Why has there been no communication from the devs/community team yet?

The patch has been out for almost 12 hours. This is the absolute angriest I have ever seen the community collectively be upset at something since I've started playing the game. This isn't just a one-sided problem as per usual. This is everyone. People are upset about the UI, bugs, hitboxes and balance issues on the new maps and more. The queues are the longest I've ever seen them. Steam is showing a rapid drop in players.
Why has nobody issued a statement, a commitment to fixing the issues, or even an apology yet? Does the team just not care about its players?

They need to find a reaaaaaally good excuse why this update was allowed to get released after all the feedback they got from the PTB
My opinion, theyβre pretending the problem isnβt there to see how the player count will be after the initial burst of collective rage.
Spoiler: this wonβt end well.
They're formulating their battle plan.
Does the team just not care about its players?
I feel like BHVR never really cared about the players but rather how much more money they could make
Heads buried in the sand?
They are usually quiet though, my post regarding reverting the UI back to the previous version has 1.6k views, not a single one from a BHVR account.
I would suggest that they hire a full time community liaison manager or something to that effect, problem is that they would be on the front line and would have to deal with a daily barrage of complaints.
Oh yeah, me and a friend have been playing this game a lot for the past several weeks, actually I think it's been months now. Today we got on, played two rounds and decided "You know let's play something else."
Can't explain it. I just didn't feel immersed anymore and I don't actually like... care?
They're going to make a stream that features the devs saying "Pretty good job so far~" for 10 hours continuously to make us stop i think.
Just a joke btw.
Usually takes a while from what I remember.
They "wanted the console players to try it" because maybe they would have a different opinion and actually like the change.... maybe... its possible right.... the UI isn't that bad.... someone must like it....
I hope everyone is planning to speak with their wallet when the Rift drops. We have to remain vigilant and let the devs know this ######### needs to stop. Enough is enough.
Peanits use to be on the Forums every day and communicated with players all the time.
He is no longer around. Same with Not_Queen.
They are both Community Managers but they don't really manage the Community. Not_Queen does the Q&A and does voice some concerns during it but it seems like they switched how they are tackling the community a year ago. Literally, how is Peanits job even community management related anymore when all he does is post Dev updates?
I have been playing this game for the last 4 years on four different platforms every single day and, today, for the first time, that same thing happened to me and my team.
As someone who holds a degree in Communications and a diploma in Public Relations AND has worked in a PR firm it does not take THIS long to formulate a battleplan and issue a statement. Lol. Two hours tops assuming the statement needs to pass through various checks. Heck, five minutes to write, "To our loyal playerbase: We're really sorry about the launch of today's mid-chapter release. We've taken the time to read through the complaints and are busy working on a strategy to combat all the issues presented to us today. In the meantime, try to enjoy the game as best as you can. We will release another statement when we have more information to share. We've also sent players x bloodpoints/shards as an apology". BOOM. I wrote that in 10 seconds.
They put out the patch just before rift and event starts. The increase player numbers from those hopping on for atleast the event will let them say "patch is fine because look at the player numbers after its release." π
The way the UI clearly look like a mobile game, with large bright blocks scattered on each corners of the screen is kinda totally killing the immersion in what should be an immersive horror game.
They are probably waiting for the update to sink in. Let us make up our minds about it. Then pray we changed our minds.
Pfft, look at the colorblindness fiasco and the state of optimization and you'll see that BHVR HATES to communicate with the community
I have faith in the community right now that they'll remain strong and not play until its addressed.
Ya that's a good point. Lol. That colorblind thing was so bad. :/
theyve made that very clear recently
we made them up during ptb, when no change of any kind was made our opinions didnt magically change
Because they know none of us will stop playing. We are sheep. Break the game we pay foe new cosmetics. Complain about problems, oh boy here comes a new killer and survivor. They dont care because the community doesnt hold them accountable the way they should.
You can't just destroy their dreams π’
Speak for yourself. I haven't played since like 3pm and have been enjoying playing other games. My friends are all doing other stuff too. Or sleeping. Lol. Remain strong, guys! We got this!
I don't think they thought that the changes they did was a bad as it was.
they knew it was bad which is why they brought up "resistant to change" but i bet they didn't think they would get this sort of storm!
BHVR doesn't act according to our primitive understanding of time. BHVR understands time better than all, all time is occurring concurrently. They know that 2 hours is actually whenever, as 2 hours at any time is the same as any other time. Don't hold your breath as, to us, BHVR is taking a long time to do anything. But for them? It's happening right now.
Or something like that. π€·ββοΈ
BHVR has 2 tenets they hold themselves to absolutely.
1) When players ask for certain changes, it either never happens or takes years to get done and then is still not quite what the players wanted in the first place.
2) They make changes nobody asked for in PTB, get widespread negative feedback for those changes, they push it to live anyways.
Truly a fascinating company.
They're busy putting together the new intro video to Train Drops of Jupiter. Logging into this season is gonna feel pretty chill
We have community managers?
same here. we've been playing together literally 5-10 hours a day, everyday, for 2 years. it only took 3 trials and we were done. we're now currently looking for our replacement game.
