Why do “ toxic “ survivors get so mad when they lose / get tunneled ?

hex_genrushhex_genrush Member Posts: 736

What I mean by tunneling is not chasing the whole game but chasing right after the unhook ok back to the point, any type of BM Aimed towards ruining a players game play is toxic in my book, if I see someone t bagging or flashlight clicking I’ll remember to go out of my way if they are unhooked while I’m in proximity to them. So, why do you try to be all cute but can’t handle the heat when you lose and have to spam post game chat / messages with insults and the “ ur bad “ blah blah blah ect ect

I got called unworthy of my rank after i 4kd, 3 TIMES!! Dont let it get to you. Sore losers will always be sore losers.

They're toxic simply because they're toxic. A competitive game will indeed make that one person take things way too far.

Things would be much simpler if everyone understood it was only a game, and not you saving the world from poverty or something. Best to let them be, they'll dig themselves into a grave.

The same reason face campers get salty when 4 escape.

Because that person needs a way to feel powerful, or in control, and when they feel that way, and it's taken away from them, they have a mini explosion in their brain and cant handle it.

“Why do toxic get mad when they get tunneled”

oh yes I love sitting in long queues to play vs a killer who holds W and chases me off hook without being able to do anything

yea F those people who get mad!!!!!

I play both sides at reds

its clear based on your lack of understanding that you do not. I refuse to tunnel or camp and will let someone go since it’s not fun to just kill someone off immediately.

”I felt like I had power so I don’t care if I ruined it for someone else”

also is it really that hard to just look at a wall or bait the flashlight?

It feels super lame when you have a really productive game and the Killer singles you out right at the end.

My brain basically turn into a little kid screaming “ITS NOT FAIR!” when I realize I’m not save-able and I watch everyone else leave.

Especially since in red ranks you need every emblem point to pip. So sometimes the Silver emblem the Killer gave you from getting camped at the end is the deciding factor keeping you from ranking up so you feel robbed

You REFUSE to camp and tunnel? Man I bet quite a few stupid survivors get away from you for that.

I'm not saying do it every time, but in some situations it's literally the best move.

I go out of my way to avoid double hooking within a minute or 2 of unhook. I still get complaints from some whiney players. It happens. Last night I ran into the unhooked Feng on the other side of the map. Best part is we were coming from opposite directions. Round the corner, see a body, swing, recognize the only Feng in the match as just having gotten off the hook so I leave her. I chase and hook 2 others before finding Feng again, but after the 4I I get called a tunneler by Feng.

Luckily, her SWF friends disagreed and the chat turned positive.

It happens. Some players just whine. Most are either children or living in mom's house still.

I also do my best not to tunnel as a killer (I almost certainly lose kills in the game for it but I think it makes the game a lot more fun for all involved so whatevs) but if a survivor is just being a prick, I have no problem tunneling their ass.

It takes a lot to get me that irked but you better believe I'll go Terminator on yo ass and make you my Sarah Connor if you're going to be a jerk and I will have nothing but a big ol smile on my face if you send me angry messages about it.

    Hehe.

When you get a game with two objects of obsession.

And when both objects die, other two survivors just DC.

It's the mentality most bullies share. They can harass you but if you do it back you're in the wrong and toxic.

I had once a game where i played with combo of ruin+ surveillance and 4 gens close to me and the hooked survivor were lightning white for quite some long time so i was camping the guy until survivors decide to do gens. They didnt. And i got called camper in post chat when clearly it was them camping the hook waiting for me to leave to get free rescue :D

People who only play survivor just want the game to be an Ochido simulator. They don't play killer so they're only concerned about their experience and when it comes to discussing balance, they only focus on things that would be positive for them. I only tbag to sacrifice myself for someone else, and I'm surprised at how much it works. Killer can get two kills in endgame but he sees me tbagging and goes for me, he buys into the bait.

tunneling without camping is a good idea. if you take someone out early (especially with three hooks) you will put the survivors on a bad foot. if they got tunneled its because you outplayed them.

You're getting bullied at Coldwind? Pray tell, how exactly are they harassing you?

    i get tunneled (your definition) even when im not being toxic. ;_;

  • CleviteClevite Member Posts: 1,069

It just sux to be tunneled off the hook, it can feel like you didn't get a chance to play and often results in that depip that just seems to insult you. Even tho we know ranks can be meaningless.

But with that said, getting salty over it is something the survivor must work out for themselves by understanding killer is tough, and this is often the best way to swing some momentum back in their favor. I used to get upset over it, and it will still be a bit frustrating, however give em a gg and move on. At least you got to practice that looping.
