I can value a cow turd at $15 and somebody out there will buy it. Does that mean that the cow turd is worth 15$? Most people probably wouldn't agree.
Yes, there's obviously people who will buy something for any price if they like something about it enough, but that's kind of the point. Some people will view it as worth it, and other people will question why they do.
As for how I feel, I personally think it is kind of a ripoff and sets a bad precedent. I feel bad saying that because I did buy into the battle pass, but I felt better doing that with how much free time I have rather than buying skin after skin, because it's simply more cost efficient for me to get skins that way than through buying a bunch off the store. That being said, I still can recognize that the system is kind of predatory in the way it works, and that it isn't consumer-friendly. As somebody pointed out in a previous comment, the skin itself is worth more than the whole DLC. Actually double. I found myself asking what the difference between a new character entirely and a legendary skin would be, and it seems like it's just another reskin just without perks and a new voice. So why would somebody pay 3x the price for a "character" that comes with less actual value in-game than an actual character?
Again, you can feel how you want about it, but even though it's all kind of a gray area, my line starts to be drawn when the value of something just seems way too off. Battle pass, sure maybe it's a little predatory but for some people like me it's more cost efficient. As for the legendary skins? Well, the cost vs. what you get for those is pretty obvious...
Yeah, I sometimes get a distaste in my mouth when I see a pink haired Nea named "toxicnea" or "toxicnoob3cutie" or a bunny Feng, but I won't camp or tunnel them for that.
Haha yeah! I had just sold a couple movies online to secure some money for Lisa since I already had $17 for the chapter and I figured she'd cost more than a normal purple skin.
It's just a feeling that I get. They can be 3 things. 1: A very nice and fair survivor. 2: A bad player. Or 3: A sweaty tryhard with stretched resolution. Something about the cosmetic just irks me.
It's pretty vindictive. What is basically happening is that some killers are seeing this skin, know you really wanted it, know you bought it, and know you want to have a fun time with it.
They see putting the kibosh on this as a challenge i guess. Its like a griefing opportunity presented on a silver platter.
Lisa's have a huge target on their backs. Why? Cause you really wanted to play as Lisa. I don't condone it, just imo.
I remember that concept way back as well, time flies, I like the skin actually, it's just when I play against a bunny Feng, I don't know what to feel, anxious, relaxed or whatever.
I saw one post where someone proposed a protest by going after the Lisa's. Not too many people went along with it,at all. I mean,it's a $15 skin. I can see why people aren't happy. I'm a big fan of the character, but can't justify the purchase. That doesn't mean I have some sorta hatred towards someone than does buy it. That's kind of silly. Just be easier to start a thread and complain. If it gets enough traction the devs usually see it. There's plenty of digital stuff that's been sold for way more money, and you always see people take issue with it.
I was excited to see the Lisa's running around but the first and only Lisa I've seen so far was a Tbagging douche so I tunneled the ever loving [BAD WORD] out of them. I hope to make friends with other Lisas! :3
When I see a Lisa Garland In game I immediately think "you paid £15 for a skin, when I down you I will let you go only once as you are contributing towards a character I want being available as a legendary skin in the future" everytime, unless they're really good then I treat them equally.
I honestly don't understand the brain dead mindset of people who feel the need to punish people for buying and wearing a skin. Who gives two craps if the skin is more than the DLC, if you don't like it, go out for the devs, not the players who earned the money fair and square to buy a skin they like for a character they like. I don't support the fact that the skins cost more than the DLC, its pretty [BAD WORD], but I'm not gonna sit my ass down and camp, tunnel and mori survivors who buy the skin they like, just because they buy it doesn't mean they really support it. They have every right to spend their money however they like, without all of you other salty killer mains getting onto them about it, instead of punishing them (which does nothing to help you), bother the devs!!!!
I bought the skin and played quite a few matches today, and I didn't notice a single game where I felt targeted (luck?). Didn't know there were people being so petty about it, but it doesn't surprise me. I believe a good chunk community doesn't have the maturity level to handle this game.
As for the skin, its probably one of my favorite skins in the game and will be my main from now on. I tend to run healing builds so now I have a skin to role-play with which is really cool. Considering the fact that I didn't buy the last three chapters nor any battle-pass/skins I felt like I could spend more cash than I normally would on a single skin that i'll probably use until DBD dies.
For the people arguing "It's a cheap cash grab! She doesn't even have a different voice" like...you do realise most of the voices in the game are from the Dev Team? They don't hire actors for grunts and screams. Besides you'd just complain how annoying their voice is and you want another one. It's a lose lose. Nobody is going to be completely happy.

Equality for all is perfect
Believe it or not, most people don’t care for lore, perks or a separate voice actor. They buy it because they like the design/look and enjoy the game.
Plus they give a little bit of lore with her cosmetic pieces when you buy them so that's cute

Pretty sure its by jaleousy because you paid it with real money, like the guys thatsfind their sport cars scratched by envious and stupid people.

Whats wrong with Bunny Feng?
It's just a feeling that I get. They can be 3 things. 1: A very nice and fair survivor. 2: A bad player. Or 3: A sweaty tryhard with stretched resolution. Something about the cosmetic just irks me.
I remember being a freshman in high school and bunny feng min being shown haha wow that was like 3 years ago :o

Indeed price is abusive just for a skin. Ok its one of the best but still... i didnt buy it just for this reason
I remember that concept way back as well, time flies, I like the skin actually, it's just when I play against a bunny Feng, I don't know what to feel, anxious, relaxed or whatever.
Ngl. That's kinda weird lol.

Haha sweetheart killer
Maybe if bhvr eased up on the availabilty of tools and mechanics to troll their consumer base, bhvr would have more consumers.
Is it too late to blame Konami for the price hike? I know BHVR has some say in it too, but I would think this'd be a mandate from Konami.

Sincerely, a fellow friendly killer main!
Pfft, Real-life rabbits are gross.

The persecution will make your stronger in the end until those who play Lisa are god survivors.
It's just people being really petty. Nothing new, same happened with Bunny Feng and Dwelf.
Should ppl be tunneled for having an opinion though. The liked what they bought.
Same
Same here as well

THIS!!!!! Like Cheryl and Nancy literally have the same voices so do Adam and Tapp.
