Why do people hate Legion and Doctor?

Just asking, I don't have much troubles playing against them. Doctor is fun to play as. Legion meh it's just there I guess.

M1-Simulator. And they have built in detection.

For me, Doctor is annoying be caught by carter's spark when you seem to be a good distance from him, the disruptive skill checks and having to snap out of it is annoying aswell.

Legion is annoying for me personally as my primary way of escaping a chase is to sprint away and vault as much as I can in attempt to out run them, legion can just foil that tactic.

One asks for a nerve of the Spirit but one does not ask for a nerve of the Doctor.. look for the error!

People don't like being told "no", so there's your Doctor issue solved. Stealthy bois and gals scream and go down quickly, while loopers can't vault or drop a pallet, then get hit.

As for Legion, who knows. If they keep healing, or you as the Legion keep on using Feral Frenzy, then all you do is Mend all game until you either finally power through the generators or offer yourselves up as sacrificed for the Entity. And yes, I have had this happen. I was that Legion, with a farming build no less.

People don't ask for changes to these killers because they're dull but that's about it. They're annoying but not broken and have easy, reasonable counterplay to everything they do. Spirit breaks the game. You figure out the rest sweetie.

Legion is almost as boring as Freddy, especially with stacked slow downs.

I dont personally hate doctor, it's annoying to go against those that just spam their power while chasing showing that they have no idea how to time it and just want easy hits. Versing a good doctor is something really fun imho, even though it usually ends up in a loss.

I don't know either, they both seem fine to me.

Only way I can see people finding Legion annoying is if they don't know what they're doing and they just keep self caring after every FF...I mean jesus, that would be annoying. Please stop self caring and even healing for that matter after every FF unless you have a medkit or a healing perk that makes it faster.

Basically he's only hated by people that aren't playing smart. Just stay injured people, he's weak.

I don't like legion because he basically just ignores everything and hits you when in FF. Mindgamed him well on a jungle? Doesn't matter cause he's gonna injure you anyways.

Doctor ia ok, really depends on how good the player is.

It's more the Snap and Mending for me. More time spent holding M1 instead of doing something fun, like being chased. It's just dull, especially when they frenzy you then leave and you're like "aight cya man" and proceed to hold M1 for 12 seconds before returning to 80 seconds of M1. At least Snap has skillchecks; Mending is just holding a button.

This one is real simple. They make it far too easy for griefers to grief.

  • Tactless_NinjaTactless_Ninja Member Posts: 1,791

It's because they force you into an interaction. People are just fine never seeing the killer once. That doesn't happen with Doc or Legion. They will find you eventually.

Look at it this way. It's actually less time holding M1 because you aren't healing at all against him all game. You'll save more time not healing than you will have added time Mending. I don't even count skill checks seeing as they're so easy and insignificant they might as well not be there.

I don't mind the Doctor, I just don't like the type of Doctors that just spam their shocks.

Legion gameplay is basically free first hit and then you need to hold m1 for 12 seconds (or more), after that the Legion are just boring m1 Killers...

I don't have a problem with them. In fact I use the doctor quite often. The legion's skill is not the best but it isn't terrible.

  • CutiadduCutiaddu Member Posts: 387

I have another question, if legion is consired one of the weakest killer, why lots of people complain?

  • gibblywibblywoogibblywibblywoo Member Posts: 3,774

Legion is just insanely boring to play against wether the player is good or bad. I don't dislike Doctor myself. I play him a lot and while I'm primarily a stealthy survivor its pretty easy to stay out of range of his static blast if you're careful. Outside of that his power is really only strong and already unsafe loops/vaults. If you're smart you cna easily outperform his blast/stun.

  • APoipleTurtleAPoipleTurtle Member Posts: 1,200

A weak killer is not necessarily automatically fun by being "easier" to play against. If their power is boring or boring to deal with, then they will come off as a boring killer to a lot of players from both sides.

Just like how strong killers aren't inherently un-fun unless their power feels non-interactive or could be used in ways perceived as 'cheap'.

  • SweetTerrorSweetTerror Member Posts: 2,013

Doctor and Legion are the best Killers to farm bloodpoints with, otherwise I don't usually play with them. Both of them don't have good map pressure, and a well coordinated SWF will walk all over them.

