You will need to wait until the trial is completely over to see the perks. If you want to know all you have to do is wait.

What's so difficult about only hiding the end screen from SWF members, or better, only SWF members who have other members still alive in the game? Non-SWF players can't tell the others anything anyway unless they in a hurry added each other before the game specifically for this reason, which is a huge hassle and hardly worth it.

I think the developers gave us good reasons during the stream as to why this change needs to affect both solo players and SWF parties. The system would be circumventable if solo players still got the information as it is not incredibly uncommon for players in a lobby to know one another, even when they are not in a group together. Additionally, the game doesn't distinguish between SWF groups and solo players in the endgame lobby, so there is no way for them to implement a system that affects one and not the other.

As a solo player, I'm happy with the change as it opens up the possibility to see some exciting perk builds that players were perhaps hesitant to use before. As @not_Queen said during the stream, "It is for the greater good."

Definitely a step in the right direction of making the game actually fun vs a SWF group.

Now, just tag them in Lobby so I don't have to join games with them please!

Solo Survivor just keeps getting worse and worse to play as

How does this nerf solo Survivors in any conceivable way? Does knowing the Killer's perks after you've already left the trial benefit you in any way?

Heyo, didn't say this was a nerf. It just makes solo unappealing. I had a game on PTB that when I died, lasted 20 minutes and it's not really an attractive change as a solo survivor.

It just makes me want to play SWF only, really.

The question is still essentially the same. How does this change anything? Do you have to see the Killer's perks at the end of each and every trial or else you can't enjoy it?

Questions not the same, but anyway

@Milkymalk summarized it pretty well. It's nice to know if it was him who found me, or the use of BBQ or Nurse's. Did he have Tombstone on Myers or Unlimited EW3? Well, you can't find out because you're the first one who's died and the match lasted 25 minutes because of a hatch standoff.

It's mental satisfaction on knowing what I got outplayed with.

Now, I do understand this change was implemented in spite of demand due to the problem of what?... oh right, [BAD WORD] SWF. Because friends can tell each other if a Killer has NOED, BBQ, Bloodwarden, etc.

Which I get, but it's funny to me. Your NOED was already negated by me, a solo survivor, who took out your 5 totems. Your bloodwarden never activated because I know if someone is going down while I'm opening the gate, I'll leave a sliver before fulling opening it prior to the survivor being hooked. And for your BBQ and Nurses, well that's where your on the fence because it's not that hard to tell, so I guess that's irrelevant.

So, yes, my experience is gonna become more suck-ish with this change considering as prior to it, it was how I liked it. I'm allowed to voice my distaste too, I'm tired of this game heading in a direction that's discouraging playing solo survivor.

Maybe with Dedicated Servers, they'll be able to change it where SWF are considered groups separate from Solo Survivors and will be able to implement features around such. (Like, Solo Survivors can see Killer loadouts right away but SWF cannot)

If it really bothers you that much, you could always wait until the end of the trial.

It honestly doesn't even affect much , a good survivor should know what perks the killer has  just a few minutes into the game and if you can't name all four by the 3rd gen the totems better be cleansed

"Essentially the same". Emphasis on "essentially". The words may change, but the rationale does not. If seeing the Killer's perks is where you derive most of your satisfaction from, to the point that having to wait to do so (or not being able to do so at all) ruins your experience, you may just not like the game all that much.

Don't take this out of proportion and use the argument "you must not like the game so much". Sigh. Have a real conversation with me. Infact, you disregarded 80% of the post.

Anyway, obviously it isn't where I derive my most enjoyment from. The issue is the discouragement to play solo keeps becoming more prevalent. SWF is looking more juicy these days and it's not typically something I like. I'm not going to stop playing, but it is affecting my experience in a negative way.

So no, I don't like this change. I've voiced it. But it's not a deal breaker.

It's an unfortunate but necessary change. I'll gladly give up my endgame perk curiosity if it helps balance out swf a bit.

Yes yes yes yes YES! Thank you devs! (It wasn't that hard though, was it?)

It took them over 2 years for the first step towards SWF balance, there is a long way to go though.....

I mean the BNP and exhaustion nerf (because no more double SB's means less bullying) took the first 2 steps towards SWF balance, to be fair.

No, they were just general survivor nerfs and have nothing to do with SWF, but rather the general unbalance

So? They still nerfed SWF. Just indirectly.

I wonder if this new endgame screen will stop lying about what rank I am on? Is it really that difficult to fix that display bug that says I am one level off the level I am really on?

I play solo as well and I don’t see this affecting survivors in any way. If you are curious to know what the killer use then just quickly send them message. That way you can move on to your next match and look at their message later, if they happen to respond back.

This will make it a lot more annoying to determine people exploiting if not actively recording matches.

That's about the tiniest, most insignificant, most minor problem in the game ever. What was seriously wrong got fixed. We can live with a game showing a number 1 above or below our actual rank...

    Well, it's finally happened...

Survivors complaining about SWF wasting time and prolonging games needlessly now that it affects THEM.

    The irony is palpable.
  • twistedmonkeytwistedmonkey Member Posts: 1,329
I do wish they could seperate the queues between solo and swf so a solo player can see the end screen.

It should be pretty simple to do you join in two seperate ways if you join by x you see it if you join by y you don't.

Since the best way to report is after the match if something looks suspicious you either report instantly or wait it out to see if a perk makes it viable to report, it would be nice for them to put some thought into how the userbase is split and how they want reports done as I can see reports going up wasting the devs time.
  • ShadoureonShadoureon Member Posts: 493

Meanwhile theres still direct links to peoples profiles... So stupid that killers are given a instant click to check other peoples profiles for potential SWF or "hurr durr 2k hours im not playing against that"

Cant think of any other game where people are forced to set their profiles on private in order to be less dodged.

and another year to finally fix the hatch? oh yes

No fixing the clown's belly jiggle was the most minor problem in the game ever. But while they were updating the end game screen, they MAY have fixed this at the same time.
