I want to be able to play this game, but the game has a 50% chance of blackscreening me at the offering screen. This isn't the first thread I've posted about this, nor am I the only one with this problem. I guess the dev team has some seething hatred for AMD users, so I'm gonna go play Stellaris instead.

I used to have a 480, and the blackscreens were from uncapping the frames and the card overheating. Hope this helps
Is the FPS capped by default? I don't remember uncapping it
yep fps is automatically capped at 60 unless you change it in the cofig files.
also the devs dont hate amd people since the game seems to like my processor just fine.
How do you Uncap?
I'm not sure I'd im allowed to say here bevause if you squit it could technically be a rule violation and I'm in no way risking it but the method hasn't changed from 2 years ago so I'm sure if you googled how to I cap fps dbd you'd find something
FrameRateLimit=1000.000000 in GameUserSettings.ini and don't worry it's locked to 120fps anyway if you don't mess with Engine.ini.
AMD has a lot of problems with RX 580 and MANY games for some reason
I know there was an update a few days ago to prepare for the May Windows Update and help resolve black screen issues.
