Sick Of Decent Killer Perks Made Garbage
Gearhead, Trail of Torment, Fire Up and Coup De Grace have been sitting in the Walmart bargain bin for months and even years now. The devs know exactly how to make them good, because the good version actually existed, but they won't do it out of fear that having 5 good lunges in a match is gonna somehow make killer a cakewalk. They can't stand the thought of a simple perk with a simple function, everything has to be convoluted at best and counter-productive at worst. Every time I look through my perks to make a new build, I think of something interesting and am immediately frustrated because I remember some tacked-on downside that exists for no reason other than the balance team being incredibly timid and slow.
As survivor I have my healing build, my sprint burst build, my aura build, my plunderer build, my self-reliance build, my gen jockey build, and my stealth build.
As killer I have my tryhard build and my sloppy butcher build because everything else has too many artificial, pointless side-effects.
Wanna know why every Blight plays the same? Because hardly any killer perks are worth using. The pool of perks that Blight specifically can make use of is even smaller. If simple perks were allowed to exist, survivors would get to play VS something more interesting than the same 3 killers with the same rotation of 7 perks every game.
