I do think they are too fast, in general. At the start of the match and with the change to ruin, a lot of gens pop-up. Things might slow down later, when the killer has less ground to cover to get to the remaining gens. Anyway, like the devs said, making the gens slower and forcing survivors to spend more time fixing, which is just holding down a button, is boring. The should introduce a secondary objetive to make survivors waste some time doing something else for points, for example.
When you take in account everything that can be done to speed generators up, sometimes the gens just go into hyper-drive, it's probably the most discouraging thing ever seeing two discordance notifications as killer lol. One of the reasons why I now play mostly survivor, as I don't enjoy the stress of killer anymore, it was fun with old ruin, but now I feel like a single mistake could cost me the game.

But with toolboxes yes
I wish I could change my answer, yes they're really fast, I've been in games where all gens are completed in 6-7 minutes.

Generators are not too fast, its map design
Maps the size of the cornfield maps are issues
