Attention Steam and EGS players: a quick hotfix will be going live today at 11AM ET to address file validation reliability. Thank you for your understanding!
Wish everyone would just listen to me in regards to Spirit
the huntress isn't easy to learn and she is too much map dependent. The Spirit could be genrushed before and now it's much easier because her addons for her map control were nerfed. also if you study her noise then it will be very easy to stun her with pallets if she uses her Yamaoka's haunting.
Majority of the spirit mains as you said, quit because they're shite and can't get easy wins anymore with a killer that literally had no counterplay. Now that they fixed her, these shitters probably moved on to Nurse. Such a shame.
I bet you're the type who'd say standing still was a "mindgame" lul. and yes i know, the shards on her body is a telltale that she's phasing, but sweatlords would use cosmetics to hide it.
Nurse takes the most skill and time to learn so isn't an mindless easy win killer. So are they skilless baby killers or are they putting in a bunch of work and time and skill to learn nurse?
I main Nemesis which is probably the easiest/chill killer to play, but I play Nurse when I need to get to Rank 1. Yes, ranks doesn't equal MMR but you need to win a lot of games to get to that rank which means your MMR increases. It took me, and I'm not lying, 30 minutes to be good with her with no addons. Maybe I'm just built different or more likely, she isn't as hard as people make her out to be.
So... you're going to have to explain to me how it wasn't? The idea obviously being you look like you're doing one thing, but you're actually doing something else, which makes you unpredictable and then you win your chase. Or you take advantage of someone thinking you're going to do that (again) and actually do the obvious thing instead.
That's how every mindgame in this game works. So, either standing still was a mindgame or there are no mindgames.
mindgame is something both the survivor and killer can do especially in a T-L wall or a tall and short loop and either of them can win. With a spirit just standing still with no indication that she's phasing, puts the survivor in a game that they cannot win reliably, therefore it's not a mindGAME, more like a mind-go-fellate-yourself instead 🙂
Ah, arbitrary distinctions! "This doesn't count because it's not something you can both do", because the only time you can feint something is if you're both doing it...? That's silly.
I mean, it's a really simplistic one, and yeah the only counterplay is if someone is doing it repeatedly and getting super predictable, but... 99% of the time this community uses mindgame as a synonym for any sort of feint. Which is what this trick was, even if it's barebones as hell.
Humorously, the loading screen still recommends trying it. Wonder if there's any other outdated "tips" that are there?
Went against my first spirit last week and all i did was stand at a pallet and stun her until she gave up... I don't get where this "takes more skill" argument comes from because the way people play spirit hasn't changed.. They still attempt to predict where i am running and meet me there. The problem is that i know exactly where she is so it doesn't matter. It is actually easier to track her in haunting then if she tries to mindgame out of it.
Even if they fake one side and go around it doesn't matter because i can hear it.
She’s still really good and I wish people still played her more. Lately I think I’ve played against billy more often than spirit and that’s saying something.
Agreed. Most of the ones who dropped her were probably overly reliant on the standstill "mindgame". She's still really strong. You just have to actually be able to play Spirit to do well with her. The problems she faces now have a lot more to do with Shadow Step/Iron Will than her nerf. She'd be totally fine iff they would actually fix Iron Will so survivors required oxygen like normal humans. But right now Iron Will users have otherwordly cardiovascular abilities and don't even breathe after running a quarter mile.
Camping the pallet comes with its own risks now if the Spirit actually knows what they're doing and fakes with the audio on the short side until you drop the pallet. Then it's pretty much a guaranteed hit because they have the speed burst out of phase while you're animation locked. It's kind of like how most solo teammates aren't great. Most killers....aren't great.

He makes me motion sick 😔
Even with shadowborn?

Like one of comments, she's worse and most people don't want to play worsened killer.
Even if strength is not completely equal as fun, nerf brings about unfun to some people.

Even with res stretched to hell and back

People put "mindgame" in quotations because it was the limpest mindgame possible.
Flip the coin bad and you die. Flip the coin good and you probably still die, let's be honest.
My favorite mindgame is the "tie you down and shoot you with a gun" one. You win the mindgame if the gun jams.

Well duh, that's where the 'orderS of magnitude' comes into play. That combo is more like Stridor Spirit 7.0
"There are 4 Rules"

Fair enough
Fair enough
I haven't played Spirit in awhile
I have been playing other Killers
and thats why i run enduring on Spirit now
Well she wasn’t OP before like Nurse but she still certainly needed changes. You can’t argue standing still needed to go.
No one likes Spirit. There i said it.
From a sad, former Twins main.
Maybe I should stream on Twitch then so I can spread it to more people.
Well I do…
Yes, become the next big streamer.
Spread the word of Rin

I am glad to see someone who still enjoys her.
I'm working on prestiges, so I guess I do too? :T
Once again, totally off base. Huntress is one of the hardest killers to play effectively at high mmr. Spirit is nowhere near top 3 anymore.
People can listen to you but don't have to agree.
