OVERVIEW

This is a guide created to help survivors who do not know how to counter the perk: BBQ & Chili. This guide will cover the ways to hide your aura from the killer.

METHODS

  • Hide in a locker right as the killer picks up the downed survivor. Count to 5 seconds after the survivor has been hooked.
  • Hide behind a generator while not repairing. This method does not work as well, but can be effective against lower skilled killers. Count to 5 seconds after the survivor has been hooked. (The aura of the generator hides your aura, but not completely.)
  • Stand within 40 meters of the hooked survivor, and count to 5 seconds after the survivor has been hooked. Whilst within 40 meters, your aura is not revealed.
  • Use the perk: Distortion. A token is consumed once BBQ & Chili is used, and your aura will not be revealed to the killer, even when meeting requirements.
  • Be the hooked survivor...

Can also make the aura reading useless by faking going one way during that 4 seconds, and then pop a 180 and go the other way. Thisll lead the killer to try to cut you off by going to the place they THOUGHT youd be.

For those of you who don't know how to count.

When survivor is hooked you can see something like black circle showing hooks aura and survivor.

BBQ should be active during it's duration.

So whenever you are faking direction or hiding in locker. Remember. BBQ stop working when black circle disappears.

I always assume every killer is running BBQ. Either that or hex ruin. I always power through a gen with a hex. It's not really difficult hitting greats

Yes, always assume killer has BBQ, unless you got distortion or buddy with distortion.
