Oni's 180° turn: feature or exploit?

As Oni, when in dash, looking up-left/right, and then down-same direction(left or right), you can do a 180° flick.
I'm having health problems, so just writing this costs me energies, and I had the force to write this just now: is this an intended feature or an exploit?

I've never been able to do that with my controller, even with 100% sensitivity. Maybe it can be done with a mouse on PC? I have no idea if it's intended or not.
Where, in the name of the lord, did you find a degree symbol?
If something can't be done with a controller, that's where a problem is, because someone has an advantage that someone not on pc can't have
Here
i think its feature since he is wm1 on first chase
also few restrictions there survivor can borrow more time from his m2
he is not good at snowball so it feels fair
but blight feels exploit for me but still even blight having higher skill cap than old nurse
alt keys if you can be bothered °
Im on a PC, which is funny beause the top of the screenshot says "Advantage that those on PC can't have"
Blight flick was fixed and buffed in another way
Lol
Alt and what?
It is an exploit just like blight. the problem is he isn't popular enough to bother fixing and not enough people know how to do the exploit. If he suddenly exploded in popularity like blight did then they would probably remove it.

I dont have a numpad :(
What can be done in DBD on PC but not on console would fill this forum and the three next door...
I've got a question for the mods like Mandy, or whoever can respond:
If survivors abuse of stretched res, am I allowed to abuse exploits like this to counter back? If using stretched res isn't bannable, why should this be bannable then?
It isn't bannable. It just needs to be removed. Stretched also needs to be fixed but it is also caused by external factors rather than just buggy code.
It's not intended. When Oni was on PTB he was able to do 180's regurarely and normally.
Once he hit release shortly after they cappped his turn rate to 90°, even then it was overpowered in the devs eyes then nerfed it to 45°, after many complaints they buffed it back to 90°
So the intended turn is 90°, everything above is a mechanical exploit.
Edit: This is per side, you can turn 90° left and 90° right, but getting more than 90° on each side should not be possible, but it is.
In what possible scenario is getting a down with 180 better than normal?
I'd say this is the only exploity flick in the game. It kinda removes all counterplay which isn't fair so I won't be too disappointed if it gets removed. Blight flicks on the other hand can stay
what's the difference?
They're not busted?
It is an exploit and should be fixed imo. I’m on console so I could never do it anyway
Considering blight flicks were fixed, I suppose they should fix it too and buff oni accordingly
There were a handful of patches to fine tune the flick max angle.
In the ptb it was 180 by stacking mouse and controller. That was patched and openly declared as unintended in the notes.
The flick was also accidentally overnerfed and later adjusted to 90°, which is the intended limit.
Everything beyond that is 100% unintended, simply because we know exactly what the intended cap is.
Tl;dr: exploit, not tech.
I also play on console and I think pc should be capped at 30fps. Pc players have been exploting higher fps for way too long.
Exploit. Cant be done on console.
Similar thing was with blight and it made blight so bad on console, before a console blight could use both turn addons and still not even get close to the turning or flicking of a pc.
I'm on pc and my keyboard has a ° sign which I often use for my :° smiley. I do have an azerty keyboard though.
On topic: exploit.
Technically it's an exploit when you have to go over a certain Dpi to overflick..
...But that's really the only thing keeping him up there on par with the killers,
people use scripts for them flicks mah boi
I appreciate your opinions guys, and maybe have a discussion on how much Oni's flick ° should be, the problem here is understanding what the devs think, because they can't simply say something "wasn't supposed to be like it's working atm", and it's removed. Or say "it was a feature not mentioned in the patch notes". It can go either way
Mods do you know anything, whether it's an exploit or not?
