Let us all be honest; this next patch doesn't do jackshit about gen speeds.
The next patch will help killers to end chases faster, because they reduced safe pallets. And they reduced the map size so killers can patrol the gens faster. Gen speed isnt changed much yes but killers can apply pressure way better after the patch.
Yup. People always single out one particular item or change that, individually, seems weak...without consideration for the numerous other things happening that factor into a holistic change.
This Thread is the perfect example of someone not thinking ahead.
those who go for an optimal gen rush will do separate gens, now and after the patch, no change.
but this is merely meant to give the killer a chance to reach the other side of the map before a gen pops, tahts all
I remember when I started burning the offerings to have Survivors started separately. That just ended up with 3 gens being completed in my face as I hooked my first survivor.
With them working all on one gen, it'll just be one, maybe two, gens that get done early.
I actually think this patch is gonna cause even a worse genrush than it is rn. And that's because prove thyself is gonna be meta
Prove Thyself did not change at all, compared to the current version.
It's gone up 5% when it really is needing a nerf.
It does not need a nerf. Nobody uses it as is.
Maybe don’t judge an update before it comes out, maybe if you don’t like how things are going in this game then maybe play a different one if you’re gonna be mouthing towards BHVR
This patch makes it easier for killers with less than optimal pressure (ex. Everyone who isnt Spirit, Billy, Nurse or Freddy) to apply pressure. Chases are shorter, so gen speeds arent touched. The changes to coop repair is very welcome tho.
Yes it does. Shorter chases, less time spent traversing the map, and a little bit more time when people stack on gens. As a whole, the changes are going to be effective.
It does the exact same thing pre-patch as it does post-patch. It hasn't changed anything. The more people bunched on a single gen, the better for the killer. Wouldn't you want people to bring it?
Just take NOED and voila you’ve doubled the survivors objectives in one perk.
And the Penalty has gone up by 5% as well. So if you now use Prove Thyself and work on a Gen with another Survivor or you do that after the Patch, it will exactly be the same.
So the function of the Perk did not change, it did not get buffed, it got adjusted to the higher penalty.
Seriously, sometimes I really think people dont understand what the Perk is doing and only see "faster Gen Speed, OMG!!"...
And I'm saying they should have left it at 10%
Not when it's increased PER SURVIVOR. That's overkill.
But it is the same like now. Why should more people use it? When someone is not using it right now, they will most likely not use it when it is adjusted.
Right, except it without a doubt does. The numbers have been changed such that they are slower than before. Assuming you're crunching the numbers correctly, there is not a single instance where a generator will be done faster than before.
I honestly think people are underestimating the nerf to great skill checks. I don’t know about anyone else but I hit greats on gens way more often than not so this change to the bonus (1.6 seconds saved, down to 0.8) will add a few seconds to each gen I do, dependent on RNG. A few seconds doesn’t seem like much but it can be the difference between a killer pressuring a survivor off a gen and the survivor finishing it.
It hasn't even come out yet,we'll be able to tell when it does. Even tho it might look bad on paper, you never know how good it will be in practice.
Or much slower. I'm sincerely hoping the map changes will help with it.
Since there isn't a change to the number of working separately it doesn't matter 😏
Jk it's a huge change everyone just complains even tho they haven't played ptb. If they did TRUST ME this discussion wouldn't exist
