You poor soul. Bond is one of my favorite survivor perks, and there was a game as killer I played where all four survivors had it. This was back during the tome. I was amazed, because I barely ever see that perk. Haven't seen it once since then.
I once had a 52 Bond as well. I was confused cuz my brain turned off and I thought Bond can also take only 1 Open Handed like Kindred. Then it felt much more than 44 metres and then I realized it stacks.
I feel like if open handed had aura reading in and of itself then it would probably be run more.
Like lets just say it let you see the auras of chests within 8 meters then applied its aura reading buff(4/6/8) to everything making its chest aura reading:
12(8+4)/14(8+6)/16(8+8) meters based off of the tier of the perk.
This would make it do something by itself and make it a bit of a trade off with plunderer's instinct as you choose a better chest aura + better items vs improving all other aura reading perks.

Nope. I got into just one match during that tome where one other survivor was running it, so I had 52m Bond. That was very nice.
could always use 128m empathy, or global kindred...

So 3 of them didn’t get direct benefit from Open Handed.

They’re not “always on” though. I like Bonds persistent nature.

I’m not criticising those perks.
I’m simply saying that i prefer Bond always being on.
bond's distance is its situation, which you want diluted in a way that would make the other perks pointless.
I’m not saying “buff Bond”
Bond is fine, even without Open Handed.
I just would like the fun and joy of maybe one day being lucky enough to experience for myself Bond having a 68m range.
If I didn't have to use 2 perk slots on insurance perks to make sure the killer doesn't camp/tunnel I probably would run it with my Kindred.
Maybe one day DS/BT will just be built in mechanics instead of perks and then I can have fun with weird builds.

Why dream? You can easily find a swf and try it instead of praying for a unicorn :p It'll never happen in solo queue.
If Open Handed did literally anything without requiring other perks, more people might try it.

Yeah, enhanced viewing capabilities of Empathy via maximum Open Handed would be pretty cool too, imo

That sounds insane with kindred Why don't swfs do this? That's tabs on the killer in a 48m radius around the hook
Yeah, Kindred is the only one that doesn’t stack. Anything else can stack up to an additional 32m if all 4 survivors use Open Handed.
Kindred is the only one that has a hard cap. It’s limited to a max killer aura reading range of 24m.
But you can extend everything else.
OoO can be a 104m range for example.
I mean every time I run into a 3-man group and I'm the lone Nancy, I get open handed by everyone on the team. "Hook her! She's not one of us!"

One time I was playing solo survivor and my other teammates were a 3-person squad.
Not only were they pretty good at the game, they all had Open Handed and Kindred/Bond, it was amazing that I had Bond that game too.

Sounds very cool. I’ve only had a max of 52 so far.
Bond is also still one of my favourite perks. Regularly seeing what your teammates are doing is valuable info that’s always useful.
