A cheap answer, that's like you saying Nurse is too hard to play she needs a buff, and I go Pratice makes perfect, that's what KYF was made for. You would feel some type of way, I'm not playing KYF because there's not real benefit, you don't get real experience or points nobody wants to do that unless they want to fool around.
Little anectode: my gf doesn't want to play this game even though she loves watching me playing it because she doesn't want to get bullied by survivors. Yep that's right, it doesn't have to do with camping.
Let's stop pretending camping is this huge plague that drives people away. If they stop playing because of that is because they misunderstood the nature of the game, which is a competitive one (where people do what they can for their objective) and in a sort of way a strategic one, where you must respond to a strategy with another one.
Getting bullied by rank 20 survivors is the saddest moment of any killers lives, how bad do you gotta be you getting builled by rank 20 survivors...... BABY SURVIVORS????!?? That's tough.
Get a better example, because that's what I tell people who say the Nurse is too hard to play. In fact, that's what everyone tells everyone else who says the Nurse is too hard to play. She's the killer with the highest skill floor and, appropriately, the highest skill ceiling.
You do get experience if you know what you're doing. Skill checks, for example, are the same no matter if you're playing KYF or not. You can practice those. The fact that you refuse to is not a balance problem, it's a "you" problem.
@White_Owl That's likely because she's thinking of playing killer, and is a different issue altogether(BHVR's matchmaking). Camping when you first start the game is extremely excruciating as a solo survivor. All killers do this in brown and yellow ranks(or almost all), and all survivors in brown and yellow ranks do not know how to deal with it. Killers will stop camping when survivors stop making it work for the killers who do this. Eventually those killers rank up to a point where it's no longer viable, but survivors hardly rank up at all early on because of it, making getting accustomed to playing survivor harder. All they need is a tutorial for both killer and survivor telling them the most optimal way to play for the game to be more fun on the survivor side of things in the early ranks as well as the killer side of things in the later ones.
My attitude???? It's true a rank 20 survivors' chance of escaping at this point of the game is severely low, especially with that nice bbq n chili in the web and the trend on noed 1 and you telling me at rank 20 you can't down a survivor who probably has no clue what to do. I didn't even struggle that much when I first started.
A new player maybe ? Starting as killer is pretty rough especially after you win first few game against potatoes and you start getting better survivors.
You assumed it was rank 20, nobody said that. And then mocked the player like they're stupid, based on your assumption. Hell, nobody even said it was a killer player. As mentioned, survivors bully other survivors.
2 years of playing this and the game still face the same issues, says a lot. Tell me how we still have the exit bug where you don't escape but get stuck out the map huh????? Please come on console and see my phlight.
Game is only growing everyday, in 2017 average playerbase was about 10k to 14k, these days its about 25-28k players playing on steam so It's definitely not dying
This isn't my emotions this is what's happening in the game right now. If I see streamers dc-ing in front of their streamers or straight quitting the game altogether then thats a problem, if I see reviews for the game and see people rating the game as a death simulator or any colorful comparison they come up with thats a issue. If I have to wait nearly 20 minutes or more to play killer but when I find a lobby as survivor the killer sends me a message saying please dont dc that's a issue.
I enjoy reading through the threads you make. You seem to have a gift to create arguements and contravercy.
all jokes aside I’m pretty sure the devs are aware that survivors don’t like getting camped but there’s not much they can do I believe without it breaking the game.
3 years* I miscalculated. For Honor has a unique niche, DBD has a unique niche, For Honor started with a small fanbase, DBD same. There's a parallel between the two and both are based out of Canada huge comparison.
Can't have a discussion when most of the discussion I read on this thread is mainly Killer comprised, and every survivor one I see usually get one sided kinda like now.
For a new killer players around rank 10 have far superior skill to theirs. Yes if you constantly hit rank 1 they may seem to be potatoe to you but for a new player they are serious challange.
Imao real reason why survivor playerbase may be lower then normal is because of the pathetic BP gain they get unless they carry their team and constant DCers and lag issues. Camping is such a small problem since there are so many counters to it and for you to be camped you first need to be caught so you still have a chance to get better at chasing/juking.
Gen rushing, decisive stirke, borrowed time, mettle of man(hard to do though atm), instant heals, deliverance, Adrennaline, head on, exhaustion perks in general, pallets.
For Honor is also a very relevant game also they added Thor God of Thunder as a new Warrior and brought in a whole new faction, wait a minute sounds like the dbd playbook.
I am mostly worried that all the new players they're gonna be bringing in with Stranger Things will be thrown into a soup of toxicity. That'll be a lot of unneeded negativity that Behavior will suffer through. Not to mention, what if the Demogorgon ends up being weak-as-[BAD WORD] and non-meta? The disappointment is gonna be malleable and a wave of negativity will wash over the game.
There's a huge risk in doing a collaboration this big and since the developers only seem to focus on making more cosmetics and Battle Passes.. there's some serious dark clouds on the horizon for Behavior.
Unless you face hard camping bubba many. Ofc they are dependant on your team's cooperatin and personal player skill so SWF has far easier time. Like bodyblocking, cooperated hook rescue, anti camping builds, flashligts, sabotage and the best one gen rushing.
The best anti camp build would probably be DS, BT, tenacity, adrenaline. Then it's how long you can run the killer before you go down so that he has little to camp you before gens get done. When gates are open any other killer then bubba already lost and can't camp you with this build uneless you majorly screw up or you get left behind.

I would love to but as a Console player my game isn't optimized to be able to run at 30 fps so that skill check is slightly harder to hit.
Practice makes perfect. That's what KYF was made for.

@White_Owl Yup, that comes close to what I wrote above. A lot of players who play exclusively survivor have the same reason.
Getting bullied by rank 20 survivors is the saddest moment of any killers lives, how bad do you gotta be you getting builled by rank 20 survivors...... BABY SURVIVORS????!?? That's tough.

See, your attitude in this comment is what actually drives most people away.

How do survivors bully other survivors, if you mean by helping killer or body blocking that's considered griefing and is bannable.
Game is only growing everyday, in 2017 average playerbase was about 10k to 14k, these days its about 25-28k players playing on steam so It's definitely not dying
I don't man usually on rank reset when I play my Myers I usually see potatoes up until I hit rank 8.

For Honor has only been out for a bit more than 2 years, What are you even talking about how is that is slightly comparable
I enjoy reading through the threads you make. You seem to have a gift to create arguements and contravercy.

I love the game, and I think if this pack launches alongside dedicated servers it will pull in a lot of new fans. ^^
Yeah that's the business move pick a popular genre or memorable character bring them in make some moo-la and rinse and repeat.

What counters are there for camping?
I understand where you are coming from to an extent, but they aren't comparable
For Honor avg player count
DBD avg player count
Dead by daylight is still a very relevant game. these licensed chapters make it even more so
