. You still won, given all the survivors used every perk they needed to win and still lost. Yeah, DS needs a nerf.
BHVR: DS is intended to counter tunel
Also BHVR: makes a killer that counters DS
I dont get fun by slugging but its the closer status to being hooked basically neitralize survivors.
It isn't anti-tunnel.
I think the devs can be quoted as saying it's meant to be "anti momentum" and not "anti tunnel". Think about that, for a second. Anti momentum.
Translation: Punish killer for doing well.
It is not.
If you spend any time in these forums, you would know it is NOT an anti-tunnel perk and never has been.
Survivors: But it's not an anti-tunneling perk, so it's fine!
Also Survivors: You're tunneling scum if you get hit by DS!
I figured you guys would know this but... Dead Hard for me is never active unless I get hit first. Glitch? Or feature? See video. It's always like this and I'm getting pretty frustrated. Also look at that lag.
60s of immunity from what? I get downed and get to crawl around for 40-45 seconds. Wow, thank God for that immunity. It's amazing how many gens you can get done while waiting for the killer to pick you up.
You don't get to make up your own facts and then purport to disprove the invented facts as a basis for an argument. DS can help with being tunneled, but it is not an anti-tunnel perk. That is an important distinction. The Killer was "punished" because they chose to down and pick-up a Survivor that was rescued within the last 60s - not because the Survivor chose to work on a Generator. That is the intended mechanism of the Perk. That isn't Survivor logic, it is factual. If you want to argue the merits of the perk itself, this isn't the discussion for that. Instead this discussion was built on misinformation and again I do not feel sorry for anyone in this circumstance. Adapt and adjust, but don't cry with a made-up scenario!
I'm tired of hearing this over and over. So I will be the one voice then. I have YET to see a tunnelling pyramid head. I have never been tunneled by one. Im starting to think this is one of those group brain washing situations where everyone just regurgitates what everyone else says.
Devs have said it's not an anti-tunnel perk and it never was. People need to stop spreading this false information.
DS is an anti-momentum perk. You had a lot of momentum. Not like it cost you the game. You're just complaining because the survivors happened to have a chance at making a comeback. 100% fair.
And you want it both ways.
Every time someone asks why it's ok for them to chase someone off a gen and then get hit by DS you say, "It's not anti-tunneling so it doesn't matter.....but you're also tunneling, so you deserved it!"
I can't stand the 60 Seconds of Immunity when I'm stuck crawling for 40-50 seconds because I bring DS.
Immunity from getting hooked and tunnelled. Instead of getting closer to death hook you get a time out on the ground. Forces a player to stop repairing and heal you as well.
So, what they've said is the purpose of the perk?
Whatever you do, don't bring UB! Last night I was insta-tunneled off the Hook within 10s during EGC with 20% left so everyone left. Slugged of course but luckily had UB and Soul Guard ready, The Plague was babysitting and vomiting on me and twirling like a ballerina. I recovered myself and she immediately struck but thanks to SG, it lunged me forward into the exit gate and I escaped. I got hate mail for being a toxic Survivor that abuses OP perks! 😅
Sure, but that's also a lot of time the killer spends taking a risk on you getting healed and that down meaning nothing. You're pretty much guaranteed to recover enough that someone can just drive-by heal you.
You are absolutely nuts. No. No tgey do not need to buff it
But nothing about what you said is "having it both ways".
DS is not an anti-tunnel perk. Thats not a survivor mandate. Its a developer mandate. Just because it can be used post-hook for people who DO tunnel, doesn't mean it is exclusively an "anti-tunnel" perk, nor was it intended to be used solely for that purpose.
The fact remains, most often it does go off because a Killer is tunneling people. Is that the ONLY case, no. Is that the MOST COMMON case, yes.
So, survivors who say both those things are correct in both cases.
Ds is an s tier perk that if anything needs a nerf. You could go in a locker an if you have inner strength and possibly head on, for 60 seconds you are literally invincible. And to play around it you are wasting 60 seconds of your time if you are just waiting on their body. This would leave like 20 seconds on 2 gens if the other 2 survivors are on separate gens. And this assumes they get on the gen as soon as you start slugging. It is a low risk high reward perk. Either way it will waste the killers time or remove any map pressure they have.
Maybe not the old ds. But the new one definitely could be called that. It only happens after getting unhooked. While it is almost never used as an anti tunneling perk. It's what it's treated as.
It is anti-tunnel. The fact that it activates after being unhooked and stuns the killer for a pretty long time screams it,
The devs literally confirmed it's a second chance perk and not an anti-tunnel perk. It can't get much clearer than that.
