Questionable Nightmare changes

So I just played a few games as the Nightmare and came to a conclusion, that his power is actually hurts him now.

Lets look at the stats. Basic time to put 1 snare and get your 4.6 speed back is around 2-2.5 seconds. While you're putting a snare, your speed decreases from 4.6(115%) m.s to 4.0(100%)m.s. While survivor stepping on the snare slows only for 2 seconds, and only for 5%(100%>95%).

So does his power really works for him now? You can just run away while he is placing them and get a good ammount of distance. Some of the pallets where he was really good at chasing, now survivor can just run through the snares and you never gonna catch them, because you're not gaining any distance.

And don't need to tell me, that you need to use them strategically, putting them at the places where survivor could run. There is no point in doing that, I can just play Trapper and do this thing better.

    This + Trapper & Hag can see trap auras. So they can force survivors go to traps. But Freddy can not see snare auras, so snares can use in chase but like you said you're not gaining any distance with this way.

    I do not wanna talk about add-ons changes because Freddy has really bad add-on changes now.

    I am sure, Freddy nerfed by who never played as Freddy

    People would complain so much about Freddy in general that they nerfed EVERYTHING even things that didn't need nerfed.

    An adjustment to his slowdown addons would have been enough.

    I personally didn't notice much a difference but I also place snares while I'm standing in the pallet so I don't actually have to move until I chase the survivor around making the slowdown not very impactful. I agree that his addons are a bit lackluster now but nobody enjoyed the fact that a killer who could teleport to gens at will had slowdown in his base kit often times paired with tinkerer/pop/ruin. I definitely would like to see his addons made to be more useful than just stridor but personally I don't notice much of a slowdown with him.

    spamming snares at a loop was a really cheap tactic. his snares are still good anyway, you can place them at lets say the shack which means you will get notified when a survivor steps in them

    Honestly as sad as it makes me to say it, I'm happy they nerfed him. He already wasn't OP, he was just easy to play and oppressive, but he could be beaten fairly easily. Now he can be beaten even easier, and I hope this means they will finally rework him or give him something else that makes him feel more unique like he used to be. I can understand seeing him as annoying but just nerfing his currrent kit instead of giving him actual help isn't what was needed.
