Full SWF Bully Squad (Streamers)

I do wonder how much of the toxic survivor gameplay gets more generated by many of the survivor mains that stream that focus on Toxic play. Every Night, there are multiple Streamers that play 6 to 8 hours with friends and just dunk on killer 95% of the night. It is a complete stomping of killer after killer and sometimes thousands of people watch and are greatly entertained as they 4 person escape game after game and bully the killer every game. then if a killer manages to kill 1 or 2 of them, they simply insult them in chat and call the killer toxic for (for breaking up a 5 hour toxic run)

I guess all I'm rambling about as long as people love to watch killers get crushed in streams and it generates thousands of views and people into the game, I don't expect this game to ever change.

Sure, some of the top streamers with 5,000 hours that play killer can crush Survivors all day for some sort of streamer balance, but its always brutal/basic games, and they manage to create huge crowds without having to be go down such toxic paths.

Damn; did I miss them? I LOVE catching Bully Squads. I'm up to six really good videos destroying such groups. It is what I live for. They think they are going to have some fun, but I demonstrate how things actually work.

I would LOVE to see proof of this. I'm waiting for vids.

People can play the game however they want. I watch survivors because I play survivor and I want to learn. I'm not watching because I want to see killers humiliated. I think you might be projecting your own feelings here. Maybe take a break from the game and these toxic streamers if it's such a problem.

Also, I see far more survivor streamers give free hooks and kills to killers than I ever see killers give free escapes to survivors they go against.

Assuming you mean actual "bullies" that go into the match with their primary objective being "lol lets make someone mad", for the same reason griefing videos and "lol I met this gamer kid and trolled them it's funny!" videos get views - many people do find it entertaining so there's a market for it.

Personally I find the use of the word bullying applied to in-match actions to be ridiculous as someone who was bullied a whole lot in my youth, and find it to be applied to people that are just playing in a way someone else dislikes a whole lot. But I also understand that's not an opinion everyone shares.

EDIT: And before someone says I'm defending toxicity or something, I do not approve of genuinely going out of your way to make others mad no matter who does it. But ultimately it's not against any rules on its own as it's impossible to positively identify intent from gameplay, so if they want to do it my opinion is probably irrelevant to them.

Sorry for the delay. Holiday has me backed up, but I'll edit out the info that "names and shames" and try to have one or two uploaded by Turkey day.

I do believe head on is a bully perk I hate it more the DS I had match one time 2 feng min dress a like didn't think much of it and was doing good till there was like 2 or 3 gens left when they start switching between each other with head on stuns when I was chasing them.

love it when people say it just them being better at the game but survivor and killers it like playing different games I sure a lot of survivor don't touch killer other then daily and tome challenges some I'm sure skip them it's not them being better at the game it them playing the easier role.

It is funny you should mention this. The video I'm going to put up has a Squad where all four have Head On, and they lured the Killer (my gal) to the Killer Shack where there were a bunch of lockers simply so they could start blasting her and then blinding her, etc.

yea sorry but I feel head on worst then ds sometime mosyly because they can keep on with the stun.

Survivors with Head on often kill themselves. 9 times of 10 they are safely hidden somewhere but jump out for an unnecessary stun. That perk often really helps the killer due to how those players play.

And this is where the problem starts. Telling the people who don't enjoy that bullying play style to "take a break"... will rid your player base of decent people. Pretty soon your entire player base is made up of toxic behaviors.

Maybe DBD needs to have a competitive mode and a casual mode. You have to earn your right to get to competitive... and you can't go back to casual.

"Bully squads" are just SWF players that are better than you.

  • There are killer players that do the same thing.

They try and garner viewers by being toxic, and doing everything they can to upset people on stream.

I had one earlier, all he does is literally face camp you after hooking, and if you are saved somehow, he will ignore all other players and tunnel and face camp you until you die, and then move to someone else. 1500+ hours and this is all that person does.

See, imo a survivor can play how they want, a killer can play how they want. If a killer wants to camp or tunnel, or a survivor wants to tbag to get the killer to chase them, or whatever- that's fine. I think that's okay.

What makes these people not good people, and toxic, is that they are doing it for pretty much no other reason other than making someone else's match or day miserable, purely for selfish and malicious reasons. That's what makes it toxic imo.

Honestly, I think that if you post a video of yourself bullying people on purpose you should get banned, whether you're survivor or killer. We don't need that in the game.

So you're saying ppl should play the game to hold m1? The funnest part about this game for both sides is teh interactions between killer and surivor. This is why so many survivors like the chase aspect of the game and being near a killer. It's no fun for both sides holding m1 and genrushing.

Look as annoyign as smurfing is for killers, often it's the one game where they don't 4k especially at low ranks, so often i'll say to them just take it and suck it up, sure it's annoying but if you're smart and strategic it'll be a huge learning point for getting better at the game. You don't get better by destroying bad teams, you get better by going against good teams. Matchmaking also plays a huge part in this as many red rank teams get matched with lower ranks quite frequently, so it's not their fault if the killer genuinely cannot catch them.

It's like those people that think toxic would have the same meaning as salty and the other way around.

With all due respect, no. This is a lot of hot air aimed at defending a practice which is cowardly. Smurfing and Bully Squads exist because some Players simply lack the spine to play in their own Ranks. They want to beat up on people they know they can curb-stomp. This isn't about making newer Players better. That isn't the purpose of a Bully Squad. They are trying to make the Killer DC. They are impotent, worthless garbage who couldn't take the heat in the Ranks (where they belong) so they are gaming the system so they can beat up on people still (by comparison) learning the game. Sometimes it is done just to produce comical content for Streamers. That is the long and the short of it.

You are effectively defending having 300lbs. Professional Football Players show up to play as Ringers in High School games at full speed. Don't try to spin this as something fun or noble. And lets not make a mistake here, we aren't talking about "accidental" matchmaking. We are talking about design and intent.

  • Bully squads and troll streamers do exist. I played against one the other day.

Someone who, camps, tunnels, etc as killer, and forms SWF with the best folks they can get for it, who don't try and win they make it their goal to make the killer DC first and foremost. These are people who are not just "playing how they want" they are doing things with intentional malice, as in deriving enjoyment SPECIFICALLY from ruining other people's game, or even day. That is what they want.

In my books THAT is toxic. A killer for example can camp or tunnel, because they don't know what else to do, because they feel stuck, because it seems like a good choice for them right then- and that is totally fine in my book. We're playing a game to have fun.

If however, your motivation when you go into any match, is not to have fun yourself, but to try and make things miserable for others- do us all a favour and just go play a single player game instead.

I mean....they're making content and try to have fun. I don't see something wrong with that. They wanted to have fun with their friends and streamed it. I don't think that being a streamer is the issue here.

    100% agreed.

If I have to choose between Head On using flashlight warriors, or efficient gen jockeys who play it safe... I’ll go for the flashlight warriors every time.

All of the techs they try and pull are just free and easy hits. You learn more and have a much better chance of success in these games, even if you’re a new player.

If we are talking about "desing and intent", then how is that any different from a decent killer dodging until they get a full console lobby or a bunch of baby-looking survivors?

Look I agree that its dumb when survivors go against lower rankers with a single minded intention of making the killer dc, but there are many higher level players out there who derank because of the amount of sweat lords at red ranks. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with that but there are more reasons as to why survivors smurf than to simply just "bully the killer".

Also I'm pretty sure almost anyone would rather vs a bunch of agressive survivors who may be a bit annoying and tedious as opposed ot a belndette swf with bnp's and who pop all the gens before you even find one.
