Chase Points Need To Be Tripled.

Seriously, when a survivor does a good job against a stubborn killer, who refuses to break chase or go after the teammates throwing themselves at him, and loops the killer for more than 3 gens, they should be greatly rewarded. Especially since we all know that those types of killers usually end up face camping that survivor, not giving them a chance to earn more points.

Do it Behaviour! It needs to be done. Good loopers deserve points. Game is already tedious enough as it is, reward players for good play.

I agree. This has happened to me more times than I can count survivor side, I loop the guy flawlessly for five minutes straight, and my team has only gotten one gen done., then I get camped and get almost nothing in return.

I say, every time the Killer gets bloodlust in one chase you should get a stacking bloodpoint bonus that can't get revoked.

  • I think that if a survivor loops killer for a while they should get a bp bonus and if the killer manages to get hits quickly or downs quickly, they should also get a bp bonus. Honestly they should just buff bp for both sides.

That's not really impressive given with the current state of the game, it's really easy to run the Killer 5 gens. You're untouchable if you know how to run every loop, calculate distance, and Killer weaknesses.

However I would never say no to the idea that players get more points. Players do need more points.

Doing one thing really well doesn't equate to compensation for lack of other activities. Ignoring gens or altruism is a choice and BP usually reflects this.

In swf, it's fine if someone wants to be the designated runner. As for solo, one person holding all the attention until the gates open only detracts from everyone else's experience. Several players claim chase is the only enjoyable action and neer endless chases hinder access to this.

I more just think you should be getting points for what every other survivor is doing while you are in chase at a reduced rate (not my idea but I cant remember where I heard it from).

shouldn’t the killer be rewarded the same amount of points too??

  • Huge_BushHuge_Bush Member Posts: 3,723

That’s the thing, the one being chased isn’t ignoring gens or other objectives. They’re being chased for most of the match and the killer refuses to go after anyone else. There were times I’d literally stand in a doorway in order to block the killer and they’d take a different route to continue the chase. So how is this player supposed to do anything if the killer has tunnel vision?

  • Huge_BushHuge_Bush Member Posts: 3,723

No, because they’re failing to down the survivor. Killers should be rewarded for fast downs, not for getting kited for most of the match. Part of being a killer is to know when to abandon a chase.

While I agree to some extent, that isn’t the fault of the player. The devs are at fault for not balancing the maps to be fair for both sides and have tiles/loops be 50/50 and properly spaced.

Just remove the cap to bloodpoints on killers and survivors. Survivors who run a killer for 4 gens should get 20k bloodpoints for doing so.

I always found it dumb how you don't get survival points for living in chases you are "surviving"

Chase point is pretty easy, if you get tunneled from the beginning, you may gain at least 5000-6000 BP before dying if you're a decent runner.

    Survival point, however...

If they turn Gen,Heal skill check into Survival point. Alone that Im sure survivors' BP will gain much more.

Exactly right; it's not like I can command The Killer to pursue someone else. In most cases, no one can do anything to help you during a tunnel, and the game encourages the focus to some extent with BloodLust. Perhaps a new intrinsic for The Killer could promote a new target. Let's call it BloodAversion; chasing for too long on BL3 slows down The Killer to discourage them from their relentless pursuit of one Survivor? Lol, The Killer should find a new target, but most seem determined to down that person and camp.

Yuuuuuppp. Survivors need to be encouraged to do stuff with sweet, sweet points. The game would probably balance itself out if sitting in gens was actually productive.

Which sounds like I'm being sarcastic, but seriously it's so annoying that you can do all the gens and get the least amount of points in a game where that's the only real objective.

Sometimes you just can't catch a break and you barely get to touch a gen for the entire match. I feel like once you hit the 8k points in Boldness, you should get a percentage of additional Boldness put into the 3 other categories.

Survivors are not stuck in chase until down or the killer's attention runs out. Escaping the chase is part of the game (points are awarded for this) and it's up to the survivor to gauge when/where to attempt. A killer locked on target is not guaranteed any success in hooks or tracking.

Survivors get significantly less points than killers most the time. I think it's because people believe "well, it's four against one" but are neglecting the fact that each of the four is an individual with their own bloodwebs. Nothing is shared between people playing survivors. It's not like they can exchange points. Survivors should be rewarded as individuals, not as a single entity, and be rewarded more for what they do. Running a killer for prolonged periods of time is actually really hard and the person usually does get camped/slugged afterwards or can't do anything else, no choice of their own, and so shouldn't be punished but rewarded for their effort and contribution to the match.

I feel the exact same way. You get more points doing anything but gens, but if you don't do gens, then the match tends to progress too quickly in the opposite direction.

A good portion of survivor gameplay for me is just trying to avoid having under 10k BP in any given match.
