Should Spine Chill be nerfed?

So, I should start this by saying Spine Chill used to be my crutch perk. I couldn't play without is, because I used to be real bad at listening for a killer. Now I've moved away from it.

And I should say that I enjoy playing the Stealth Killers, which you know. Spine Chill destroys the poor Bing Bong Boi (as if he didn't already have enough going against him.) But I'm still not sure. If anything, I just feel it should have a cool-down, because as it is it's just a much better version of Premonition.

    Spine Chill should work similar to OoO, where both the Killer and Survivor should be looking at each other for it to activate.

    That way stealth Killers can approach from different angles and Survivors have to actively look out.

    I've tried to do that, but I guess I just suck at it. Again, it's not something I feel really needs to be nerfed, I just dislike how much it can destroy stealth killers. I'll practice my casual moonwalking, those surv's are about to get spooped by a backwards bing bong boi.

    Completely fair. I wish this game had more accessibility options, but sadly they'd be abused to hell.

    I would say the only Stealth Killers who really get countered by Spine Chill are Myers and Ghostface as they have to ya know... actively be looking at Survivors for their powers to do something.

    I'm fine with Spine Chill mostly, I just don't see why it still needs the skill check and action speed parts anymore.

    No clue. It feels like every time I try to do that trick, they're still just gone, so I've just kinda stopped doing it.

    No, it’s fine as is. Yes, it makes things a little tougher on stealth Killers, but you know what, that’s okay! Variety is a good thing and the game would be stale without it.

    As others have said, don’t look directly at the generators when you approach them.

    Spine Chill doesn’t tell you what direction the Killer is coming from. Many times I have tried to sneak away from the gen only to walk into Ghost Faces arms, putting me in an awkward situation that usually ends with me attempting to twerk for mercy only to find the Killers weapon deep inside me.

    Spine chill is okay but the one thing that bugs me is the huge radius is bigger that a standard TR so if there were going to be a change to SC just knock the radius down to 30-24 meters but other than that its okay.

    Feels really bad when I play Ghost Face.

    I've gotten a few gen grabs because I realize they have it and sidewalk up to a gen to avoid making it light up, so these players' reliance on it can be used against them. But the fact that it lights up when undetectable killers are looking at survivors whose power relies on looking at them makes playing them a much worse experience.

    And the person with spine chill still has eyes so if they see you sidewalking up to their gen they can just disappear and you'll have no idea where they went.

    No. It's a fair perk. It isn't hard to work around if you think a survivor is running it, either.

    Nah, it's not that hard to play around.

    If only BHVR would implement some of the visual cues from the mobile game.

    It doesn't always work anyways so no need to nerf. I've stared at a killer staring at me and it has not gone off, so yeah leave it as it is, or fix it so it actually works.

    When perks like object of obsession exist it's a joke to ask for a spine chill nerf, imagine nerfing the dollar general version of object....

    I mean it's basically Sprint Burst without the Burst, giving you more than enough time to run to your desired route and get to a pallet before the killer reaches you. I would say it was a little too strong if it weren't for Exhaustion perks/Small pp/DS

    I'd like to see it get a delay for activation AND deactivation, so that it doesn't activate if the Killer just glance over in the direction of the Survivor. They'd need to actively look at the Survivor for 3-5 seconds before it activates and then it'll stay active for 3-5 seconds after the Killer stops looking at them.

    There's too many unknowns to spinechill, if it's a stealth killer you don't know which direction they're coming from or if they just pass by and happen to hear your gen they could be on top of you before you get to leave the area, also if there are two levels to the map how do you know they're not chasing someone else in the lower or upper part from where you are? I guess that notification is gonna make half the people running it leave the area from the way people are talking here and in which case the gen isn't getting done and the killer isn't even concerned with them they're just paranoid because of the alert and start hiding from nothing

    Maybe reduce its range a little bit? It kind of activates from pretty far away.

    I use Spinechill even more than DS and BT. No matter what i run spinechill because it's honestly the STRONGEST perk in game. Ds, what if its a PH or just a slugger? BT? What about Freddy or killers that immediately run from the hook.

    With spinechill it kills Wraith and Ghostface and really hurts big aspects pig, myers, and Deathslinger. Spirit? HA. Hillbilly or Huntress going for long shots? Nope. Even with basic killers like Clown and Demo it's invaluable because you'll know exactly when and where they're coming for you.

    So honestly yeah it really should be nerfed....but i love it

    I feel like nerfing the interaction speed buff it gives (or simply removing it) would be a fair enough nerf to bring its power down a tad if that's needed. The interaction speed is just icing on the cake since the main purpose of the perk is the additional information it gives.
