Revert POP back to 60 seconds?

With perks like Blast Mine and Repressed Alliance in the game, does PGTW really have to be at 45 seconds duration?
Blast Mine especially has become a very common perk (at least in my experience) so sometimes that’s all it takes to negate Pop after downing someone across the map.
Also, the shortened Pop duration also makes it so you have to pick between applying pressure or kicking a gen and forfeiting a hit or even a down.
TLDR: There’s perks to “counter” pop now to some degree, and 45 seconds is very unrewarding to killers who have been successful at pressuring survivors.

And Lightborn doesn't even counter the stun for Blastmine. So you cannot even counterplay it that way which is absurd.
Yup. Blast Mine is a guaranteed punish for 30 seconds or a punish making you eat a long stun.
I personally still think it is fine. If a Pop can't be used because the last few seconds are wasted on being stunned by Blast Mine, than that just means Blast Mine has it's fair uses, which is always a good thing.
In general PGTW is still one of the best killer perks in the game, I'd much rather have weak perks buffed.

They should just buff deathslingers teachables in general if you ask me he has the worst teachables set in the game
Retribution can be fun on certain builds. But his other 2 are atrociously bad.

That is literally why they changed it, so that killers felt as though they had to prioritise using Pop over downing survivors in order to reduce snowball potential.
Also, perks like Blastmine and Repressed Alliance are designed to counter Pop, why should you buff Pop just to negate its counter, subsequently making Blastmine and Repressed Alliance even more situational.
if you're being successful at pressuring survivors, you dont need 60 seconds for Pop. eat the stun like the rest of us and move on.
Is it fun? no. Did it do much against you? not at all, because you have Pop.
In 45 seconds you can circle around the map and then you can kick whatever gen you want. Plenty of time.
Blast Mine and Repressed would still work the same way. They force the killer to make the choice whether to chase or wait for the gen to get unblocked.
Some maps require 45 seconds or even more for you to check on all the gens.
45 seconds is fine. I think the nerf is good, it makes Repressed and Blast Mine more effective against it. PGTW is still a top-tier perk.
Even 50 seconds would be a good enough for me in the case of those big maps.
Maybe buffing it by 5 seconds would be alright.
RPD, Red Forest, etc… all maps that turn Pop into a joke for killers that move a flat 115 or 110. Then you throw in the potential of Blast Mine and Repressed… RIP.
Hexes like Ruin are unreliable, so now we need a reliable gen defence perk again. They need to revert Pop back. I've lost so many Pops to the stupid 15 second nerf.

Exactly. Hex Ruin would be great but… it’s a Hex.
Corrupt is the only other solid gen defense perk in the Big 3, and it only lasts 2 minutes.
With more and more survivor perks coming out that counter killer perks, it’s time to reevaluate what can be done. Either revert Pop or buff weaker gen defense perks. Ex: make Dead Man’s Switch not specific to the obsession.

uh oh, perks designed to counter things like pop should actually be made to not counter it? lol
The biggest reason why the devs cannot do that, is because Blastmine and Repressed Alliance do not really matter that much over the course of a game(let alone that Deadlock works amazingly with Pop).
Genregression perks for killers need to be reworked into a similar group as exhaustion perks. Where they can be used in conjunction, but not all at the same time. If Pop was the only gen regression perk in the game, 60 seconds would be fine. But it's not the only gen regression perk in the game.
And yeah, shortening pop to make a decision between a down or a kick is EXACTLY why it got reduced. You should either be quicker with the down and then kick the gen, or kick the gen and then go for a chase, or dont kick the gen at all and go for the chase. If you cannot down the survivor quicker, you have to decide whether or not popping the gen is going to be worth it or not. It's 25%. 25% is a lot of regression, especially if 1 survivor is dead.
I'm going to say no as its going to leave perks like repressed alliances and blast mine more useless and situational.
I wouldn’t say useless as killers still kick gens regardless of having pop or not.
If you are a mobility killer yes
most of the time I play the killer don' t kick the gens. its a waste of time for them because its so slow.
Rather smaller maps tbh. Far to many are becoming big and filled with tiles and loops.
Shrink them to a more manageable size and pop would be fine
Nah I think it’s fine where it is. It’s still a very strong perk.

I agree that the nerf was bullshit, specially on big maps but I would buff bad slowdown/detection perks before pop to see more variety to be honest.
That would be my preference. There’s simply not enough good perks for gen defense. Most are too niche.
