I don't play fighting games like that. But what I can say is when I get hit no matter how I play even if I made the best play in. The world that says something. I just wish someone could prove they can counter her
honestly i run spinechill because its my favorite perk it counters all stealth in a way and gives you 6%bonus to vaults in chase. I dont dislike spirit at all i actually enjoy the challenge of facing her,
cant say anyone is ignorant in here i got banned for the same thing lol only i said someone was ignorant to a situation and not actually ignorant in general
In fighting games Mix Up characters need a good amount of hits to defeat you, giving you a lot of opportunities to read your opponent. Spirit only needs two hits to down you in a chase. So you barely have opportunities to read them. And yes, I know SWF is a thing. But even then opportunites are small and can easily be tricked by nonconsistent Spirit players. Also DbD is asymmetrical with a clear agressor defender role. You just can't compare both.
And like said. Spirits can locate you by hearing and have even after ability speedboost, which compensates for mispositioning. I played here often enough to know that. The cards are so much more in her hands that playing against her is unfun for a reason.
Ah fair enough, I run it sometimes myself I like to combine it,resilience and no mither, it usually ends in me dying or not being hooked once, either way it's rather fun.
If you look at my forum, I see most people's issues with Spirit is that she has little to no counterplay, and they don't like facing something they can't see.
Killer has to guess all game long, it's called the mindgame. Survivors dont like it when the role is flipped, because they're used to controlling everything.
Or do what I do cause of my dislike of Oni, and dedicate a whole build to deal with it, sure I wont always get a oni, and sometimes when I get an oni I'll be running a different build, but in the few times it pays off it's really satisfying.
good spirits use their power in short bursts so even if you can make a read and make them screw up their phase theyre gonna do it again in 4 seconds so it doesnt even matter because you cant guess right 20 times in a row thats why people hate spirit
obviously those "more useful" perks arent helping you against her. Why not try them out before you talk down about them lol. Iron will is one of the best survivor perks in the game and you have 2 other slots. Tbf i prefer spinechill over iron as you know when she is looking in your direction IE, coming your way. If you knwo she is coming like i said before you have time to prepare for a chase or even avoid her completely. spinechil cant really be countered yeah she can look away while phasing but you can hear her footsteps which also is a tell shes on you. Just like her survivors can use their hearing to compete against her. I respect people not liking her but dont say there isnt anything you can do against her cause there is a fair amount of things you CAN do to help against her. And your not supposed to be able to run a spirit or any killer for that matter for the suration of five gens you ARE def going down at some point so do what you can to extend that chase as long as possible.
theres no indication???? there is an audio queue that she is phasing or near which means you should stand tall and prepare for an encounter with her. Cant say there isnt any way to tell she is phasing if she stands still keep moving and find a safe tile she is either standing there giving you distance or she is phasing so she cant see you
Killer side, it's still an educated guess. Will they double back, will they take the vault, throw the pallet, run, etc? You read the player, and take a shot.
Spirit is the same way, but again, survivors aren't used to reading players, they are used to standard looping.
Spine chill is useful in other situations too though, it's really good against stealth killers as well as deathslinger and huntress, and even if its none of them, you atleast get the vault speed whenever you're looked at, I've never really run iron will so cant say which situations its useful in.
Yes she does. She looses to those survivors who are smart enough to let the survivor rot on the hook and rush gens. I can guarantee you, a very fun experience!
Spirit requires a headset more than skill and you can do things but you are not doing much that's the problem if an oni chases me can I or can I not actually do things that help me win my chase. Killers arent supposed to win EVERY CHASE and no those are great perks but I could be using more useful one for how I play. Using perks just IN CASE is b.s.
Omg I RAN SPINECHILL FOR MONTHS you guys think that im saying this to say they are bad?! I literally dont run them because it gives me benefits in chase. I dropped dead hard for that SAME reason. People need to stop responding as if I talked down on them its annoying
It's because she's a blueberry and not a strawberry, ew.
Okay now jokes aside, for me it has nothing to do with the fighting games reasoning, it's just that I feel her whole concept brings out the worst part of the game to a very big extent.
Well my bad for misunderstanding, I thought when you were saying why should you run it when theres 'more useful perks' it meant that you thought spine chill wasn't useful.
However if it counters something you find difficult to verse and you think it's a useful perk, may I ask why you don't run it?

if you got hit was it really the BEST play?

yeah thats a good combo but imo spinechill is also good on its own
But if you struggle against spirit, why not use a perk slot or two to run a perk that improves your matchup against spirit?
Bam spine chill and iron will. Now I can be prepared all the time even when there are more useful perks
We mmindgame at looping and that is out playing
Or do what I do cause of my dislike of Oni, and dedicate a whole build to deal with it, sure I wont always get a oni, and sometimes when I get an oni I'll be running a different build, but in the few times it pays off it's really satisfying.
How ignorant of you.

Most killers don't move at 170% speed with no indication they've activated their power that they can attack out of in less than 1 second of appearing.

Spirit can see the survivors scratmarks and she can hear you. Thats pretty much it.

Have you ever played against her? Her phase sounds are muted in a chase. Thats what people mean when theres no indication.
Yes she does. She looses to those survivors who are smart enough to let the survivor rot on the hook and rush gens. I can guarantee you, a very fun experience!

Umm you do realize looping mindlessly results in death?
Omg I RAN SPINECHILL FOR MONTHS you guys think that im saying this to say they are bad?! I literally dont run them because it gives me benefits in chase. I dropped dead hard for that SAME reason. People need to stop responding as if I talked down on them its annoying
False, this is not the reason I hate spirit.
It's because she's a blueberry and not a strawberry, ew.

Again he got ran for most of the game by 1 person. Doesn't matter who I was he never even had a chance to chase me.
