Easy Builds for Baby Killers

Hi. My name is Unicorn and I'm a Baby Killer.
They say once you can admit it, that's the first step to recovery.
My current build that I am familiar and confident with running is STBFL, Remember Me, Bloodhound and Pop Goes The Weasel.
I suck at creativity just as much as I suck at Killer.
Any suggestions?
Help all us Baby Killers around the globe.
Thanks in advance <3

Well first thing is who is your main?
I want to say Huntress but on console, OOF.
I love her so much, but preferably on Console I enjoy playing with Freddy & Hag.
Don't be shy to toss a few tips in too! ^.^
Tips are always appreciated.
if you on console get thana, sloppy, pop, bbq.
Thana and Sloppy for slow heals
Pop for regressed gens after hooking
BBQ for spotting Survivors
Seems good!
My question is why does a baby killer have perks that are unlockables from four different killers in their build?
Because I purchased DLC Killers and leveled them up...?
Probably a survivor main who dumped bloodpoints into killers once they got all the perks on their favorite survivor.
Ok, still takes a little while to get that many Bloodpoints to get them all to level 40 but whatever, you're just not what I'd picture a brand new player to be I guess. 🤷♂️
Ok, I could buy that I guess.
With huntress those first three perks don't really synergize with her since she has an M2 attack that you should use more then M1. STBFL is good on Freddy and pretty good on Hag since it allows her to maybe get to that second sprung trap with quicker cool down. Don't really need bloodhound on Freddy since with Oblivious it isn't to hard to find survivors same with hag since your traps will find them. With remember me not really the best I'd put in say sloppy or corrupt for synergy with Pop instead. So with Freddy and Hag try Corrupt, PGTW, Sloppy, and, STBFl. Or for freddy put in BBQ for Sloppy. Sloppy works with hag since they either waste their time healing letting you reset traps or stay injured and unexpectedly run into your traps injured for a easy down. Huntress same Corrupt and PGTW, but Whispers, and BBQ. Try that. Don't play too aggressive with Hag and be fast to teleport. Freddy you can be aggressive or defensive. And huntress be aggressive.
Never said I was a brand new player, I said I was a Baby Killer meaning I have little to no experience and skill on Killer.
All my hours are mostly spent on Survivor .
I don't consider myself a good Killer, but I don't consider myself bad either. I am just average.
My crutch perk as Killer is Whispers. It lets me know survivors are around so I don't have to waste time looking in deserted areas. I really wish this would be made baseline for Killers.
You say you play Huntress, well Iron Maiden is decent for her. I can't play her since I am terrible with hatchets, but I am pretty sure that opening lockers faster will help you over all. It will also help discourage Survivors from hiding in lockers.
If you're good with your hatchets at long distances, BBQ+Chili would help you with blood points and tell you where Survivors are, possibly letting you get a hit off from across the maps.
As a baby killer, you are required to run NoEd. Gens go so fast these days, Survivors forget about totems about 9 out of 10 games. It may not give you a Kill, but its snowball potential is good.
Not a perk, but don't be afraid to camp if you have to. Once they're down to two gens left, if you have one on a hook, close to three gens, don't leave the area. You can protect the three gens while also securing a Kill. If they manage to rescue, you should be able to have them trade places.
Pop goes the weasel is good to consider as well. Try to always keep the three closes gens protected throughout the match. When they have one gen left, protect the three grouped up gens and regress them as much as possible. This strategy works really will with Trapper, Hag and Doctor, especially if you run Ruin and you get fortunate enough for the totem to spawn between the three.
One bit of advice I will give you is, don't fall for chasing someone who wants you to chase them. If they tbag, flashlight click, or vault spam over and over, they want your attention so they could loop you to kingdom come. Act like you're going to chase them and break off and aim for the weakest link. Maps are designed to give Survivors the advantage in a chase and decent Survivors can loop you for 5 gens.
Expect lots of salt. Many times, no matter how nice you play or if you do things out of desperation, you will get insulted. Heck, if you never tunnel or camp, and 3 hook everyone, you will still find someone that will insult you or tell you to ######### or some such. Ignore it, they're just angry teenagers who can't cope with life.
Exactly this.
Ahh, no wonder why my games suck besides the obvious fact of me being inexperienced.
Thank you for this! I'm actually writing this down. ^.^
I like how happy you seem. I hope playing Killer doesn't ruin you.
I could help more what were scenarios were you've made a mistake?
