Thank you scott! The grind is ridiculous…

The grind is unrealistic and ridiculous.
i started playing 2 years ago, i got 1250 hrs in the game.
Got spirit P3, trapper and wraith P1 and Meg P1…. I have all but Trickster and 3 survivors unlocked all and all to lvl 50.
I main about 6 survivors and try and mix around the killers i play.
I dont have more then half the Tier 3 perks unlocked for any of them. Its crazy to have that many hours and still having to grind so hard is dumb.
If i main’d 4 or 5 killers maybe id have the perk list completed but i like the variety.

Okay, I'm confused here. You're upset because you don't have all the perks for every one of the considerable amount of characters you use in the two years you've played? When new perks and characters are still coming out that you're leveling and you've prestiged at least one 3 times AKA reset them all and all they had?
Aaand you're somehow upset that this means you don't have everything?
hope people will care now that a streamer made the same point

I disagree with Scott here. Love his videos. Am subscribed. Less grind is an available option for all players.
You should never have almost 1500 hrs in a game and not even be half way done leveling up characters lol
4-5k hrs to have everyone with all tier 3 is crazy.
And also the fact that there are 10 new characters released every year aka 30 new perks, makes the grind harder and harder for newer players or people that dont have 10+ hours a week to dedicate to dbd.
Removing perk tiers is good enough for the next ~2 years.
Adding more rewards to prestige is not good, because then prestige is going to be important, and then it increases the grind.
Awarding a lot of bloodpoints works only if new characters are periodically released and players buy them. Otherwise it leads to add-on imbalance: everyone will be able to afford to use the best add-ons all the time.
I still believe that my suggestion is the best grind and balance wise:
Choosing not to do the grind doesn't mean there is less of a grind. I generally dislike Scott and find the streamer worship around here to be ridiculous, but in this instance he is right.
I know. I shared my opinion that the game feels worse because the default survivor strategy is just hold w and pre-throw pallets. Because against the newer killers, you kind of just die if you dont. Now that OhTofu has said it, I wonder if I'm 'parroting' even though what I'm saying takes no intimate knowledge or research. You just play the game for while.
Dont get me wrong, running in a circle and having to just eat pallet after pallet is just as boring but with these new powers that hit over pallets/windows, I dont envy the position the map/balance team is in.
New players don't have every single character and new set of perks. The grind will only be hard if they are a completionist like you and want every single perk regardless of whether they'll use it or not.
And at that point, it's a self imposed grind. I play sparingly and still have every perk I want to use on a P3 Felix You may as well complain about cosmetics being a grind to get at that point.
I have a total of 4200 hours combined and still don't.
As far as Prestiging:
P3 level 50 on killers permanently doubles bloodpoints with that killer (like bbq).
Survivors same but your survivor now becomes a skin for Legion as well :)
I agree. Killers can rank up so fast and it takes survivor forever.
I've got 5100hrs and before this chapter released I had all killers maxed out and all but 4 survivors maxed out WITHOUT prestiging anyone. I hardly play any other games. It's insane how grindy the game is.
Are you taking advantages of archives, offerings and perks that give bonus BP?
If you play Legion and run a farming build with a streamers offering, you can get over 60k per game, possibly 90k.
Why thank Scott? The people on the forums have been making multiple posts a day complaining about the grind for ages, a lot longer than that video.
I agree the grind is ridiculous now though and only getting worse with each new dlc with nothing being done to rectify this. Something needs to be done now bhvr.
DBD is the only game I know that punishes your grinding and purchasing DLC with more grinding. It's honestly ridiculous.
And with this chapter, all I've wanted is to get Bond on Jill but it hasn't been showing up so I had to grind out nearly 6 full pages of purple perks to get it to appear. I had to spend like 2 million blood points on Nemesis to get BBQ tier 1 to appear. This is insane. I'm really not sure how many more chapter releases I can put up with this.
realistically you only need to level up a single survivor for all the perks because they're all the same
however different killers all need different perks/builds if you want to play them
Quite literally every MMO in the world gives you more grind to do when you buy a DLC.
And what is that option?
Grind is optional no one has to prestige. Not sure how thats all you have though. Been playing a little over a year and all my killers are P3 except 4 newest. Twins P2 rest P1 including nemesis. Have all survivors leveled to 40 with Nancy P3, Zarina P2, and about 5 P1. I also feel a gm without bbq/wglf is a waste of a game so that helps. Were people screw up is doing a bunch of levels of 50 then deciding to prestige. No point in investing past 50 if you prestiging.
I always use BBQAC on all killers and if there's a double BP offering, I use it. Same with survivor, except I don't always run WGLF. I do have quite a few killers I do not play enough of to use all of their double BP offerings. Like Pyramid Head has 90+ 4th year anniversary cake offerings. But I don't feel like playing him and won't just play him in order to use more double BP offerings.
Also yeah I've completed basically every archive. I did lose all my progress at 2600hrs and had 156 million refunded to me. Always thought that was not enough and perhaps I was right.
Imagine defending the grind because "if you want all the perks you are a completionist".
This can't be real.
Hell, I don't want every single perk and only aim for specific ones on my new account (created to play with my fiance) and its still a pain to get the ones I want while also making sure I have something on my main.
Yeah and space coconut just put out a vid about the grind like a week ago
I don’t need no “influencer” to tell me that the grind is already ridiculous. That’s just common sense
The grind being 'optional' does not excuse how excessive it is. Not sure why people bring up this pointless argument, acting as if it solves things.
Hey! We don't need to buff Trapper! Playing him is optional.
The grind is not optional, I tested p3ing a character myself and the amount of time to get to P3 wasn't even close to the amount of time to get all perks.
Its annoying that many around here ignore things until some streamer brings it up. Personally, I dislike both Scott and Coconut.
Many of us have been complaining about the grind for years but they both have a way about them that gives off the airs that they are the first one to really try and do something about it.
Imagine complaining because it takes time to get every available thing in the game to max. Hilarious.
Imagine complaining about people complaining because you don't personally have a problem with what they have a problem with.
