Correct me if I'm wrong, but they said that they disabled it due to some problems with the Oni.
They enabled it back after 1 day i think
Hits somehow look worse since hit validation was turned on. It's not my connection. I'm on a 1000 down/500 up fiber connection with consistent 40ms ping to the NA east server. Their netcode is a disaster.
The first was probably an unfortunate update tic.
The second, I mean everyone knows in the third movie Freddy has arms the length of a giraffe's neck.
Don’t worry, they’ll all rush in to pull the lag/ connection issues card on you
We know what’s really going on, and most of them feel those bogus hits are justified as they’re clicking their mouses and celebrating how good they are at downing survivors.
for what it’s worth, I never feel good about it either way
To my understanding it only matters if someone as high ping. If the survivor has for example 60ms and the killer has 75ms then that isnt a big enough of a ping difference to affect the hit. Cause of course someone will always have a higher or lower ping then someone by nature
@MandyTalk please explain since hit validation works :)
Do you see that there was no indication of his pinh being high no white or red circle. Also not to mention I have hella clips of bad hits and clips as killer of clearly bad hits I'm giving despite being on high ping (playing on a different server).
Thats what mandy told me it Is all a lie.
Doesn’t even matter what proof you provide, people will find any way to blame your connection as if Hit Validation is 100% accurate.
I had 450 Ping.
By their logic, I shouldn't have been getting these hits.
This was yesterday. Please, enjoy. Rank 3.
That killer shack drop man
so you have a 100% direct connection that is solely between you and your provider? I doubt that highly. that'd be VERY expensive indeed, you may have that kind of cash but I highly doubt that. cable internet (fiber AND copper) uses a TRUNK methodology that if there are fewer users on at any one time you get more of the bandwidth you have access to, when more people get on the internet that bandwidth shrinks and can cause lag and you may not even notice it. PLEASE learn how the internet actually works when you are trying to say that you have no lag spikes what so ever as that's an amazing thing. Dialup is slow as hell and affords you a relative direct connection to the isp, DSL is a bit faster but you have to be within a certain distance from the local substation if not can't get it and it's still dial up. if you have dish network you are using a weak dish antenna to broadcast through the atmosphere and if it's stormy you will get spikes, pixilation on tv etc. cable that is underground you end up finding is the fastest but you share it with your neighborhood's trunk line and that can cause all sorts of issues. none of the issues i mentioned here are easily detected, nor is it something you can affect what so ever without drastic measures.
Now I call bs, at 450 ping you wouldn't be able to even pull Hatchets
The video says it all.
And it was 450 Ping. You're telling me those hits were legit? I was the killer and I knew they weren't.
No stuttering at 450 ping? Lol what a laugh
The proof is there, look at the hits. It's all there.
Hit Validation does not exist. I provided proof, and the fact that you're not believing it is more of a "you" problem than mine.
As a killer main, every time this happens, I get mixed feelings. On one hand, getting a hit is always satisfying. On the other hand, I really don't feel I deserve that hit, and specially, the survivor that was doing its best to avoid it.
I have seen it with my own eyes yet it doesn't exist..interesting
You can clearly see the hits were all severely delayed. Same with the pallet stun. The killer froze every time they picked up, hooked and opened lockers. The only hits that were denied were the two Dead Hards with blood spatter, but I've seen that happen even way before hit validation was even announced.
I don't know if the killer ping was exactly 450, nor the method used to increase latency, nor if it affected more upload or download speeds, but it's clear that the killer was lagging severely.
I'll leave this here for the skeptics. This is Battleguy, one of the best Hillbillies NA, playing with his SWF. Notice that the VOD is already from when hit validation was re-enabled. You can see the survivors' pings at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/834867870?t=01h07m49s (you need to pause the video).
Notice the hits (or whatever that was) at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/834867870?t=01h07m02s and https://www.twitch.tv/videos/834867870?t=01h11m41s. You can hear the impromptu reactions of the other survivors on comms as they saw the massive delay on the latter.
Notice the extremely delayed stun at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/834867870?t=01h09m56s .
There's also the hooking jitters at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/834867870?t=01h06m45s but we can gloss over that.
Not once in the remainder of the video the killer goes through the weapon swiping animation without injuring a survivor (i.e. getting a hit invalidated). Meaning that when he missed, he actually missed on his own screen as well.
This was a killer who was evidently on high latency. In the end, believe what you want.
I live 30meters away from my provider control unit, 400km away from frankfurt server, the killers that usually get horrible hits live 4000+km away from frankfurt. But surely it's my fault with my own lagspikes even tho the fiber cable in my city is 8months old and all my home cables are 6 months old.
Sometimes those killers stream, they have over 100 ping, i always have 30 ping even when i connect to uk's server i never have more than 50. I don't even know why people still try to deny that when a killer has a cheap connection he's gonna get unfair hits.
Just don't get hit 4head
you can be one meter, you still go to a trunk line which carries everyone else to the substation if you are on a cable internet like. if you are on DSL you're still going much slower than what cable internet is, and if you are on dialup it doesn't matter this is the slowest transmission. latency can change once you're past your ISP going to your destination too. this is not a "DISTANCE" issue, the only time it is is if you can use DSL "Digital Subscriber Line" or not.
