I've talked about if survivors have multiple LoS blockers in a row then it can get tough for Nurse, and indoor maps it becomes pretty difficult to play her as its hard to judge if your blink will be short and you have to guess a lot.
On realms that have generic tiles tho like L-T walls, jungle gyms, etc. It becomes a lot easier for her since she can easily play around those tiles
Not sure why everyone continues to say nurse is a hard killer and you have to be on your A gane every match you play. Literally all it is is muscle memory, once you have that down she is dead easy to play as.
POV: A Nurse sees you, then times her blink perfectly so she lands right on your butt. You can’t counter that. The only thing you can hope for is that the Nurse messes up her blink (over/under blinks).
Well then you shouldn't stand still in the open. I mean, you can hear a Nurse charging her blinks, you can see the direction she is pointing at and if it isn't a very short/quick charged blink have definitively time to react to it and outposition. She has a lot of tells survivor just ignore.
Because not everyone has the exact same skills? Some will find her not that hard to master, some will take a lot of time to be at least decent with her.
She has 2 blinks… a good nurse will typically use the first blink to get near you then react to your movement and use her second blink to smack you. That’s IF she didn’t already hit you with the first blink. Sometimes good movement will throw her off and you buy yourself a few more seconds but other than that you’re screwed.
You have Nurse as your PFP so I’m not going to argue with you about this lol.
I have no problem with Nurse being a strong killer, but she literally has the same amount of counterplay as Spirit: guessing. You can guess/determine how long and which direction Nurse will blink but ultimately you’re at her mercy.
It’s just funny how people generally think that because Nurse takes more mechanical skill to play that makes her more “okay” than Spirit.
This is the case with every hard to learn hard to master high skill ceiling character in any game. Unfortunately DBD limits itself in what characters are able to do. Nurse is the literal only killer in this game that removes those limits with proper play. Haddonfield and Midwich, normally a killers worst nightmare, suddely become a sort of playground for good Nurse players. Proper blinking between small fences, or doing the suicide basement properly as Nurse. Blinking the stair turn on midwich properly. Bad nurses do poorly and stop playing because the time needed to actually reach a level of competence with her is WELL beyond what the casual player is willing to do.
Therefore by definition the only nurses you see, are garbage, or great. There aren't really any 'average' nurses in the game. She just doesnt operate under average play. Average with her is impossible due to her uniqueness and operation. She invalidates the rules of the game, only after sufficient time invested into her. Even then, Survivors simply win based off even skill.
"this game takes a lot more skill than people realize"
It really doesnt. This isn't a very in depth game. Outside of Nurse and Blight, there is barely any mechanics required to learn as most killers besides hold W and left click survivors. There are situational killers like Trapper and Hag who need better game knowledge and go up in power as the player goes up in overall time played. But from a survivor standpoint there REALLY isn't much skill needed. Hold W. Look behind you for killer trying to mindgame, run the tile. It's really that simple. Outside of Nurse there isn't anything unintuitive about this game. Which is part of its charm. A lot of it IS, "pick up and go."
Well same counts for the second blink. As long as a Nurse isn't too close, you have time to react to a blink by judging those tells. And as long as you are dealing with first blinks your movement should lead you to that safe distance for the second one. Besides it's possible to use a pallet to counter the second blink partially. I know people claim that she ignores them, but that isn't completely right, because she has to commit to one of the two sides of the pallet and throwing it can push her blink back/block a lunge.
Anyway of course at some point you will find yourself outpositioned, but that is kinda the rule for all chases, when a killer plays perfect. Doesn't changes the fact, that it takes them still quite some time.
Besides that Nurse isn't comparable to Spirit, because like I said, she has a bunch of tells. You always can see where she will blink to and what she is doing. She has a clear visual and audio feedback of her power.
