Think I found the best decisive strike nerf

After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 40/50/60 seconds.

While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, after wiggle free meter reaches 50%, succeed a Skill Check to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 5 seconds.The killer cannot hook you if you reach 50% until you succed or fail the Skill Check.

What does this mean?As a killer you have time to either hook a survivor faster or,drop him before the survivor wiggling reaches 50% to counter the decisive strike.This will also make a huge change in the meta,making iron grasp more valuable for killer and flip flop for survivor and honestly I would very much like to see that.

For survivor you will probably see something like ds,flip flop,unbreakable to recover from dying faster and convert for the flip flop or just to rescue yourself along with another perk like dead hard,sprint burst,iron will or something like that.Either way it will definetly be a meta change.

    Someone unhooks you, the killer comes, he hits you and puts you on the same hook. DS useless

    That would make it completely useless against tunneling killers.

    That's pretty much how old DS used to be except you'd have to avoid being the obsession by luck for the skill check to activate half way through the wiggle bar.

    While I think DS needs some nerfs (Mainly to do with how it can create "lose-lose" situations for the killer where a survivor has DS up, but is doing stuff like divebombing hooks or is working on a generator or totem and hides in a locker when the killer approaches) I think your solution is a bit overkill.

    It'd reduce almost all utility for actual anti-tunneling.

    I think the concept of it making Iron Grasp and Flip-Flop more useful is neat, though.

    Personally I think certain actions should instantly deactivate DS. Almost all of these actions are ones that would directly contribute to "Gamestate progression" such as touching a gen, touching a totem (Especially a lit one), healing someone (Being healed and self-healing is allowed), and starting an unhook. (I don't care what people say, if you follow me to the hook and literally hook-yeet the survivor before his scream animation can even finish, and I grab you with an interrupt, that's not really tunneling,)

    I agree,ds is just way too strong right now and it needs a nerf,I still dont understand why they changed the old ds at 45% wiggle progression.I dont think there is another change they could make for it to be balanced.
