Some players have been facing an issue that causes partial loss of progress. We found one cause of the issue and are planning a fix for the mid-chapter update. In the meantime you can use this workaround: restart the game client after using the Custom game feature. Thank you.

The best I can suggest you do is what I tell mostly everyone that has issues with DBD and it seems to work sometimes. You can either verify the integrity of your game files with DBD, or Uninstall and Reinstall the game and see what happens with that.

To Verify the integrity of your game files, you need to go to your games menu on steam, and right click on Dead By Daylight in that list. Once you right click on DBD, scroll down to Properties and proceed from there. Once you're in the properties of DBD, click on "Local Files" and once you're in that section of the window, click on the last option below called "Verify integrity of game files"

Once you do so, let steam proceed to verify the files and launch DBD to see what happens. If nothing changes, than uninstall and reinstall the game and try again. If THAT also doesn't work, than I can @Peanits or @MandyTalk to see if someone they know (Or themselves) can assist you with that issue.

If you decide not to wait if they respond to the @ than you can take the issue into your own hands a use this support link to file a ticket with the support team... Once you file the ticket, just wait until they're able to get to your ticket and further interaction is with them on the issue afterwards.

I do hope this helps and you're able to play DBD again with no issues. Good luck!

To add to the above, you can also try running dead by daylight as an administrator.

It's not a DbD issue, it's something to do with EAC. I've had the same issues with other EAC games on steam.