Something can be easy to pick up, but very difficult to master. And thats the situation with DbD. Theres a large majority of survivors who know what theyre doing when given the right tools, but the skill in this game is adapting and being able to work with anything youre provided with.
On the killer side of things, a lot of it is identifying opportunities that can turn a game around, and thats not something you pick up quickly.
Point is, theres a large difference between a good and master player
this. so much this. Nurse and Nurse understand literally requires you to play Nurse. You can play a bazillion hours against her but if you don't PLAY Nurse you don't understand her and ways to exploit what she does
I mean yea, the time I put into her has taught me everything about her. You can play for 10,000 hours with survivor/ other killers and that won’t make you understand her.
That’s just straight up not true. Nurse and the survivor both have to guess. Unless you are a robot or the survivor is extremely predictable, it is not possible to hit every blink.
I don't even play Nurse that often, played her a bunch when I got my new PC 2 years ago, as I was in the process of prestiging her, she got her rework. But for a solid few weeks I was on a Nurse spree, I wen't against a good mix of survivors during that time. And the large majority of blinks I got a hit.
Nowadays, I'll miss maybe 2 or 3 blinks where my intent was to get a hit and not just close distance.
So then, you’re better than every tournament Nurse and streamer that uses her…..I don’t buy it. No doubt you could dominate before MMR since the vast majority of survivors are bad. You would have a much different opinion if you player her at high MMR now.
This is still counterable. Doing a 180, even against the best killer players in the world (watching streams) will get you away and gone at least half the time. Against terrible nurses (like me), it's more like 99%
Bro, play against top tier Nurses like Supa Alf. No one is perfect so of course even a Nurse player can make mistakes… but those great ones will have you down very quickly. Faster than a Spirit can, that’s for damn sure.
I mean I played 6 matches tonight and the worst game I had was a 2k, 8 hooks.
Wanna know on what map? Hawkins, her worst map.
Had a game against a 4 man where the person with the lowest amount of hours was 2.2k, highest was 4.3k. Map was Groaning Storehouse.
11 hook 3k, last girl got the hatch. 2 gens remaining with no slowdown.
Every time I play Nurse it always goes something like the 2nd game. She was a challenge to learn, but she's easy af to play since Survivors are barely given anything to deal with her. I've made mistakes in those games as well, that were basically plastered directly on the screen. Did it matter? No, I'm the god damn Nurse.
Anybody who denies that The Nurse is strong, a killer who ignores any defenses a Survivor throws at them and has one of the best mobility tools in the game on a 6 second cooldown is delusional. Sure Nurse at the VERY highest level will struggle, not high level MMR because that shits a joke, but tourney level. I'd damn hope she'd struggle in a tourney because you're expecting top tier survivors who are literally playing for money and have AMAZING time management. But you don't see those tourney squads in normal games that often if ever.
Thanks for proving my point. If she was truly broken, those tourney squads would get smashed. The fact that they consistently beat her shows that survivors have plenty of options to counter, but survivors are too ######### or too lazy to bother learning. People being ignorant isn’t a valid point when saying that there’s nothing survivors can do.

Before or after dedicated?

How do you counterplay a perfect blink? You can’t.
Pre-Nerf Spirit can still be cucked by Iron Will, pallets and good windows.
Defind a perfect blink? Is it the same as a perfect M1?

Yes, anything perfect is uncounterable.

Yes, we're all different.

Hours played doesn’t mean you understand how Nurse works.
Ok mr "1k hour nurse main"
this. so much this. Nurse and Nurse understand literally requires you to play Nurse. You can play a bazillion hours against her but if you don't PLAY Nurse you don't understand her and ways to exploit what she does

Who said anything about understanding? You claimed at first that I was inexperienced.
And from my experience I've learned that if you know what you're doing, there is VERY little a survivor can do.

Right now.
One match wouldn’t prove anything. Try consistently winning at high MMR with her. Not gonna happen because even she struggles at the highest level.
I mean I played 6 matches tonight and the worst game I had was a 2k, 8 hooks.
