Positive and honest feedback, what would you change about Deathslinger for improvement.

I really like playing as Deathslinger because his character design is super dope and I like using the redeemer but recently I've heard that A LOT of people don't like him very much?

Some say he's balanced because he's a long-distance killer but is very slowed down, plus his re-load speed is really slow too. But his "long-distance is only 18-20 meters which does seem really far, but it's incredibly easy to miss. Everyone says he's weak because of this, or that he has no interaction with the players as much as the other killers?

I just want honest opinions about some things that could improve his gameplay and have less people complain dislike him. I'd mainly just want to make his re-load speed faster so it doesn't add on to the fact that he's already slow. What would y'all change/fix/ or add?

    I think they should change his iri shot to 10m, or make it shoot bullets that injure, but the reload is twice as slow, and it takes longer to aim. It's a ultra rare and the distance is 18m, I believe. Been awhile since I played as him. Who actually hits that insta-down though? Seems impossible. Also, make the chain reach a lil further.

    Improve the range of his terror radius. It's pretty ridiculous how close he needs to be for survivors to actually hear it.

    Add ons that give the shot status effects

    Winters ice hinders movement speed.

    Berious Toxin that gives exhaustion

    Hot coals that shake vision

    Fishing hooks that cause mangled.

    Ect-



    And basekit

    Distance increases chain strength.

    Increase movement, killers without mobility have no pressure, gens fly matches lost.

    Idk if you have to buff speed outside of a chase only

    Or give him a Skeleton horse dash that lets him zip and cover ground but not damage survivors and makes him reload after idc i just need mobility plz

    Give him a heat mechanic. The higher the heat, the greater the chance for the gun to jam and require reloading. Mess with the jam chance and heat gain rates, and if it's too oppressive, then bump his move speed up to 4.6 m/s (115%) and increase his Terror Radius.

    The main thing they should change is his ability delay when he lowers his Redeemer after aiming. The fact he can aim, lower, aim, lower, aim shoot is kinda busted and sorta makes loops and tile play vs him tedious and exassperating. Especially since him just following you not ADSing is enough to scare experienced survivors to still wiggle side to side in case of the quick-shot.

    They should make him have to wait 0.75/1 second before he can aim again after cancelling his ADS.

    His TR is fine at 24m since he is 4.4m/s.

    His range is fine too. It's just the interaction at tiles vs his Redeemer that makes him super annoying to vs. He plays amazing, but vsing him is a pain.

    not too much, I love him. I think the least enjoyable thing I see when playing him is when I hook someone but they dropped the pallet, so I walk around with them hooked and they easily break before I can get there, maybe if it slowed how fast it broke based on your distance to them? So if its a short trip around the side you can just barely get the hit off, but longer ones retain their strength

    I had an idea of making him a little more fun to play against- switch his reloading to before he shoots. Similar to the huntress, he needs to wind up his gun and then M1 to fire it (letting go of M2 lowers the gun). Maybe this was the original idea, guessing based on the number of add-ons that give you benefits for looking down the sights. I think he'd have to be buffed to be a 115% killer though.

    I think it'd be interesting to see in a PTB before it goes live. For survivors it gives a warning before the shot, something they can react to.

    Improve the hits with dedicated servers. Sometimes you clearly shoot next to the surivor on your screen and it counted as a hit, but before you shot like 3 times through the character model and nothing happened.

    Also some animations seem to interrupt the hit detection completely. I had it several times, that i shot the guy unhooking but the unhooked person behind him got hit. It also occured, when a survivor opened a chest and i shot right through him because he was in the animation when finishing the chest loot. This is just frustrating and not fun at all. Don't know if im the only one that has that happened several times or if its just a bug.

    Either give him 115% movement speed or remove the possibility of survivors breaking free.
