1 Hit down hatchets need to go

There is nothing more overpowered than the ability to instantly down someone from ranged or just by running behind them and throwing the hatchet.


That combined with your hitbox being 300% times bigger when the hatchet is thrown at you.

    They don’t need to go, just learn to dodge her hatchets it’s easy. Only a rank 20 survivor would say they need to go cause they cry anytime they get downed by one!

    Myers has to work to get a 1 hit down and so does Hillbilly and so does fatboy.

    Huntress does point and click adventure and can down people when they've already got around a corner because the dedicated servers benefit a killers laggy ISP.

    Although I think swf is a much bigger issue. Iri hatchets are the only broken thing on the killers side. Other than ebony Moris. They should just make it so Iri head make missed hatchets come back to you. Let's be honest though. How often do you play against huntress. Then an Iri head huntress that can actually hit their shots.

    Not really. It used to be worse but to be honest it's not that bad. You just have to make sure the Billy doesn't zone you out because then your screwed.

    Im pretty sure the devs have said they know they're not balanced, idk why they're taking so long to nerf them. At least instasaw billy will be gone when they update his addons next mid chapter

    Absolutely agree. The only ones disagreeing with this are obviously killer mains. It’s so OP. People saying just dodge them cus apparently it’s easy. Bs. Huntress hatchets have a bs hit box as it is so now combine this with her hatchets being 1 hit down that’s just so ridiculously OP. Basically don’t need skill now with that. Cus with the ######### hit box you can basically completely miss the survivor and still hit them.


    this has to either be completely removed from the game cus it’s just bs and I can’t be bothered playing against that or you add some big handicap to get the 1 hit hatchet like for example you have to hit 3 survivors before it becomes 1 hit (maybe something similar to Myers main ability) or the 1 hit hatchet only applies to the obsession or whatever.


    it just makes being huntress so easy, it removes the skill involved in the game. I’ve seen yellow ranks have this 1 hit down hatchets and they’d get 3k or 4k even if they were completely shite.

    Unless you're standing 5ft from the edge of a wall safely on the other side, it's easy to dodge them.

    I wouldn’t mind them as much if it wasn’t for these two things:

    The server siding with the killer in determining if it hit you or not. The hitbox is quite large on the hatchets so even when you’re around a corner, they can get you.

    Secondly, theres zero work required to get that power. She doesn’t have to work for it like Michael does. It’s just handed to her, which is kinda annoying.

    Huntress is a high risk, high reward killer. You move slowly, so most of the time your only reliable chase pressure is your hatchets, which do eventually run out and you had to reload at a locker which takes some time. Not to mention you actually have to be good at aiming them to land them.

    This being said, I do think an instant down ranged attack is too much. Just because the killer is difficult to play does not mean the power spike should be that high to compensate. You play hard killers because you want a challenge, not to have an absurd amount of power. I agree that they should remove her instant down. You already gain enough power being able to hit and down survivors from a distance (cross map, even) so being able to instantly down them on top of that is crossing the line IMO.

    They wouldn't be an issue if huntress didn't throw beach balls. They need to nerf it, by making it range based like the deathslingers pink add on.

    Don't remove them, just make them stop stacking with Infantry Belt so she ALWAYS has 1 hatchet with it.

    I'd rather them change it to a range requirement for a one shot. Limiting it to 1 would make iri head REALLY bad, and I'd rather see the add-on be good but require skill than be yet another awful red.

    I think it's balanced by the fact that its a free down from nearly any range with enough skill.

    Ridiculously broken add on. A hatchet should never ever insta down a healthy survivor.

    id love to see it changed to something like Deathslingers add on where it only insta downs survivors far away. Like, maybe 24 meters away or something

    To my knowledge the extent that some people hate iri head is enough to cheat just so they don't have to play the game with it. It has gone into the barrel hit the dc penalty bottom and has started drilling to the earths core at this point.

    thoughts on changing to be insta down from a minimum distance?

    like lets say 30 meters but you get 3 instead of 1 so now it requires skill and people get to keep the op item?

    idk just spit-ballin ideas

    That would be unecessary pointlessly over nerfed.


    All it needs is 20 meters or more is an instant down, no need for limited hatchets, so you get default 5. Hell, throw in 60 meters or more is an instant down and hook in a basement or on a nearby hook for the lols. The amount of cross map hatchet hits is so low, im not even mad when I do get hit by such a thing, as you get more than enough time to react to it.


    So, going the safe route, 20 meters or more is an instant down, anything less is a normal hatchet. Can carry default amount of hatchets.

    Thats all it needs to be.
