Self care is a good perk

Yeah you read the title correctly. Self care is in my eyes a good perk because of multiple reasons.

Finding a survivor vs healing yourself:

A killer hit you and is not chasing you. You could potentially search a teammate who is healing yourself but when this takes longer then 16 seconds you lose more time then when you just selfcare yourself right away.

Unhook and run away:

We all know these people... They get unhookedor unhook and the first thing they do is run to the other side of the map to heal and get healed. So I use just self care and give a [Bad word] about the survio. When he comes back okay good I stop whit the selfcare.

Different item then just medkit:

Yeah medkits are strong items but I find it cool to have a flashlight, key or map andthe ability to heal myself at the same time.

Combined with other perks:

Resilience: You can heal yourself to 99% and get the speedboost for doing gens.

Botany Knowledge:

You heal other people 33% faster and yourself. Making the 50% heal a 83% heal.

    You can say whatever you want, if a Self-Care survivor is the last one to go down, they are not being saved by me or anyone else I know.

    Go waste someone's time in another life.

    Self care can be a lot of help at endgame I can tell I saved team because of it because I had opportunity to heal and save them if I was injured I would just trade hooks with no point so self care in certain situations is alright but I don't run it often unless I'm already fed up with solo teams

    you know, healed by other takes the same time,(16seconds, 16seconds) so in bond case, that's not alternative option. just same.

    so if SC is wasting time, so do healing others is also wasting time.

    trying to find a survivor is shouldn't be gameplay stay injured do your gen you'll find them eventually can any of u say that ı don't see my teammates in game until EGC? I ve neer seen someone unhooks and runs away for no reason it is either is killer there or that person has a gen about to pop you don't wanna play with medkit then run inner strenght instead you are already wasting a perk slot for SC swap those two you can do same 99 heal with mdkit even it is more safe cuz SC is priority in game mechanics you might put yourself in a position that you don't want to SC is fine when combined with some other ehaling perks but itself it is a nightmare for your teammates 32secs only for one persons heal state is so much it is almost a half gen

    Whats with the SC defense suddenly? It's mostly a very bad perk that hurts teammates and in the long run even yourself. Inner Strength or medkit, that is for healing. Better also to bring Iron Will and do gens when injured rather than SC.

    I mean, okay, yeah. In somee situations, SC is decent. But bringing a medkit is stronger and doesn't waste a perk slot.

    The reason so many insist it's bad is because so many Survivors insist on healing themselves with perks like Sloppy, most often while the team is dying. I feel like everyone forgets about sloppy when talking about SC.

    I run empathy at times. And I often see that survivors will literally go across the map and self-heal in the corner. It's a good perk, but the way a lot of people use it hurts it's reputation.

    ı feel like you are just using selfcare and wanna make people belive it is ok you can use whatever you want but your using it doesn't gonna make perk good just admit it and say ı get hits a lot and ı'm scared to play injured my being alive is the important cuz you wanan play the game no hard feeling buddy but that's most likely the case you cannot see any good known survivor using that cuz they know it is bad perk if u don't believe in us as random go check out them talking about SC

    I think self care is fine. It's that people don't know when to use it. Sure there are other options but self care has infinite heals.

    However if I'm running self care it's probably best to run Botany Knowledge to save time.

    For me self care is a must in solo.

    Using SC or being healed is wasting as much time equally.

    32 seconds alone with SC

    Or 16 seconds on 2 persons, resulting in 32 seconds of wasted time because 2 aren't doing anything productive for 16 seconds.


    The most efficient way of healing us using a Med Kit (16 seconds wasted time while also being alone) or using SC/BK (24 seconds of wasted time alone).

    Self Care doesn't make any difference to normal healing, it's a myth.

    ı'm tired of hearing this can't you see that with SC one person heal time is equal to two persons this is not making sense 2 injured people yes takes 32 secs to heal if we are talking about two person then it is 64 secs with SC or you are wasting your perk slot and not using SC healing with your teammate ı just can't understnad what makes you guys think like that.Are you gusy thinking you are capable of getting chased for 2 person chase time so you can waste that time by just yourself? if yes it really doesn't matter no matter what do you do cuz that match is on your side probably

    You guys keeping do the math like they are equal but they are not in math it looks like this X=32 and also 2x=32 so x is not equal 2x but you know what yeah 32 is still equal to 32 consider the X don't consider the time if you are thinking about its math they are not equal

    btw don't thing it is personal or like ı am insulting to you ı am just really curious

    Inner Strength is 100 times better than Self Care. It gets rid of potential NOEDs and heals you safely and silently in 8 seconds instead of 32.

    You have either 2 people not doing anything for 16 seconds, or 1 person not doing anything for 32 seconds. It's the same.

    you are saying yourself but still don't understand my point 2 people health state is more important than one person just this makes SC worse you are still considering it like they both happen in same time but what happens is more the time is same but you heal 2 person even you can heal only one person and use his health sate for both survivors by taking a hit SC is not the same

    Self Care isn’t a bad perk inherently, it’s the way it’s used that makes it detrimental.

    Have you ever played with a Self Care user in your team against a Legion, and had to watch as they stop to Self Care every time they get hit by Frenzy? It’s painful. It’s a huge waste of time and it’s usually enough to lose the match if just one person does it. Or similarly, a Self Care user rubbing themselves in the corner while their teammate is chased, and the person on the hook goes to second state.

    There’s nothing wrong with using SC if you know when you should heal and when you’d be better doing something more pressing, like hook saves or gens. Being able to heal yourself in end game when you need someone healthy to go for the save is good. If you’re on death hook against a killer with a strong chase power and the others are progressing the match then most people won’t complain either. But 99% of SC users will just use it without thinking by running to the corner of the map every time they’re injured and throw match after match, but get the hatch at the end and then have the mindset of “well you guys died and I didn’t so I don’t see how I’m the problem!”

    Use SC if you want but it has a bad rep for a good reason.

    I don't think anyone's serious when they call it bad, I jokingly call SC a trash perk all the time knowing full well it has its uses an was probly my first teachable.

    The problem is when survivors start useing SC beside u while your repairing a gen that's 80% done an the obsession's getting chased half way across the map. FFS Just help me finish the gen then ill heal you so you can stop wasting time / baiting everyone with NC to meh gens.

    I don't get the hate for self care over salty survivors damn, they can't accept that it's the best slowdown perk, killers can't enjoy anything nowadays
