Not really that's just a cover up saying, it would still put you in a safe distance
Because they aren't as oppressive, you have to work way harder then waiting to click a button and all the other easy benefits you gain from that build. Vaulting speed, no noise, bite the bullet counters Strider now. Let's stop the downplaying/sugar coating
It does infact matter because killers also have a copy and paste build, not just the survivor side, both sides have a ridiculous build and you throwing out a survivor build and your own build shows how we don’t know how that game went and if you were going with the killer copy and paste build or not
If your build doesn't matter, why are you so afraid to post it? Just tell us what killer and build you're using.
two of those are hex perks but the strength of that combination in particular is very strong, and you can use all exhaustion more than once per match. DH is the most practical because it has the most utility while have no real weird quirks, for example BL you have to find and make it to a high place to get use out of it and if the killer reads it he can still get you.
Second chance perks pretty much give you a extra health state, and DH does that when it's used for distance. Therefore it is both a exhaustion and second chance perk.
Well maybe I wasn't clear or misunderstood what you were trying to say. What I'm trying to say is the numerous amount of times I've had killers counter my dead hard by just waiting or swinging right after I've dead harded or times I pressed it before they swing but they swing and I get hit anyway AND the times I myself have countered someone using it means to me its not a perk that needs a nerf. A good or meta perk sure but that doesn't mean it needs a nerf. If everything that was meta got nerfed this game would have a big power creep issue when new perks released and then whatever the opposite of a power creep is when you nerf everything.
You showing how you got at least two kills is not helping your case here.
Not even a survivor main, but ok sugar tits. People aren't complaining about SB because they're complaining about DH. But then if it gets nerfed and they still lose, they'll blame something else, most likely SB because it will become so meta.
Basically, people just need to concede they aren't losing to perks. They're just losing.
No, I don't think so at all. I play both sides, with about 4500, at least 1500-2000 of those are survivor.
I can attest from both sides, dead hard requires absolutely no skill. It's literally just "oops I ######### up and got outplayed, let me undo that so the killer has to do it twice"
Don't get me wrong, I'll abuse the ######### out of it as survivor until they remove it -- which I know they won't. And as killer, I just treat dead hard like it's base kit for everyone and deal with it because I have to. It's also not even the top of my list of concerns as far as balance goes.
But honestly it's just a complete joke to me to suggest Dead Hard is anything but an in-game CTRL+Z, no matter which side or perspective you look at it from. The Killer equivalent would be "Every 60 seconds, while looping a survivor, if you make a bad guess and go the wrong way, press E to instantly teleport behind the survivor again"
In many ways Sprint Burst actually is way stronger than Dead Hard and for the best teams it usually is meta over DH. The only reason DH is used more is 1) Sprint Burst is useless against Nurse and Dead Hard is basically the only actual counterplay to Nurse ; and 2) Dead Hard is interactive, because you get to press a button before using it, so it feels like you're "doing something" .. hence the confusion with "skill"
I only care about dead hard not being allowed in the exit gate zone I am sick of T-bagging and them Dead Harding out. Past that idc.
That would be a nerf.
That being said, survivor builds have the diversity of a conservative state senate.
conservative state senate im DED
My only big complaint about Dead Hard is when it's used for distance. Frustrating to deal with as the "Just bait the dead hard bro" argument I keep hearing doesn't really do anything. There's nothing to bait, they DH outside of lunge range to make it around a long loop again.
This is a minor gripe, but I find out dead hard works pretty janky. It seems that for the duration of the DH dash, your survivor simply has no hitbox. This means you can dead hard over trapper traps for instance, which is chase-ending on narrow corridors where the trapper's only option is to step through the trap and self-stun.
I can't stand when y'all waste precious time bitching about a perk that has counterplay, can only be used once every 40(at max) seconds, a perk that only creates slight space or dodges 1 hit, and that half the users don't even know how to properly use. You're ridiculous. It's not as if you can't get caught shortly after like dang. stop. focus on the real issues like lag, skill based matchmaking, people taking the game hostage and refusing to participate in normal gameplay, trolling and gameplay abuse. So many things smh.
Here's another one i went against today and got my hag adept anyhow. Still annoying as all hell
They do have no hit box, well not really. They are immune to dmg during the duration. Simply put like i've said a lot..DH provides 2 of the strongest benefits in the game with no counterplay to the survivor
So basically you still won your match but just the inconvenience of having people DH against the easiest counter to DH the hag is enough to warrant hate.
Like I get it that perk is annoying to deal with but I don't think you can complain when you got basically a 4k
I’m a survivor main. I loathe this perk. It’s such a cheap perk, and rewards the survivor if they mess up or if they get outplayed. It’s a good idea for extending chases, but if it takes for you to use dead hard to have a good chase then you’re not good at survivor. I have plenty of long chases without using dead hard.
simple, those kind of builds are the answer of killers to survivor meta builds, its as simple as one feeds the other on a loop of "meta", the root of the problem is that one side comes with a busted build that everyone else copy, and in answer the oposite side has to come up with a meta build that counters it to even up the battle field, the problem here is that the game its heavily biased towards one side, while the other its continiously called toxic and unfair
i mean somehow i still beat them but do you think it was easy? DH extends chases beyond compare and like you, downplaying it because you wanna hide behind it so
You literally have other survivors who use it or main survivor calling it a cheap perk and you're over here like "so basically". SO basically you're downplaying it. gotcHA
-_- I might be a survivor main but I never use the perk
I'm not hiding I don't use DH only time I do is for randomized perk challenges or tome challenge.
Hag makes quick work of DH if you know how to place her trap in the spots that are heavily used by DH players
when does the killers tunnel and camp meta get nerfed then i really support the DH nerf
Using Sprint Burst well requires the survivor to constantly move slowly throughout the game until the killer is right on you. You sacrifice pressure and efficiency for it. Dead Hard is a dodge move that bails you out with free invincibility even if you can't use the dodge move properly. It's just a bailout for failure.
Exactly. Killers want a different meta - they bring out boon totems which are strong and could replace up to 2 meta perk slots, they also mean survivors spend time off gens and can be countered by killers with a 1 second animation. Killers want it nerfed like lucky break was after PTB and then it becomes pointless in running again so the meta NEVER CHANGES.
'Second chance' perks are necessary. Survivors are up against a killer which is faster, they have finite resources such as pallets and the killers have bloodlust, escape rates are not equal to sacrifice rates even WITH the game in its current state so limiting exhaustion perks further is just going to make the game even more unbalanced.
We all know the real balancing issue for almost everything is comms. A 4 man has the advantage of pure efficiency, i lose in KWF all the time becauze theyre just too efficient and im.not good enough to deal with it but thats on me as frustrating as it is!
Even a 2 man on comms and even a 3 (which i play as mostly) gives us much less than a 50% escape rate of 2 or 3 of us.
4 man teams are the biggest imbalance not perks and their attributes.
You might as well say "killers normally should just stand there and not take any advantage of survivor error"
That's a good title for DH "It's just a bailout for failure."
