Ebony Moris need a hard [BAD WORD] nerf

Ever since ruin was nerfed it feels like the killers I face are using as many ebony moris as they can possibly use. I have had multiple games in a row multiple nights in a row where the killer has ebony and then they just tunnel down the first person they hook which just puts a strain on the game for the rest of the survivors then they continue to moris tunnel until they have the second to last guy and then they down them both and start to mori spam. This many games in a row where this bullshit continues to happen is [BAD WORD] maddening. The only way I'm able to enjoy this game as of now is playing blendette and only helping myself to escape. They are also way too common for an ultra rare offering that just gives you wins. I have my recently prestiged my Leatherface abd got him up to 50 again and I have 20 unused ebonys and I'm obviously not the only persone getting all these moris and that means that stronger killers like spirit are getting them just as often. 20 games worth of easily abusable power meant only to make any survivor want to quit the game. i would just play killer if i didnt have more survivor challenges I needed to do. Besides gen times are busted and keys exist but those are 2 completely different discussions.

    So we are not gonna talk about keys? (Also Im a killer main since beta and think ebonys should be changed to 2 hooks instead of 1.)

    Moris are definitly stronger then keys, but you are right, keys also should be nerfed. So how about we remove them both?

    Sounds good like me, I never used them in the first place. (Sadly we already know devs wont remove moris, with the licensing and animation work they've done) :)

    I think I beat you earlier with a key today.

    Fact is, keys are endgame only. Even an Ivory mori can end the game at 5 gens.

    Keys may be endgame but they can make a killer easily lose a kill or two that they need to pip! (And also I was slacking on matches today, I was on a asarov map where a claudette got a hatch escape.) If it was you, I didn't see the key, I would of took the shot if I knew LOL

    It was a game on rotten fields, with no DS, where the entire team got out because of two keys, while you(?) desperately tried to camp out a kill after all 5 gens were done. The endgame chat was "I hate keys" or something similar. Or maybe it was another deathslinger.

    Anyways, all 5 gens got done without a kill that game. Do you think it was keys that were a problem or how stupidly strong a camping killer is? I think there were 3-4+ more hooks made, more the entire of the 5 gens, while the survivors tried to get everyone out.

    If there are no keys, an ivory mori lets you murder someone at 5 gens left. Effectively ending the game for at least 3 of the survivors, 4 if you are willing to slug for 4 minutes. It is especially bad on stealth killers who can ignore BT and smack someone down for the mori literally a second after they get off the hook.

    Yea 100% not me. Only maps I have had today was swamp, (4 [BAD WORD] times) asarov twice, and haddonfield 3 times. I somehow have not lost a single game on rottenfields yet even though it is one of the worst maps in the game. (Im a ranged killer though so middle of map makes it easier)

    I don't see moris anywhere near that often. Maybe one out of ten games.

    It doesn't bother me because it makes it more of a challenge. I won't mess around and try and get in chases with the killer, I will just focus on gens and get out.

    It is like the survivor equivalent to a killer going against a 4 man swf. Sure the odds are against you but you can still get a win.

    I think keys are terrible too I just dont see them as much as I see moris I believe they should also be nerfed im fine with that nerf they just don't need to be strong

    And what on earth makes you think I’m a survivor main? I play both sides so I know what’s broken. That’s why when I use a mori I don’t blame survivors for dcing.

    There’s no room to adapt being tunneled after 1st hook only to be moried and getting 3k points. I’d rather queue again.

    Who wants to play a game with a mori when you’re just gonna be tunneled off the hook and mori instantly. Those games are so boring and predictable. Yawn

    There is no “adapting” to any killer with a mori. Any competent killer is going to win using an ebony mori. It’s basically a spoon-fed victory.

    And saying “survivor main” isn’t an insult.

    Well, considering Leatherface has no URs, it's kind of self explanatory why you'd get so many moris on him. So really a killer like spirit, who has 2 URs, has a 3 times lower chance at getting an ebony.

    I agree that moris are broken, but they should be reworked rather than removed, because that would waste those cool animations.