Playing against them isn't that hard either. Both killers need the survivors to stay close for their power to be effective, and so long as players separate from one another, then the entire game becomes a 1v1 match, making it very difficult for the killer.

Because they don't know how to stop healing against him.

  • RakimSockemRakimSockem Member Posts: 1,254

Pretty much what everyone else said. They are by far the most ANNOYING killers to go against.

Oh look, the doctor found me because a phantom clone appeared and started at me.

Oh look, the Legion who would have otherwise never found me, just found me because my partner.

Now I have to hold m1 to mend/snap out of it. If I'm injured, I have to use my inner strength or play injured (which I'd rather not). Then I have to go back to the gen the killer probably killer 30 seconds ago and now it's regressed from 90% to like 30 and I hate it here pls kill me and get me out of this match

    Follow-follow !🤣

Doctor not smoke ? 3 seconds before jumping on an obstacle it's not smoky that...

    Not sweetie

  • GoodBoyKaruGoodBoyKaru Member Posts: 13,111

It depends how many times he Frenzy's you, and what perks you're using. For example if I've got Autodidact or We'll Make It, healing won't take me very long to do (bar the initial Autodidact parts) and whilst I admit skillchecks are braindead easy and boring (he says whist still managing to miss them) at least it's something to keep me paying attention.

Okay, I really really don't mean this in a nasty way, and I'm well aware English isn't your first language, but what the [BAD WORD] does this mean? Seriously, I don't see any parallel between Doctor not being made of smoke, or being smoky, and my original comment. I mean absolutely no offence but what the [BAD WORD] does this mean? I'm going to be losing sleep tonight trying to decipher this.

  • BlueberryBlueberry Member Posts: 8,948

Well if he's FF'ing you that many times it's probably costing him the game if y'all are properly spread out and yeah I mentioned the healing is fine if you've got healing perks. Which if you've got healing perks and you're spread he's really wasting a good bit of time.

Anyway I get your point, I guess it just seems like a non issue to me.

  • GoodBoyKaruGoodBoyKaru Member Posts: 13,111

Oh it's not that he's strong- he's definitely throwing by doing it like a Doctor is throwing if they just spam shocks at loops, but it's just annoying. Not strong, but annoying (at least to me). When the fun part of the game comes from interaction just holding M1 for a long ass time ain't doing it for me.

In fact to understand it is not enough to read, it is like the Spirit, you have to guess.. with imagination and comprehension, Without offense sir 😀

  • GoodBoyKaruGoodBoyKaru Member Posts: 13,111

Thing is, guessing in a game is kinda understandable but guessing what you mean when it makes absolutely zero grammatical sense is a completely different story; from what you said I could infer the Doctor isn't made from smoke and actually 3 seconds before vaulting a pallet or a window they turn from fog to solid objects- which again makes no sense.

It's up to you, who made the statement in the first place, to clarify what you meant, particularly when it makes no sense at all. No offence, seriously, but you made no sense at all in English. There's no other context outside of this thread to infer from- nothing- no way for me to make heads or tails or the Queen's royal behind of it at all.

So, again, please clarify what you meant.

  • Jill10230Jill10230 Member Posts: 475

I read your sentences, I know very little English and when I associate certain known words I understand what you mean (without using the translator) .. why not do the same, you speak better English than me..

The translator doesn't translate your sentences correctly, I imagine mine doesn't get through either.

In short, the Doctor is smoked (in French, the Doctor is OP), it is a French expression that Google does not translate into English.

I have nothing else to clarify, the Doctor is OP in loop, after a discharge you have to wait 3 seconds before jumping for you it's easy to counter .. i guess😗

  • GoodBoyKaruGoodBoyKaru Member Posts: 13,111

Okay, thank you. I have no knowledge of French idioms, having only studied German and English, so I couldn't translate that "smoked" meant "overpowered/OP". The clarifications makes this significantly easier though; thank you.

I couldn't associate words because, like I mentioned above, idioms don't translate (since they go word for word) and I don't know any French ones.

I disagree that the Doctor is OP- he needs to time his shocks really well and sometimes Dedicated Servers means their vault goes through anyway. Plus, he has no movement ability, so you can just rush gens across the map.
