I think i know the reason why the devs disabled the halloween addon for killers from last year.

Imagine you still have this addon months later and use it in some matches.
BHVR would need to deal with tons of ,,false" reports because everyone who wasnt around the even last year would think the killer is hacking.
Would be kinda funny tho.

The addon of granting speed to the survivors was too op compared to the killers, thank goodness they disabled it.

The addon gave you a blight rush for every killer.
Always when you hooked someone you got a token. It was hella fun.
I really don't think that's the reason. They still allow the firecrackers and new players don't report people for using event items they weren't around for.
I think firecrackers is a bit different than a myers using a blight rush.
But you would read the addon description... plus they was awful lol
Tons of people dont even bother reading perk or addon descriptions.
I mean it's barely a blight rush at all and there's a blight pustula animation with it, even if people did report them they typically don't care that much about reports. Survivors are also still able to use the Halloween medkit add-on so if that was the case then they would also ban those because new killers would report survivors for moving too fast.

Too many times I have been called hacker for taking someone from a locker because I saw him with BBQ, it seems that they don't know how BBQ works.
survivors tryes to ban killers for ANYTHING
i discuss with my own premades because they reported killers for the most stupidiest things
accusing from teleports when im seeing the killer walking normally in my screen
accusing from explots when a killer bodyblock a pallet/window before the survivor can use it
accusing from speedhack when a killer refuses to use it's power to get bloodlust
accusing from wallhack when the killer found them with any sound clue (crowns, blood, grass, grunts, lockers, steps, chest)
or simply making a false hack report because they are mad
When i played Hunt Showdown i used to play alot with a random guy i met in random queue and when he died he always screamed that the other players were hacking or the game was laggy and his shots didnt connect etc.
But i always watched his screen and it always were wrong accusations because he were mad because he wasnt good enough. Thats so annoying.
Same when i used to play DBD with randoms from Discord because i was tired of solo queue.
Most of them kept accusint the killer for hacks or whatever or called him a camper while he chased me on the other side of the map.
After a while i went back to solo queue and i dont miss SWF. (Atleast not with randoms like this)
People report you for everything, so I don't think that's the reason.
Imo, it's dumb they disabled the add-on. Why get many on killers when you can't even use them. Waste of 3k points...
Every time I read that addon, my mind goes to a single thought of Michael Myers just power walking right into a Boulder
both addons were garbage, and with the blight rush addon that just made using ur power a pain
I had a group of survivors accuse me of hacking for using PH's power to Mori tormented survivors on death hook.
if you used them correctly, they were extremly good on some killers like clown and myers.
yeah but werent you required to use the rush before you could throw ur bottles? now that you talk about myers, im glad it was taken away
It was used for map traversal after you hooked someone or you use it in the to fastly close distance if you spot someone after you hooked someone.
either way im fine with it bein taken out, it was better than the survivor one, but not by much .