The problem with Whispers and me is the distance of where it spans. I suck at covering the area that Whispers is going off, and maybe its because I thoroughly don't understand how to track correctly yet. I usually throw on Bloodhound or the other Wraith perk that makes scratch significantly closer (if that is a Wraith perk, not sure haha).
Also, I've gotten the worst of the worst Salt already. Ever since my last salty message (a few months ago) I made everything private. Some people are just insanely unhappy & can say the most horrid things to someone over a game.
Dont trust nea is all i can say. :c
Ruin me? D;
Howww? You mean the experience?
The best advice in general is to watch good streamers play killer. Seeing what they do is much more effective than trying to translate someone's words.
Hag works best when she's camping, proxy camping, or preparing to camp (which is why I hate her). Depending on closeness of the survivor, it often makes more sense to set a trap in the middle of an area likely to get traffic than it does to chase the person you just hit, as bad as it often feels to leave a chase. Try to always have near the maximum amount of traps currently in play. Committing to a chase is often certain death for Hag. Make Your Choice, Monitor & Abuse, BBQ, potentially any Hexes, Franklin's Demise potentially, are all decent choices on her.
I have no particular tips for Freddy because I think he's too OPpressive and I hate him, but Pop is a good choice for him.
General tips: From what I've seen, most baby killers make three primary mistakes.
1: They don't try to hide their red stain on tall loops by briefly walking backwards or sideways. This helps secure faster downs. (I don't do this either much, but that's because I'd rather perform poorly than spend time walking backwards.) I also don't know how easy this is on console, but maybe worth trying?
2: Not breaking pallets around loops, especially at long loops. On short loops (length-wise, not height-wise), and especially on tall AND short loops, you can get away with this potentially, but on longer loops, most experienced survivors will know how to loop the feature well and waste a lot of your time.
3: Respecting pallets too often. Generally, it's better to eat a pallet than it is to get punished for not eating the pallet. Again, generally.
Bonus tip: Remember Me is generally considered a terrible perk, because it is. I'd basically never recommend it. Bloodhound is a great tracking perk, but you want to be/get good enough at tracking that you don't need mid-chase tracking perks.
Well for starters,
I can't track Survivors for the life of me. I lose chases so fast lol.
I had one game where I played Huntress. I believe I was running my build said above and I was against what I'm sure was a group.
So anyway, I sucked this game, like SUPER BAD lol.
I couldn't catch anyone, I was getting a little impatient with the looping so I'd try to switch up my running path to see if they would leave the loop and go somewhere. That was a fail. Then I finally caught a Meg (after 3 1/2 gens being done), hooked her, went to go look for other Survivors. I found a Feng, downed her, kicked the gen & hooked her. The meg got saved, and by that time the gates were powered. I don't know if Meg did it purposely or what, but she was the only Survivor I crossed paths with when the gates were powered, so I decided to go after her because she was hurt. When I picked her up, she DS'd me and everyone got out, with of course, teabags at the gate because that's the signature Survivor win taunt in game lol.
I felt so humiliated and defeated. I think that's the last time I ever played Killer.
But.. but.... I'm a Nea main :l
;x
I watch Tru3 and Monto.
Used to watch Marth but I stopped when he stopped playing.
Are those some streamers you'd recommend?
;x
Edit: and yes that is my exact goal. Get better at tracking so I don't have to depend on tracking perks.
Don't give up I've had my ups and downs form 5 gen 4ks to the 0ks with teabags at gates really painful coming from a DS Dwight. Just happens if you have problems keeping track of people try Shadow borne the perma 18 extra degrees fov is good with hatchet shots or seeing them sneak by a pile of stuff or seeing them behind something. Or Stridor maybe with that 25 percent louder breathing you realize they're heading away to another loop. Or I'm all ears to pull a mindgame on them not realizing you see them. Try one of those three.
I don't really have any strong streamer suggestions, I honestly don't remember how I got decent at killer other than just time and some "how to play killer well" videos, maybe. Otzdarva seems like a really good killer from what I've seen recently. Try watching him play killer a bit, and see what mental notes you can take. That'd be my suggestion.
Thank you both <3
play perkless and without addons everytime you try a new killer.
headphones, headphones, headphones!!!!! audio cues are extremely important for killers.
check your emotions at the door when you play killer. Emotions can lead to bad decisions.
The game isn't over until it's over. You will lose gens. Don't let losing gens result in panic decision making.
Uh.. uhm i gotta go!
Great tips!
I will try to keep these in mind when playing <3
Hey... hey! Come back here!!!
I got some questions for you!
