Oh God...am I the potato?!?!?

I was playing survivor for a quick game this morning and came to a realization...

I might be the potato survivor!!! :,(

Now this is a bit of a hyperbole as I'm at least smart enough to not try to rescue people when the killer is on me (so at least my potatoness doesn't get team members killed) but I realized today after I went back to a gen I know the killer saw me at that that was an incredibly stupid play and as someone who plays killer, it's the first place I'd go after I was finished hooking the person I carried.

I also can't distract the killer worth ######### (I swear if I'm the killer, pallets are in every possible spot they can be at but when I'm a survivor, those stupid things have taken to quarantine from Corona cause they social distance like Champions).

Maybe the fact that I'm realizing this will help me stop doing it. But probably not for I am what I am...

Fellow potatoes, anything to add?

EDIT: Also, I kind of realize I'm not ACTUALLY a potato because I actually am trying to do gens and hexes and whatnot (I'm just not very good at it) rather than just sitting in the corner doing stuff but let me have this fun!!!

I often make incredibly stupid plays that I immediately realise were the wrong thing to do. Then I panic because I don't want to get chewed out for it in post-game chat. But realising your mistake is the key thing, because it gives you the opportunity to learn from it and improve. True potatoes often don't even know they're doing it wrong.

My one saving grace is that I'm usually the first person biting the dust because of my screw-ups so it's not likely anyone but the killer saw it :D

You know, i have no idea why but i feel like i would love to eat some potatos right now. :P

On a more serious note. Yeah we all mess up sometimes. Like i will go and do something in game and than i go ah right, i mess up. Should of done x rather than y.

No you're hardly alone, I can't loop a killer to save my life.

I think the biggest thing is I'm really bad at looking behind me when I try to loop, so I lose track of where the killer is and fail to double back or change direction in time every time.

It's pretty embarrassing for someone who actually takes a twisted pride in being a rank 1 killer.

You know if you think about it though sometimes it's almost you giving back to the universe in a way, you know the struggle killers go through sometimes, just think that your potato tendencies as survivor probably made some killer's game a lot more productive and fun.

    Silver linings man! Silver linings.

Also completely unrelated and I can't imagine I say this often, but that is one cute potato.

Everyone has those potato moments every once in a while, but you are one of those who realise that you did a mistake. You will learn from that and that is what counts.

I phase in and out of being potato. Usually game to game.

I am a super survivor!...as long as the killer never spots me :D

You could try using Windows of Opportunity, it's a Kate Denson perk that shows you the auras of all windows and pallets within 20 meters. It's very helpful if you're having trouble finding spots to loop.

Game last night on Azarov's. Ash and I trying to finish a gen in Legion's face. Ash gets downed next to the gen. I run over to the gen as soon as he gets picked up and Legion doesn't drop him to stop me from finishing the gen. I think, "Ok, must be an inexperienced killer. Whatever." Hooks Ash and books it towards me. I start tapping the gen, figuring I can take a hit, finish it, and loop the crane/pallet. Instead, I get grabbed off the gen at 99.9% in between taps and get hooked near Ash. Rank 2 survivor btw. The potato lives in all of us. We still all managed to escape because lol Legion at red ranks.

Good to know. That's not a survivor I have really used (I have only had this game for like...a month now). I really should look more into survivors I've ignored cause I'm sure they have some shiny perks.

I tried to immediatly vault a window a plague just vaulted to dodge her hit. I really thought she wouldn't be able to hit me. So demn potato. xD

I am a potato, especially against stealth Killers. Here I am, urban evading around a bush so the killer doesn't see me and all of a sudden, I walk into the killer.

Mindgames? Ha! I confuse myself every match.

I embrace my potatoeyness, at least I am delicious.

    Hey, me too!

OK, A fork in the path and I lost the killer! Surely I am safe choosing [Insert Path I chose]!

Repeat until I am dead :D

To be fair as a killer main this scares the living hell out of us too. We usually only get the hit because you ran right into us scaring the living hell out of us and we hit M1 instinctively.

I play killer more often than survivor (probably a 60/40 split) and that is also true. I've had plenty of times where a survivor jumped onto my knife and confused the hell out of me where they came from :D

The odds for it to happen increase by 100 if im going against Ghost Face or Daddy Meyers
