Hit Validation Working as Intended [HUMOR]

I am the survivor in this clip--pulled the streamer's POV because my NVIDIA replay wasn't working that game :/

From my POV, killer was out of lunge range.

From Killer's POV, I was out of lunge range.

He bamboozled the window, so I felt pressured to drop pallet. ...but I also feel in these situations that dropping the pallet is the reason I was hit. From both our POVs I am not in range, yet the server still rules that I go down. I can only assume that the pallet drop animation snaps my player model back to a position that is closer to the killer, even if that animation doesn't translate in the killer's POV.

I'm sure the Dev's are aware these incidents still occur.

Post this mostly for those who find humor from DBD bugs.

    Currently Server Sided Hit registration is not switched on, it was previously in Beta testing only.

    That hit was in range. Dropping pallets locks the survivor in place, which is an easy target.

    Maybe dont make stupid spins infront of pallet next time, and drop it earlier.

    Also judging by how janky the animation was, you have a bad ping. Which you rightfully get punished for.

    I agree, pallets seem to lock your position when you drop them. I also feel like vaulting does the same until you are x meters clear. The other day i vaulted a window and dropped down to a stairwell on Haddonfield. Got hit as i was halfway down through the window.

    Are there any ETA if Server Hit Registration will come back? Same with the new Matchmaking system?

    Though for real. Anyone playing Killer finding that a lot of hits that used to go through, just are not anymore? Like it's harder to hit survivors pulling 360's now when you try to counter with flicking your mouse?

    Funny, i usually get same hits as a survivor but never as a killer.

    Soooooo are you guys not gonna admit that %90 of hits are like this through pallets?

    Are you guys gonna pretend that all killers don't abuse this knowledge?

    Are you guy REALLY gonna pretend that this is new?

    Yes, I get aimdressing hitting objects more and more. Also when a survivor is laggy, they can do micro teleports and cause aim dressing to make you miss hits in the open as well.

    But you see the developers to only fix survivor frustrations, while killer still get robbed off hits every game.

    My ping was 20-30ms. And even if it wasn't, survivors do not deserve to be punished for having poor ping. What kind of mentality is that? You don't choose the lobby you are placed in. The game might pair you in a distant server because your queue time was extremely long.

    Also bold of you to assert that I was trying to style on the killer based on a 4 second clip. I had looped him around shack, he bamboozled the window, so I ran backside of shack. This clip picks up immediately after I run past pallet as he moonwalks in from the other side (instead of following me all the way around backside). It was a nice play on the killers part, which caught me off guard, and forced me to drop pallet.

    The hit was not in range, and I would appreciate it if you don't make passive agressive assertions about survivors on the forum.

    Wasn't also it only used if killer has awful ping? Might be time to turn it back on again.....and make it server side 100% of the time. Killer should not be authoritative for anything.

    No it clearly was not in range. it didn't look like it at all. Your comment is also super negatively charged and making a lot of assumptions...
