I love the responses that say "Wait until PTB". As if BHVR ever implements any changes based on feedback from the PTB. The PTB actually only exists to make sure the code isn't massively game-breaking. The only changes I've ever seen implemented post-PTB are minor at best.
At that time, i overreacted like you are doing. It was for the better. I'm not concerned about this new breaking wall ability and actually find it really interesting ! I'm just more concerned about all the sabo and toolboxes changes making the game balanced more towards SWF than solo survivors.
The huge problem is that anything with a wall is a loop, so killers would be able to instantly disable all loops including shack or main building. To properly balance this I think there should be a 3 number limit to breakable walls, a temporary speed penalty after breaking a wall, and no breakable walls on shack or otherwise unsafe loops.
This is just a part of the balance needed after the ruin-nerf. Killers won't be op, they will if anything be fairly balanced together with survivors. The change hasn't even been shown in action yet.
I'm not sure if fences would be possible considering their huge RNG factor, but main building I'm fine with as long as it is still loopable to an extent.
I have a feeling the breakable walls will be meh and the new sabo might be broken. I expect more killers to slug after this patch goes live or every killer is running agitation+Iron Grasp
This argument only applies to people saying to wait until AFTER the PTB.
Waiting until the PTB is still important to give feedback on things like these regardless of how that feedback gets handled after the fact. Because we need information that we just don't have in order to evaluate the mechanic.

Did kicking pallets make you OP because it's more of the same. Just run to the next loop like all good players do.

we don't know yet which walls or jungle gym would be breakable. Probably not the shack, but mains building and fences probably.

fences are the biggest problem in maps to be honest especially i haddonfield.

Oh, and this mechanic CANNOT be a buff (or a nerf) until after it has been added to existing maps.
The new map was designed originally having the breakable walls. So it having them is just the baseline.
This game should put more in evidence that it is a game for adults not for crying children
