DS nerf when?

As a person who mostly likes playing Survivor, I really want DS to be nerfed.
I understand that it’s a perk that’s unfair to the killer and I saw that as I was playing Killer a bit more awhile back, I just never spoke on it.
I don’t know what they’re planning on doing with this perk and I don’t see how it could be possibly be “balanced” without one side taking a disadvantage or disliking how it is.
I’m looking forward to this nerf mostly because of my friends.
They are very closed minded and think that the perk is balanced when it’s really not. They see it as balanced because it’s a hit or miss, and that the skill check is very hard to hit when in reality, it isn’t unless you’re getting an unexpected 3 o’clock skill check or if the killer has unnerving presence.
I really want people to realize that you DONT need DS all the time and to give killers the equal amount of chances that survivors get in certain scenarios.
I used to run DS a long time ago and it got to the point where I ran it so much that I eventually thought that I “needed” it, but I really didn’t. So I can kinda understand why a majority of survivors, along with my friends think this way.
I swapped my DS for borrowed time/WGLF and I do not regret it at all.
Has there been any PTB for DS rework or what?

probably wont happend since ds needs to be a balance thing for killer and survivor they tried 1 time but they said that they didint like the change
Firstly, you probably play killer a lot against DS and it's fine to admit if you do nobody will judge you.
Secondly, I agree. I'm a neutral player but I can't stand DS for both sides either. It ruins a killers day.
They should change it to be like Deliverance where you have to do something before the Perk activates.
It pisses me off because that was a fair kill.
Thats why I said “certain scenario’s”.
PS4 killer here. I'd say 75% of my games at R1 have at least one DS. And I think they will never touch it.
At least I would like to see if two or more people have the perk, because most of the times the second or third person using it catches killers with their pants down.
BHVR is probably to scared of another review bomb
Boosted by stuff like DS, exactly
Yup. I hate DS.
I play on PS4 as well, it’s not as bad as PC....
Can completely take a winning game from a killers hands, and it allows bad survivors to be in a place they shouldn't be.
In the higher ranks, some people learned that ds can be not as annoying by running enduring, so that ds is less hard hitting and you can get back in action fast, ds really does not need a nerf or buff, and I play killer 75% of my games
DS needs a major change and the devs apathy towards it is concerning. DS in its current state sucks. I can typically play around one since i know the obsession has it and its only one but its the ones you dont know about that really royally [BAD WORD] you over. Obsession DS is bad enough trying to deal with but multiple is an absolute nightmare that will kill all of your momentum.
The idea the devs had about it stunning the killer in place was not a bad one however the devs scrapped the idea unfortunately. Alternatively they could make the perk fill a certain percentage of the wiggle bar versus a complete escape. Say 50 percent at tier 3.
That or they could make it a gamble perk. If more than one person brings DS only the obsession can use DS and the DS on the other survivors will just be a dead perk.
Enduring doesnt change anything if the survivor is dropped nearby a pallet/window and theres plenty of them
I don’t mind getting stunned, it’s the fact that a kill I worked for just got a free escape. Especially, when they get too cocky and teabag at the exit gate and get downed just to DS out. It rewards bad survivors.
If you’re going to give survivors a perk to escape
the killers grasp, at least have a downside to it like @I_am_Negan suggested. Make it an unnerving presence skill check or give them the broken/no mither status.
If they decide to not do anything about it, that’s cool too because at the end of the day, it’s just a game.
then try not to end the chase near these locations or dribble them away from the pallet/window near a hook, some good survivors will keep ds till they are on death hook and being picked up, or at an exit
I think DS should have 3 Tokens. Every use it adds 1 extra second to the stun. Also, you only need to push the action button. Also if you are not the obsession, then you have to struggle for 10%, but still have 3 tokens.
Don't want it to be to strong now do we
I like the idea of broken status effect when using the perk, forcing survivors to hold onto it
Its up to the survivor. He can decide where he goes down, of course I could decide not to him him down, but ya know.......
Dribbling is an insanely huge time waste on top of the DS escape
I know that dribbling is wasting time and all, but the thing I learned through the 70 ds I have ate, was that within the amount of d-strikes is those who miss, so there is many ways to hold down the match, Dribbling is a good way to counter the use but can go wrong, and prepare a flashlight save too, I have found that some maps have corners that are big enough to hold the survivor in place, bodyblocking them, both wasting ds and giving you a new hook
Community-wise also since the boosted ones always rely on it, I feel like it’ll help people play more efficiently and not too cocky.
A included sprint burst once the gates are powered, would round the thing up.
A good idea for you all in community to evaluate is DS can get nerfed in a good way, I am not being rude, but DS is in my opinion the hardest perk to nerf, its like freddy, one nerf can make it too weak, one buff can make it too strong, reworking DS would take too long, and the people who say remove ds, you guys have ran this perk before, dont lie about it, a good way to nerf it is making it give you broken for 120/100/80 seconds and reduced action speeds by 14/13/12% for the rest of the trial after use, the skill check could be smaller and the stun time can be reduced, but this can lead to survivors not liking it and I hate making perk ideas that are not the best
Yeah but the non-obsession version would have a sprintburst reduced by 1 sec. The sprint burst happens once anyway, so its still balanced
That is why I stopped running it, on console my controllers are delayed by alot, so I stopped running it because I would hit it but the rb would not register till its not on it anymore
My games are pretty chill. What killer do you main? Can you post a video of your gameplay or DM it to me so I can see what you are talking about?
It may be possible that you’re not good at killer or you don’t have good perks.
Doesn't sound like a bad idea honestly. I personally like it. It wastes so much of the killers time, having a drawback for survivors would be nice honestly. Especially the decreased action speed. So the time lost for the killer can be gained back a bit thanks to the reduced action speed.
