Not sure if serious, in the last year I can probably count the number of times I didn't see DS on one hand.
DS is like BBQ and Ruin. It is all over the place. It's arguably more common than either of those two perks, mostly because there are 4x more survivors per match than killers.
LOL at being both rank 1 killer and survivor in 60 hours. It's not that hard to get to Rank 1 on each side, but takes time and doing so on both sides in just 60 hours is nonsense.
Come up with a better story everything coming out of your mouth is BS.
not as a killer, talking about survivor. usually it ends like guy gets tunneled out the game at 4 gens and it's basically unwinnable anymore if the killer is at least remotely decent
you can read my point upper in the topic. I'm just saying that forcing tunneling/being scared to save without ds cuz tunneling is not fun for anyone except the killer that sees no obsession
The original comment was "everyone". The Killer counts as everyone. I know this really really hard for Survivor mains to understand but the Killer is a player as well, and not just an AI bot.
It's super weird, when I'm a killer I swear half of the survivors use DS but when I play solo it honestly only gets used like once or twice out of every 30 or 40 games (I don't use it btw).
I don't see why it's so complained about, I play about equal killer and survivor, and I don't find that respecting it as killer is super hard. I dont' ever run it as a surv cause I'm either in god mode looping mindset and I don't need it anyway or I'm a steaming pile of trash and after I use it, I just get followed and downed again anyways.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I almost never run D strike because I rarely get to use it. I run away and heal etc unlike many players that force it by jumping in a locker or holding onto a gen or something silly like that. Even facing 4 strikes I almost never eat them unless I grab by accident instead of a smack or got stomped and it was a guaranteed exit gate escape situation.
The way the majority of people force it after their first hook practically promises the killer will tunnel you to death if they want because now they easily can.
Sure I get tunneled off hook once in awhile with an unsafe no BT unhooking but honestly I don’t know what killers people are facing because being tunneled to death is not as common as people make it sound. I’m in red ranks but I don’t know if that makes a difference and yes having an obsession in the match can make a killer consider DStrike and leave you slugged but if you’re not the type of player that forces DS with lockers or rushing the killer and other nonsense like that then I doubt you’re using it in most of your matches.
I never choose DS because when I had in the past I rarely got any use out of it, and when I did it never stopped the killer from tunneling me. To me its just a wasted perk slot that I could allocate to something that is less conditional.
DS / UB carry survivors to red rank, because bad survivors don't run them and low rank killers don't need to respect them.
If I play against survivors, I always respect DS unless the survivor is exceptionally potato. More often than not, I find they aren't running it.
Come the end of the match, I generally see green ranks never run DS. Purples are a mixed bag, but always meta perks. Red ranks always DS, UB, or both - never neither.
The perks literally will carry survivors up to those ranks because they destroy the ridiculous momentum most Killers can generate vs the majority of potato survivors.
I genuinely would love to know the statistic of DS being run and percentage of those games it actually being used. I swear if you're not trying to abuse it you barely use it as much as you would kindred, bond, inner strength and other good perks. Hence why I don't run it. That said, there are definitely times where you wish you or your teammate were running it.
I've tried using DS multiple times just because I constantly see people saying how powerful it is. Yet every time I've ever used it all that happens is I get camped and/or tunneled immediately afterward.
I just call it the game over perk because using it is an almost guarantee to make the killer focus on me exclusively until I'm dead.

no one gets tunneled cuz there is not obsession?
exactly this. this is why I started the discussion
How does that make the game more fun for me as a Killer?
Ah yes, that little-seen edge case perk, Decisive Strike.

Because you're being matched with rank 20s.
I have more than 1k now btw, not like bragging or anything

I'm not sure if using a perk in the game that is allowed should make you guilty

usually it's rank 1-3 players in my lobby, I rarely get someone with 10+
I feel the same. The only time I put on DS is if a killer tunneled me to death a few times. That doesn't happen often to me.
Same. I don't know what range the OP is playing in but I see DS literally every game.
The original comment was "everyone". The Killer counts as everyone. I know this really really hard for Survivor mains to understand but the Killer is a player as well, and not just an AI bot.
i don't disagree but some players feel guilty about what DS can potentially do.

I’ve seen DS in maybe 10% of my games today. Tops.
