BHVR close its eyes to Meta Perk of Survivor

Why BHVR seems like to close their eyes when All Perk / Meta that usually always used by survivor, but they not want to nerf it like DS,Unbreakable, Dead Hard.
But when Killer Perk that always use on red rank they rapidly nerf it : undying,Ruin

They don't nerf the survivor perks because BHVR is mostly survivor mains. Hex: Huntress Lullaby was nerfed over survivor entitlement that the devs had.
they should rename the game then becoming , SURVIVE TILL DAYLIGHT instead : DBD.
Is that why lullaby is getting a buff with undying essentially?
quit this nonsense whining
DS has actually been nerfed five times.
What buff to undying? No such thing exists. You mean nerf.
And it still gets abused.
"Buff" it's weaker than Haunted Grounds. That one gave you at least the exposed status when you cleansed it. Just take Thrill of the hunt, if you want to protect a totem. Much more efficient than Undying.
lullaby is not changing what so ever, not being buffed from it's nerfed form where it doesn't affect all skill checks as it said it did before. in fact if you think that lullaby is being buffed by another perk being nerfed that's fine then lullaby's nerf buffed DS, healing, madness escapes and perhaps even several other skill checks that would have been affected by it so that's a huge NERF to a minor buff. the "buff" from undying is nothing more than undying's change and though it affects lullaby, you can not say that lullaby is getting a buff at all since it is not changing.
Fun fact: killers could dribble survivors to the hook, in order to prevent DS. Devs then reduced the max amount of times a survivor could be dropped before wiggling free. Some time later, killers couldn't drop survivors anymore to avoid DS.
Killers also used Enduring to reduce the stun effect of DS. Devs first increased the stun time to compensate and later removed the DS reduction effect from Enduring.
Oh and the reduced time a survivor could be dropped + the Enduring nerf both stayed when DS became the unavoidable thing we have now.
Imagine Undying was "nerfed" like this.
Reading comprehension not a strong suit of yours huh?
Or Huntress Lullaby was nerfed because Docs Skill Checks were the only thing affected by it aside from Healing and Reparing - no Jigsaw Boxes, no Cages, etc.
And not everyone is experienced in the game, if some Survivors who are quite new to the game go against a Doc, it is a huge difference between getting hard Skill Checks on Gens and Healing and getting hard Skill Checks during snapping out. The first is messing up the Objective, the second is, not getting to play.
OR you can just feed the narrative of "Devs are survivor-sided", if you dont want to follow logic.
And its still the strongest perk in the game
The devs consistently mention not wanting survivors to feel oppressed by the killer, hence killers which are picked for there ability to deal with swf or the supposed 1% more effectively got toned down.
In this instance they are survivor sided because what Doctor at the lower ranks is using Huntress Lullaby. I can guarantee not enough for it to be even close to a problem. I didn't even think of putting Huntress Lullaby on Doc until like Rank 7.
You understand that there will always be a strongest perk right? If you whine enough to nerf one you’ll just find another to whine about. This goes for killers and survivors.
A changing meta does sound nice...
Dead Hard lol, you'll fool a good killer with Dead Hard once after that he aint falling for it again.
Unbreakable, you can run it but never use it meaning you're running 3 perks. Swf perk.
DS, yip i agree a total bulls**t perk. Good survivors dont need it. Im a solo main and dont see it used alot, i'd say its mostly used by swf squads.
Most of these "meta" perks are strong swf perks and being honest i rarely see them used in solos except maybe Dead Hard.
It's because the average kill rate for killers is over 50%. There are some killers that even go up to 70 - 75%. I know somebody is going to respond with something like "statistics aren't everything!!!!" but if the game is unbalanced in the average match (which it is) as a developer you want to have your game stats balanced in general.
Most matches aren't a sweaty SWF and that's clear by the kill rates, that's why they've been tuning killer perks (even though they're always buffing weaker killers).
Can't wait for the next nerf to Legion,
"Oh no he can use this perk that makes Deep Wounds somewhat dangerous! Guess we'll have to remove his Frenzy!"
-- Someone at BHVR
The problem with the kill rate statistic is that the devs never break it down. It's just 'Freddy has over 70% kill rate.' A lot goes into that kill rate, though. For instance, how many killers does Freddy get in brown ranks, vs red? What's the average skill of both sides? How many farmed, or died on first hook, or were afk, or memed? A lot goes into it, that the devs don't share, or don't know. Or care.
But this is par the course for the devs. They balance around the low end, so of course any stats they give are just a broad stroke. To get any real insight, you'd need to see the nitty gritty.
They do break it down by rank, in red ranks the kill rate actually goes up lol. But hopefully the new MMR system will fix a lot of these problems that people are having.
The stats say a day 1 survivor with zero knowledge has just as much worth as a survivor with 5000 hours. AKA the game will always be unfair and killer changes only happen when survivor q times get to long.
When, and where, did they show rank? Before or after it was busted? Last year, with god loops, or after?
This is from October of 2020 and is the latest we have. It shows it by all ranks and by red ranks.
I totally fine with perks being strong, but when a perk punishes you for playing well and could lead to a lose just beacuse of it.....thats when i start to "whine"
I think the reason is : the survivor community is bigger in numbers and voices than the killer one.
So if a perk or a combo is too strong on killer there will be more negative feedback heard in % than if a perk/combo is good on survivor
Good survivors don't need ds huh? I've heard this before and it makes no sense to me. So say I'm solo queue, not running ds and neither is anyone else so there's no obsession, or maybe there is an obsession but at any rate I don't have ds. I get hook farmed and the killer downs me before I can ever move and rehooks me, not even enough time to run so I could dead hard. I get farmed again by the same idiot survivor and the killer does it again. I was just totally removed from the game without any chance to do anything besides my first chase. Ds is there to give survivors a lifeline to not be stupidly removed from the match. Without it most killers would be the douchiest.
Ah yes what utility from 2 Perks!
I after 5 hooks get survs to have no sound for SKILLCHECKS, WOWIE!
In no way will my totems ever get broken before 5 hooks!!!!
It's noit like killer that use r+u consistently get there totems broken at 0-3 hooks!
Ah yes, A man of culture,
let's start a petition - my friend:
Huntress' lullaby now needs 12 hooks to be active - is not protected by undying - and will spawn right infront of survivors are the start of the trial.
Sounds like balance to me!!!
Played this game for 4 years as a solo survivor main and i've never needed ds. Each to there own i guess.
It is actually more powerful than it was before.
