I love the iridescent head idea
I really hope they don't destroy Huntress. I barely play as her since I suck at aiming, but she's fine. It's just the Add-Ons that need a tweak. Though we said the same for Billy and look how that turned out!
got to love these who going to be nerfed next threads.
Huntress is a breaking point for me. They can do with her addons everything they want, but if they nerf her basekit i'm gonna invest my gaming time more wisely probably.
I accepted nurse, because there where several different opinion about her. I accepted Billy, although nobody really understand why he got a basekit change. But huntress...a change to her would kill dbd as my main game at least.
Lmfao, she is totally fine. There is no cooldown needed, it takes skill to hit hatchets and it also takes skill to dodge it. The better player wins.
Just because she was unchanged it doesn't mean she needs changes, the only thing that they should fix are the hitboxes as you mentioned and that's it.
I don't know.
I'd like to think that she'll be exempt from the nonsense that Billy and Nurse have suffered because she's quite liked as is by most of the BHVR crew and because the complaints people have about her are focused mainly on latency and Iridescent Head + Infantry Belt.
But if they seriously gave Hillbilly an add-on that boosted his movement speed by 0.2 meters per second only when a flashlight was aimed at him, and thought it was worthy of a Rare add-on anything is possible.
Not sure about a CD, but I can give her my mixtape.
I'm 99% sure that it's a coming change to her Iridescent Heads (Only pink addon) that is reviled by the community and even Huntress mains - especially it's interaction with the Purple Infantry Belt that gives 3 one-shotting hatchets without any downsides.
They'll probably significantly change this - make it so it has to be FULLY charged or have a minimum throw distance for it to be a one shot like 15m (Deathslinger's pink coin) AND just make it so the hatchets are completely set to 1 per reload so it can't work with capacity increases
Hopefully they try to reduce her map dependency if anything
It's still much weaker than Huntress' brown one. Her exhaustion add-ons were made when it used to recover while running, there is no more reason for them to exist.
I think Nurse only has high stats because her power negates a lot of the power survivors have. I still find it dumb as hell that people try to pallet loop me when Im nurse.
Nah. She's a well-balanced, high skill killer.
No one even complains about her. Well, almost no one. It's just her add-ons that make her oppressive.
Using demo as a comparison point doesn't really work given that demo is infamous for having underpowered add-ons outside of one that being rat liver.
Still, don't you think negating probably the most common type of survivor perk spending only 3k BP is too much?
Not really since unless its specifically Dead Hard most exhuastion perks can just be activated early and thus ignoring the addon.
Exhaustion addons almost exclusively counter Dead Hard which if your giving up one of your 2 addon slots to counter one specific perk then I think that's ok to have on a few killers(Not all but it makes playing against killers more diverse).
Mind you this is comming from someone whose main exhaustion perk is Dead Hard and I find these addons to be fine.
Btw BP price doesn't matter to game balance.
I still think these addons could use a little tweaking on numbers, like 5 seconds on the brown and 10 seconds on the green. These addons were made when exhaustion used to recover even while running.
Btw, Huntress is one of my mains, but some of her addons are too boosted, especially when she is one of the few killers that is strong as hell only with base kit
God I hope not. Basekit Huntress is one of the killers that no one complains about besides odd hits due to latency but every killer gets those. Huntress literally just needs an addon pass. Make it so that Iridescent Head doesn't interact with Infanty Belt and Leather Loop, give her the appropriate amount of addons, and tweak the numbers of a few of them and maybe change some status effects around. There, Huntress is fixed. That's literally all they have to do. If they mess this up I will be beyond amazed.
Basekit Huntress and reworked Billy is probably the pinnacle of balance for this game, not completely insane like Nurse, Freddy, or Spirit, but still able to hold their own against a team of good survivors, there is literally no reason to change her basekit.
Few players complained about base kit nurse and even fewer players complained about base kit Billy. Yet both had their base kits nerfed.
I don't recall either one being the case. There were definitely sizeable groups of people in both camps who were complaining about their base kits, especially Nurse (just like there were sizeable groups of people defending those characters' base kits).
Okay I can see some rank 20s complaining about base nurse, but Billy? Who complained about base Billy?
People were complaining about their add ons. 5X blink nurse was broken and even both sides agreed on that. NO ONE asked for a cd on her blinks yet they threw that in there. No one said billy was OP and they messed with him(although not much they still F'ed with perfection) Instead of nerfing the few strong killers they should be buffing all the rest to their level.
Personally I think unless you have a few hundred hours into the game your complaints about who is OP should be ignored. But that's just me.
She doesn't need one as she has a limited resource. Simple as that.
Yes, she can grab more hatchets out of lockers, but that's wasting her time to do so. The animation for that isn't exactly quick.
Me. I pointed out several times how pre-overheat Billy was outright too strong.
It's as Aven_Fallen pointed out. Highest mobility, instant down and zero downside. Things I have said since the beginning.
Nurse? Yeah, some add-ons were disgusting. But Billy was outright too strong for how little effort you had to put in. Slap on the old insta-saw and the survivors may as well have been running No Mither for all the good it did them!
Base kit Huntress is the image of perfection in balance and always has been, and while I agree that nerfing "strong" killers is less favourable than buffing weaker ones, I have always been 100% in favour of making Billy actually require work to do well and will also support any Spirit changes.
I read the title and thought we were going to get several tracks on a CD of just Huntress humming.
An advocate of place-able totems, a priming-pallet interaction, and the removal of Exposed from tier 1 Devour Hope.
Also supports changes to how many survivors need to be present to start repairs on a generator.

I agree Huntress doesn't "need" a cd but that hasn't stopped the devs before.
I was undecided when it came to Billy's strength level. I'm not very good at 360ing billys chainsaw. Unlike the majority, I admit I suck instead of screaming for nerfs. I just hated how billy could sprint to a wall, whip his chainsaw 90 degrees and hit me around a corner.
Nurse, if she didnt have multiple blinks, I never felt salty about losing to a good nurse. Cause she was my 2nd most use killer and I know you need to put in the time to be good with her. Your not going to pick up nurse and start getting 4ks against decent survivors.
People complained about inst-saw billy, yet instead of only touching the add ons, they gave Billy the Nurse treatment.
It doesn't matter if the killer is balanced, the devs will slap a cooldown for no reason. The Billy rework pretty much proved that.
I hope they don't nerf her much or at all. Can't speak for her strength on PC, but she already can be quite difficult to use on console. I don't mind too much if they do something like preventing Iri Head from being combined with Infantry Belt and Leather Loop, I rarely use Iri anyway, but if they touch her base stats I am done. Her current cooldown of 2 seconds between throws already feels too long to me, which is why I often use Oak Haft, if they lengthen the cooldown beyond 2 seconds I will be pissed.
No because she already has to reload her power, it wouldn’t make sense.
Doesn't make sense for nurse to have two separate cooldowns either.
