Bruh, the boon perks crash the game. Shut up about killer coddling.
No they only disabled the map offerings.
because they are disabling the boon perks but not hex perks now, and only the one healing boon, the one that makes it so you actually bless totems and put the ring up (which i would THINK would be the one that actually causes crashes) is left on, the only one that was disabled was the one that allowed survivors to heal in the ring, which is what people in forums were complaining about before it was outright disabled, is that all it takes to get perks disabled? enough people complaining about it? then an excuse is made that it crashes something?
and the main point i was trying to make which was obviously lost on you, is the devs werent even trying to fix the issue in the past, and now with it affecting the killer they fixed it immediately, and on the same note, if it really is the uncleansable totem thats the problem, why make it so you can still go to the map at all? they clearly have the ability to disable maps in rotation, but they are choosing to leave them in rotation just not offerings, its the illusion of doing something to help the community while pandering to one side, and if the other side gets more vocal maybe theyll be swayed maybe they wont, but money talks, does it not?
They aren't shutting off the boon because of unhittable totems, and they probably won't.
How dense can you be?
Unless this is master bait from an experienced troll, in which case good job.
I think he's serious, he'd rather have the game crash, ruining it for all 5 players, than give up his precious boon healing.
they never crashed games i was in, maybe the games they crashed the people didnt have decent pcs? food for thought
also, you think killers arent coddled? lol starstruck activates while you are walking, even if you picked up the survivor while it was on cooldown, unlike thrilling tremors, and puts anyone in it into instadown state, almost every killer has an insta down addon and an exhaustion addon, as well as undetectable, the various aura reading perks, which boon does counter, maybe thats the biggest problem killers have with boon, its not healing, its that it negates the aura reading so they actually have to go out and find the survivors, thats why i run discordance and tinkerer, no aura reading on the survivors themselves so i think it gets around the boon block, havent tested it yet though was having fun with the boon totems seeing their ranges an what not
Circle of healing was causing crashes apparently.
no, id rather the devs actually use the PTB to TEST the game so it doesnt crash when it goes live, thats what a public TEST beta is for, is it not? the devs are insanely dropping the ball, yet like in real life with politics, we are bickering amongst ourselves instead of placing blame where it should be, which is all i was really trying to say
Your still able to use shadow step. Hex perks are not causing the game to crash. Yes the maps are still in rotation . I'm not quite sure exactly how many maps are in the game but 4 of those have an issue of those 4 maps it's a 1 in 5 chance a totem will be on a totem that can't break.
They didn't disable the vhs pig addon that makes people start the match when rbt in there heads even though the traps do not activate.
They do it now because now they actually have a way to disable them without an update. If a hex becomes a problem then they'll disable it, unfortunately the devs have only seen the problem with boons and it was only one boon that was disabled. The actual reason was because it was causing crashes. The map offerings were disabled due to uncleansable/unblessable totem spawns.
I'm on an XSX and they were still crashing me.
Also, you sound like an elitist with your "get a better pc" mentality.
Good news, you can still test the shadow step boon. They only killswitched circle, because, again, it crashed the game for those dirty plebs that "don't have a decent pc."
Also, they literally could not killswitch uncleansable before because it did not exist before.
Yea I'm playing on PS4 and it was crashed for me.
It's okay though, because you apparently don't deserve to not have the game crash because you didn't shell out the money for a decent pc.
lmaoo that killed me
Let's just put it this way... DBD was in the most stable state it has ever been in before it was released for your crappy little consoles.
I really don't see what dbd being in console has to do with stability. And ps I also play on PC as well.
I know that's not why but would be reasonable seeing as how it's a known issue, but just another thing killer will have to play through like many other long term bugs.
A Conspiracy theorist would speculate this is a shadow test to see how well Killers do without scratch marks
It's just someone who thinks if you don't have a pc you shouldn't be allowed to play video games. Don't bother with them.
I mean, they might not want to disable all the boons because it would have a semblance of unfairness to survivors if survivors' totem perks get killswitched because of that.
Realistically, once they fix the circle of healing they should come out and say if they will or will not killswitch totem perks due to unbreakable hex/boons.
They disabled the boon CoH and 4 Map offerings.
The Problem realy was the game crashed and others took forever to load.
The Shadowstep boon is still aktiv.
im actually the opposite of an elitist i have a 300$ refurbished PC and the game isnt crashing,
to everyone claiming "they disable it now because they can" do you honestly think they couldnt before? are you seriously saying the people that own the game, know the code, etc, didnt have any way what so ever, to disable a perk until now? they quickly were able to disable maps completely when there were crashing issues on said maps, but a totem might be unbreakable and they remove offerings for those maps (most of which, are kinds survivor sided depending on the killer) but dont outright disable the map? why? they obviously can, saloon has been out of rotation for awhile as have other maps or a variation of a map, so they definitely have the resources, stop giving the devs the excuse to not do their jobs properly, there was a PTB for 2 weeks, were crashes happening then? if not, why are they happening now? obviously they changed something when it went live, revert that change and then theres no need to remove the perk all together
again, use your brains and stop giving the devs the excuse to run the game into the ground, the only thing they care about these days are keeping up with dlc schedule and cosmetics for the shop, yes they are a business, not knocking that, but im sure none of us here would knock the devs missing a dlc drop if they focused on fixing bugs instead of forcing a dlc just to break 100 more other things and bring old bugs back, and again, theres testing for a reason, more people join the tests, theoretically more chances of running into these issues before it hits live, but theres no incentive to switch to PTB from live other than stopping bugs and learning the new perks/killer
well to be fair, console/windows players have one advantage over those who got dbd through steam, with what happened with EAC and steam, least theyd be able to play in the event steam has another crash either with itself or EAC, found it funny that a steam update messed up EAC so all games tied to that were down, not just dbd
Surely its both boon perks cause i have seen Mikaelas dc and crash after the killswitch. So I don't see the point in just killswitching only one perk, if it cause crashes and it makes the game unstable it should be disabled until its fixed for a greater good. No one will die while waiting for a few days or whatever time it takes to get fixed.
No, this is called whataboutism.
No, this is called double standard.
Just because something was handled poorly in the past doesn't mean that it should also be handled poorly in the future.
Plus, there is no 'double standard' here unless you are being deliberately disingenuous.
You are talking about a time when BHVR was a much smaller company, and was struggling to even get the basics right.
It's like those people who reference Vanilla balance in World of Warcraft to QQ when someone else's class gets a buff.
