After the Meg gets unhooked, every survivor gets chased and downed, and one of them is hooked. 59 seconds later, DS still hits. How is this still considered an anti-tunnel perk?
Becuz devs said its not antitunnel its antimomentum the thing they didnt thought its that everyone got it
I mean the devs have come right out and said they don't consider DS strictly an anti-tunnel perk. That was something the community came up with.
The conditions on DS are so specific that it doesn’t take much to play around it. I hope they buff DS. 60 seconds is too short and five second stun is too short for a one time use perk.
Ah yes, let's buff a meta perk that allows people to get free unhooks and gen progress without much risk.
It's a second chance perk, not an Anti-tunnel perk.
Someone hasn't played at red ranks, where DS is essentially 60 seconds of immunity to most people.
Yes. Because the game play it punishes (from an aggressive killer) is the worse of the two evils.
Also, I enjoyed the nurse game play. I’m going to try that build on my nurse.
Also also, Nurse and Spirit’s abilities make it where a person DSing basically doesn’t matter. They catch up so quickly. Especially in the clip’s scenario. Makes it hard to empathize with being DS’d. That wasn’t some ESPN Turning Point situation or anything.
You’re welcome to join me on Discord and we can chat while playing killer.
The Killer should be the power role. They should be able to do whatever playstyle they want, passive or aggressive. If a SINGLE perk allows you to force the Killer to play passively, then The Killer isn't the power role anymore, which goes against the tone that the game tries to get.
And it doesn't matter if two or three of the twenty-one Killers in the game aren't affected by Decisive Strike, since the rest still suffer tremendously from it. It's like how Pig was when they came out and people were frustrated about gen speeds. They slapped a bandaid on in the form of one Killer, but that didn't solve the problem for the rest of the cast, and it still doesn't and it never will.
Being a better player, killer or survivor, makes you the power role. This game is not auto win. It’s a trial.
I think being a power role killer includes understanding and avoiding being DS’d or just eating the stun and winning despite.
DS is a perk that gives you the ability to stab the killer if they pick you up during a 60 second timer that starts after you get unhooked.
It also can be used to counter tunneling.
Whining about people using it even when they were not tunneled and using it's "unti-tunneling" perk as a reason is just stupid.
The description of the perk clearly says what it does. No reason to cry about it working the way it should.
Being the power role doesn't mean being able to 4K while you masturbate. There needs to be more perks like DS, a lot more, that can slow momentum for killers that try to plow through the match at 4-5 gens. Forget the tone, the entity feeds on hope.
She was unhooked and downed 30s later? And you went to go pick her up not much after that but you expect people to feel sorry for you? Aww poor you.
Soo the killer is getting punished for outperforming and he should be punished because survivors refused to heal and kept fixing gens?
great survivor logic
Deserved for slugging everyone else.
DS is not anti tunneling it's pro slugging, people say it's meta I disagree I believe it's a solid b teir perk because if it's end game you can leave without consequences but if its start or middle of the game it's pretty much useless if you DS a killer and there's still 5 or 4 gens up you wasted your perk sure it gives a second chance but it doesn't stop tunneling and never will since that's the play style devs want I feel the new killer pyramidhead proves that because I've never met a pyramidhead that doesn't tunnel you
The sad thing is that DS is SO CLOSE to being a well designed anti tunnel perk. Just reduce the timer from 40/50/60 to maybe 15/20/25, and just make it so the timer stops while in a chase and while down.
This is a change that'd actually make me use DS a little bit more. As is the sixty second timer always runs out and the killer hadn't even been near me, but then probably suddenly appear again right as it finishes with my luck. But then as soon as I take it off I'm tunneled until my death. It fits better as a anti-tunnel than an anti-momentum perk in my opinion.
Devs confirmed DS is more than an anti tunnel perk and they seem to be happy with it.
Those blinks were on point, my god. . .
But yeah, as said, the devs said it isn't anti tunnel. I just figure they didn't account for how strong it would be after the change.
He would have avoided DS entirely if he picked up either of the other survivors he had slugged... at that point you’re “being punished” for not paying attention, not for playing too well.
If DS is an anti-tunnel perk, the current definition of the tunnel is probably: being carried by the killer less than a minute after being unhooked.
If DS is not an anti-tunnel perk: there is no problem.
And this video and this reflection are quite funny. In less than a minute, the killer succeeds in completely turning the game over to his advantage, even in simply finishing the game (when there are still 2 generators to repair), and there is no doubt that this survivor was again in a dying state a few seconds later, and this did not change the outcome of the game. But the problem is DS. Ok, why not...
because usually killers like to tunnel me and ill waste 40 seconds of their time or so before hitting them with ds intentionally.
Killer: gee i sure wish there were other survivors
I'm glad i have it every game since theres so many tunnel losers
These devs don't take Jack into account; they're awful at their own game, and they balance the game around their own made up fantasy gameplay; like how they said "4 seconds isn't even that much time to let a survivor get to a pallet or window" when nerfing Legion
Ebony Mori: "Allows you to kill any survivor by your hand after they have been hooked once"
Works as it's stated! Yet it's the most hated thing in the game 🤔
It's not considered an anti tunneling perk, even the devs said this wasn't their intent.
Haha, you only have yourself to blame here. You got greedy and had two other downed survivors to pick up, but you chose the one that could have DS'ed you. And don't act like you still didn't get a 3 or 4k...
There's something called skill, try to get it if you can't watch for gens
