REASONS WHY
So I have been doing some research and here is what I found
- For at least seventy years between the 1950s and 2020s, she was tied to a series of violent homicides.
That sounds like basic killer material, right?
- Dimitrescu was a follower of a Satanic witch-cult which practiced vampirism and human sacrifice, possibly for sustenance
Human sacrifice? Hmm... sounds familiar. This would mean Dimitrescu would want to be a part of the entity's realm other than fight it. Once again, sounds like killer material to me.
- According to the RE wiki "Dimitrescu's origins are presently a mystery, in particular the questions of her age, and whether she was born with a Progenitor disease or contracted it later."
- Among Dimitrescu's traits post-infection is the ability to elongate her fingernails into razor-sharp claws.

Just these things make Dimitrescu the perfect killer material for this game.
Just look how good she can fit in the game, she looks similar to plague in height and body.
Plus if you think she is too tall for the game and they can't change her Demo is literally 7-10 feet tall about the same height as Dimitrescu and they changed his hight
It's also a easy money grab

So why does Nemesis who is a monstrous brute that does what ever he is commanded to do that also has a huge arsenal of weapons and is an iconic Res character does not fit in the game but a new fancy vampire lady character that has Freddy gloves fits better in the game?
Not joking since just kinda confused here cause I find Nemesis more threatening than her.

It's a way for Cap Com to get more money. They want to give the RE8 game more attention. I don't think they will go with an "iconic" character. Plus, not many people care about Nemesis until a few months ago and he has a Rocket Launcher? But we will have to see, I'm just speculating
As a non Resident Evil fan who has really only watched people play RE7 and RE8.
Lady D is so, so boring. There's nothing special about her. She's tall. She's hot (debatable). She has claws. Her personality is incredibly generic. Cool? I don't know anything about the older Resi Evil games, but I sincerely hope they choose Mr. X or Nemesis because they at least look more visually interesting. Keep in mind, this is all subjective. If you like Lady Dimtestricu, more power to you. Opinions are opinions. I personally thought she was a huge disappointment from all the hype, and continues to be.
I also sincerely doubt it will be Lady D. The 'teaser' when Resi Evil announced it on their livestream had a male survivor (Felix, in specific) and a bunch of generic zombie sounds, and an Umbrella charm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've seen Lady D has little to nothing to do with generic zombies or Umbrella.
Sounds like you really want Lady D, and that's fine. But there is little to no evidence other than hearsay to say it will be Lady D.
All I'm gonna say is, don't get your hopes up
I don't it's going to be her, mostly because the chapter was being developed since last year probably and at that time capcom had no idea Lady D was going to be so popular.
But we already have someone with claw hands....

As much as I want Lady D and think she'd work in the game fine, I don't think it's gonna be her.
You can't seriously say Mr X and Nemesis are more interesting than an actual being. They are just mindless mute bioweapons. All they have going is being ugly and defeated by a rookie cop or a woman. At least Dimitrescu has a backstory, motivations, an actual character design that is not "Bald tall man in trash bag"
Tbh I don't think they would add a killer who would have to duck down to get through most doorways.
I get people are on the hype train for RE8, but adding a character that was only properly introduced a month prior would not sit well with the fans of RE who've been around for a while.

God, people like you make me hate the internet sometimes. I personally do not like Lady Dimitrescu. I personally find her very boring. I PERSONALLY would rather either Nemesis or Mr. X because I think they have more visually neat looks.
These are all a matter of MY OPINION.
I just want so say the latest killer was a killer obsessed with his victims screams if that's the minmual it takes for the entity to choose them any of the re cast could fit

she's just not the most likely killer to come from RE.
I provided a DBD easter egg video in the post. That is a piece of evidence. Plus, I was saying why, and there is no evidence for any other RE killer, I was just speculating. I don't need to have a whole essay of evidence when I'm just speculating who the killer is going to be

I think its u likely that she will be the RE killer. The developement started way before all the tall girl.
And her height would have some weird interactions. You'd spot her instantly on open maps and doors would break her back.
Still hoping she'd somehow make it.
It's unlikely Capcom is putting all their eggs in one basket, especially since back when this killer started being worked on the trailer for RE8 hadn't been released yet and so no one had any idea if fans would take to Lady Dimitrescu.
To capitalize on as many fans as possible, it's more likely the characters coming to DbD will be from the older games. Hell, Capcom probably took into consideration whether or not they should only use characters from the games who appeared in those stupid movies, because yeah, there are a lot of people who only ever saw the movies and didn't play the games.
Smart businessmen bank on nostalgia and a dedicated, pre-existing fanbase; they don't bank on prayers and giantess fetishists.
If the characters coming to DbD are from RE8, then congrats, DbD got used for a quick buck as a second form of advertising, but with the risk that people who play DbD would just buy her and forego RE8 altogether because hey, she's in this game they already own and for way cheaper.
Again, it's more likely we'll see older characters who were in both the games and the movies, because that's how you grab the interest of the highest number of people. It'd be pretty stupid to bring in RE8 characters, because then you're milking the same group of people and you don't know how large of a group that is because even the trailer for RE8 hadn't been released yet when DbD started working on this killer. It doesn't matter who she is or what she looks like or what her background story is, she's a bad choice because she doesn't tick the necessary boxes to be a good representative character for a large franchise celebrating its 25th year.
It could be a piece of evidence. It could just be them putting in an easter egg since they are now working with BHVR. Either way, it is a cool little detail. I'd say the Umbrella and the generic zombies would be evidence for others, but I don't know enough about RE to say.
They weren't attacking your opinions, they were giving valid reasons as to why Lady D wouldn't fit into the game from a mechanical point of view, how would a 9'6" woman walk around in shack? She would essentially have to crouch down in order to fit inside.

You are hurting your own argument. There is a huge difference between 7 and 10 feet. Put a yardstick on top of your head and then decide how that works out as far as height.
Also, a good chunk of your argument is "she is going to be the Killer because she is good Killer material."

All the reasons you provided are reasons why she would fit in the game. Not why Capcom and BHVR would want her in Dead by Daylight. Is she a big meme? Sure, but so were Mr. X and Nemesis when they first got re-introduced in the remakes. Both Mr. X and Nemesis are more iconic characters however. Capcom doesn't really need to add a RE8 character for them to get the sales up. They just need a good, iconic and solid killer in DBD that grabs attention so DBD players are left wondering what their games have to offer. Granted, she is probably the most iconic character of RE8 and it would make the most sense for them to add her if they're going to add a RE8 character, but when they started developing the DBD killer, they didn't know whether or not Lady D would turn into this big meme.
P.S.: Capcom is kind of known for their use of generic sound design, which is exactly what that scream in the castle was. A scream that is used in multiple games. I believe someone on twitter even found the sound effect for completed generators in another RE game.
I hope not.