    Also in regards to keys, i feel they are on atleast an equal level, for one, multiple can brought into a match: even if you don't bring a key, there's a chance someone else can, theoretically increasing their match frequency fourfold. Secondly, if even one person brings said key, even if they are killed, the key can be picked up and still be used. (Not to mention i've never seen someone with out ATLEAST ONE of the "You keep this key even if blah blah" addons). Thirdly, 3 chests spawn minimum every game which keys have a chance to be found in, unless the killer brings a coin, but if the killer did then they didn't bring a mori. That amount can be increased to an absurd 11 chests if 4 survivor coins are burned. (YES I KNOW THAT'S NOT LIKELY). Finally, while survivors have to complete gens to use keys, that number is reduced for every survivor dead. I've had plenty of games where i could have won if the survivors didn't stealth around the map for 10 minutes with only 1 gen left just for them to all escape hatch. Also within the current game meta, (Fast gen, fast game) it is extremely believable that at least 3 gens are done before the killer has 5 or 6 hooks or aren't even able to use their mori, ( Also, this isn't me trying to be rude, but if you don't get caught, you can't get mori'd) while even if the killer tunnelled and mori'd the key holder, the others can pick it up and find hatch without even needing last gen, therefore no reason to expose themselves (IE Just stealth). The only real counter to which would be a stealth killer to catch them off guard or Doctor. This isn't me saying "MORIS AREN'T BROKEN" they are and need tweaked, but this is me saying that keys are on the same level.

    My fix: yellow mori is base kit, green is changed to purple and requires 4 total hooks and the mori-ee to have been hooked twice, same with the ebony mori. Keys receive a longer use timer for addons (Except blood amber, tremendously increase useage rate), green key is 20 seconds, purple 10, UR 45. Then keys take 8 seconds to activate, immediately close hatch so no other escapees, and lock hatch for 30 seconds (No second key use for that time). Good excuse for reworking addons, New addons increase activation speed and a new UR addon keeps hatch open for 3 seconds to let others come with.

    Hmm, I can't recall the last time no one on my survivor team didn't go down to the killer. 🤔

    Saying "Don't go down" isn't a valid counterpoint, just saying.

    Killers are a good inspiration for that - they dodge all the time. :)

    Instead of adapting (aka changing their Loadout/the Killer) they dodge a Lobby.

    DCing during Loading Screen is not any different from Lobby Dodging - the other 4 players have to wait and they will not lose any Add Ons or Offerings.

    Even if they tunnel the person off hook just deal with it, I do believe the devs won’t ever remove ebony’s or and mori without removing keys

    Eboni and keys should never exist because both don't improve the only good thing of DbD: the chases. Devs are aware of it: Eboni is the perfect addon for lazy killer and keys are created to balance endgame since the killer's ability to shut down the opened hatch.

    Devs are probably agree with it because they were the worst flashlighted killers what they couldn't make 3 hooks on the same victim. So they incorporate Ebonis Moris to satisfy their nullness as killers and to give to themselves a chance to kill someone. As they will never play survivors and surv legitimately need something to balance this crap against the tunnel/facecamp which it is logically associated to this reserved Addon only for noob, devs have added another useless stuff to their broken game and it is called "Keys".

    If you are honest you should notice all keys are totally useless because it is no "new features" on it, only similar stuff to some others survivor perks. The only good addons about these stupid (and egocentric) keys are generally not used because they are too much situational: you will never used it when you should do... Another failed DbD thing: how many players keep hundreds repairboxes or others 'broken keys' (!!!) because all these stuffs are pratically useless for chases or to stay alive against killers ?

    Without speaking about constant changes or "adjustments" - as the devs call it - about how all these stuffs work...

    Finally, devs have a monstruous lack of imagination and they can't do anything to balance the game, to shut down all the complaining voices and to keep players (killers as survivors) in game. The easy way is always the way they will take because the BEhaviour politic dictate their own behaviour. But the boat has begun to sink and no medkit or toolbox can't plug the leak. Each time the devs or the thinking heads take bad decisions as they do since the dedicated servers, they get close to their own death...

    Treatment, punishment !...

    Actually, ebony moris really don't spawn that often on the bloodweb. What happened is that the vast majority of killers never used them prior to the Ruin nerf because they were too game changing. However, the Ruin nerf itself was so game changing that a significant number of killers changed their minds and over so much time, they had a large amount stored up. The influx of ebony moris being used is just one of the consequences of one of the least thought through changes in the game. Had they reworked gen speeds along side the Ruin nerf, it would have made sense, but on its own, it was just stupid and has resulted in a number of consequences that survivors are now complaining about. Hope it was worth it, but juding by the number of tears shed over the backlash, it doesn't seem so.

    ya lets not forget the ebony moris with all red add-ons LOL thats no where near as bad as a survivor with a key, you can just mori that guy and tunnel the [BAD WORD] out of them, i like how killers complain but they literally have all the power to do what they want

    Not going down is the only counter to mories, simply gen rush and loop the killer as much as possible

    survivors don't adapt to the situation, they want the situation to adapt to them.

    Mories are great since they push me to play more carefully and better
