The Unwritten Rule of Survivor

First of all: I Main Survivor but I have both rank 1 killer and survivor. Even as a survivor I feel that the unwritten is stupid as hell.

Survivor towards killer:

  • Killer shouldn't have NOED or they are consider scrub
  • Killer has their add-on that can easily get in blood web will be consider a scrub
  • Killer camps also a scrub
  • If tbag a killer, they better not be salty after a game or camp, because survivors are entitle.

Even as a survivor, I don't see any problems of killer do what they do, its not like they are breaking any rules, it is all within the game mechanics, cut the killers some slack.

Yes, tunnel and camp sucks but they have full rights!

What do you guys think?

@MyNamePete Camping can be used in certain situations, such as to gain stalk as Micheal. Face camping is acceptable but only if exit gates are open and Noed isn't present.

I do not follow rules made up by survivors. Do not get caught.

I tend to look at things like camping, tunneling and other 'unfun' tactics as part of my toolbag but not necessarily the tools I bring out often. They're there when they're called for but usually there isn't a need for it. Maybe its just because I'm rank 15 killer at the moment, but I've never used them much. Basically never camp, and never facecamp

I play for win not to for enjoy survs. But if you tbag me you got camp.

I don't really mind when a killer has noed; it only bothers me because 75% of killers that have noed usually play lazy or like crap and only "significantly improve" when the gates are powered. When a killer doesn't have ruin and they're playing like crap I start looking for totems.

If they're tunneling a survivor when others are clearly running in front of them to take a hit; I start looking for totems. Noed should be a fall back, not the first defense.

Now if the killer is crapping on my team and applying pressure I won't have time to look for totems.

If survivors complain about what killers do maybe they should realize that some survivors play like jerks. Everything is a choice in this game. I can choose to run DS or not, I can choose to loop around the same pallet for 5 years or not. Just like the killer can choose to run noed, camp, tunnel or mori everyone off of hook.

Just realize that if you choose to have a 5 blink nurse with a mori and you use your 5 blinks to get across the map, survivors are going to DC when you down them or die on hook. You have 5 blinks, you're obviously going to mori off of hook; 5 blinks isn't fun and if you need 5 blinks to down someone then perhaps you should try practicing more because 5 blinks is wasting time if it takes 10 to 20 to down someone without ruin.

These kinds of unwritten rules need to die on both sides. Do whatever you want and what helps you win as long as it's not bannable.

So just be a total canoe and don't get upset if the killer you're against camps you or if the other 3 survivors get out because you were camping someone.

"If they're tunneling a survivor when others are clearly running in front of them to take a hit; I start looking for totems. Noed should be a fall back, not the first defense."

You see i never got the whole tunnelling is bad thing.

If im chasing someone and someone walks in front of me and i take a swing they both run away injured whilst i give my blade a good wiping.

If i ignore the blocker they are not running Gens and i get my target down afterwards anyway. Meaning the survivor trying to run block is just wasting time and helping the killer win.

Yes it's not fun for the survivor but the killer is just that a killer, if it's not bannable i don't see a problem with it.

Same with facecamping, yes it's not fun and it's not optimal either but if the killer wants to go that he can do that it's not against any rules.

This whole "Codex" nonsense is just that nonsense.

Same with hookblocking it's lame, no skill as hell and no fun to play against but it's not breaking any rules.

Don't wanna get camped/tunnelled don't get caught, there are so many perks to prevent losing a chase and even a perk that helps you once you have.

Not to mention the devs once again buffed survivors by making graphics changes, locker changes etc.

Yup. That's how the game works.

If a killer camps me i just bust out a cold one and relish the sweet salty killer tears. Second most enjoyable feeling next to salty survivours post game chat.

When they start dropping Obscenities and calling you crap like camper tunneler stew in it enjoy it and instead of dropping entitled survivour drop a gg  :) they/them will be fuming for the rest of the night.

Or alternatively leave lobby. The only time I'll go easy on ya is if theres only 2 or 3 players in game in which case im a lot more forgiving and will give one player hatch. Other then that make smart saves and dont expect me to relinquish hook pressure too easily.

    The Unwritten Rule Of Killer
    Killers towards survivors:

    • Survivors with flashlights are #########.
    • Survivors who teabags are reportable
    • Survivors who loop using the only 5 pallets that are in this game is considered cancer
    • The Survivors that can 360 is using an exploit (lmao)
    • SWF is rated as cheating

Don't hit me with sum gay ######### dude xD both sides got negatives. Just that I haven't seen any positive in the patch notes for survivors, only nerfs. I wish we rewinded to 1.8 and started taking care of the actual problems :). (1.8 is the latest update that didn't have extraordinary aim assist lmao) Now you can just flick in a 180. No-skill af!

Once I was playing as Billy, hooked the second to last survivor, turn around and see a pizza Dwight hide behind a wall, I act as if nothing happened, walked a few meters away, turned back quickly and I see the idiot running to save his friend. Killed them all. At the end of the match the second to last calls me a camper, I just replied like this: I saw the Dwight, I got the pizza

Some things are just a coincidence :) but you got all 4 so what are you so whiny about? It's still free speech. If you didn't camp then you didn't if you are sure you didn't distance camp you know yourself you didn't. Thats in this case enough.

As Killer I always type gg at end game match, wether i did well or not. When survivors get salty at me for killing them at whatever cost (mori, tunnel, camp, i don't care) I always follow with this: "gg = git gud".

My philosophy on unwritten rules for both sides:

I as a killer am not responsible for the fun of survivors.

I as a survivor am not responsible for the fun of the killer.

This is a 4v1 PVP game. My goal is to win (whether that be to hook or survive) and I will do so however I can within the confines of the rules of the game. If I must camp, tunnel, DS, flashlight, loop, or taunt, I will do so.

Neither is a 4 man SWF with that guy with hook blockers and a torch but here we are.

End of the day most killers don't find it fun to camp either but against some of these bully teams that is the only strategy to mitigate de-pips

Yep, so much this.  I'll always proxy and patrol a fresh Hook and then fan out...but when Gen rushing happens...you force our hands.

Had a game as Leatherface, three of the Survivors brought Bloody Party Streamers, so,it was obviously a 3 or 4 man SWF.  I made one attempt to communicate for us to farm, downed a guy and took him to an open Gen for all to see, let him wiggle off and he proceeded to run.

Ended the chase shortly and Poor 3 gens done, they got an unhook as I went to look for others, downed the rescuer and hooked em *pop* gen done. By the time I went to smack a gen and get another down, final gen done and the person unhooked...found someone and downed em and had to camp to get one kill....ended up with a 3k as they were overtly altruistic and kept bouncing between downs and hooks.

So yeah, essentially in two and a half chases and two hooks with an attempt to not camp, all the gens were finished.  Sure some killers facecamp from the get go, but Id wager a fair bitnof us are forced to with how the fast Survivors can be

If I finally catch a toxic survivor (clicky clicky DS etc), then its time to enjoy a cold beer while relaxing under the hook, watching him waving his arms in panic mode

    Killer towards survivor:

    • Survivor shouldn't have DS or they are considered a scrub
    • Survivor has instaheal that can easily get in blood web will be considered a scrub
    • Survivor "genrushing" also a scrub

Somebody give this guy a cookie, he gets it.

    No quarter asked, none given.

The real scrubs are the ones who live by the unwritten rules then get mad when the next doesn't follow them.
