Gaining bloodpoints is a joke

Putting all the effort in a match and you get ######### all. Working on 5 gens and you get like 12000 bloodpoints. You get a ######### ######### match? Here, enjoy 4500 bloodpoints. It's like working hard with back pain for a meager salary like it's slavery man this is ######### up.

And I have to do this for all survivors and killers? Man why aren't we getting all the perks available for all survivors or killers once we've unlocked them? It's bloody insane how many bloodpoints I have to earn to level all my characters and get all the tier 3 perks I need for them. And this doesn't stop because BHVR continuously release killers and survivors on a monthly basis. Like, sorry, but I can't do it. There is no way unless I have 10 years of spare time and a dull mind to play the same game all day.

    I suggest using WGLF and save and heal people as much as you can. It usually results in 30k+ games for me as a survivor.

    BP earning currently is fair, a "good" match where everyone has a fair chance to play may earn ~18.000 BP. Thats enough for you to buy and use 2 Yellow addon + Green Item + Green offering.

    How the trial flows that force Killer to tunnel / camping is a problem with low BP earn.

    And last, perk tiers....Cut down perk tiers and suddenly remove 66% grind.

    We might get something to help the grind but that's still far into the future

    That's cool and all but that only means a bloodweb or two in the end

    Also that's not the point (from what I read) of the thread

    I was out of town for three weeks, just came back, and had something like 300k extra bloodpoints when I logged in to play from all the giveaways. And I was already at the 1 million cap when I left, spent back down to about 950k before I played Spirit to do her mission, and in one game am back up to just under 1 million.

    Honestly if you buy a bloodweb or two between matches and use what you the game gives you rather than drilling for very specific perks there’s no shortage of bloodpoints. It’s only hyperexpensive if you’re adamantly trying to get a very particular set of perks on a specific character.

    Problem for a long time now. Grind is way too much. Especially for new players.

    I think they should lower web prices by xy% - less grind - simple solution without the need to do anything else.

    How long it takes to get what you want is dependant on how you choose to spend your BP, whether you choose to prestige, and your capability to earn it consistently. I never play without BBQ or WGLF. Both have utility and impact besides the BP.

    I have never prestiged so that saved myself a lot of grind. Without the grind, I would not even bother playing this game.

    Yes, I don't even think players use WGLF/BBQ for the other effects. Only for the BP. I started to play the game last year, and had the idea to P3 my characters.

    Fourteen months later, I don't even have done half the Survivors and zero Killers. Fourteen months. Like. Well. I don't mind grinding a bit but I'd like to see it being reduced, like removing tier from perks.

    For a fun farming build for survivors, try out WGLF, Mettle of Man, CoH and either Empathy or Bond. Set yourself up to get protection hits, get healed, repeat and do hook rescues in addition to gens. It'll help your BP.

    But, yeah, the secondary effect of WGLF isn't super helpful. It'll occasionally be of use when you get someone who's trying to slug but that's mainly it.

    For BBQ and Chili, the secondary effect is useful for high mobility killers but it's useless 90% of the time on killers like Trapper. I don't play without BBQ on killers but, as with WGLF, it's for extra BP.

    Need to play for blood points, meaning using WGLF and doing other objectives and letting the game drag on and you should be getting like 18-25K double if using WGLF. I've seen survivors complain only getting 9-12K BPs after game with an escape. Well don't just mindlessly rush gens and escape.

    Or just play killer each match I get like 23-32K with BBQ and BP offerings then it's doubled our tripled. Far more than what I can possibly make as survivor.

    It’s pretty sad that we have to waste a perk slot on survivor to get a decent amount of BP. I’ve said this many times before, but nobody should expect the grind situation to improve until the player numbers drop. BHVR knows that the grind keeps people playing and thus more likely to spend $$, so no reason for them to make changes.

    This I can agree when. Make the token aspects of We're Gonna Live Forever and Barbecue and Chili could be made basekit, which gives every survivor incentive to help their teammates and killers to hook everyone regardless of Build.

    Survivor BP-gain is a Joke. Mostly because of the Category Caps. They dont matter that much for Killer, since you fill up all categories at once. And, you dont have to share Objectives with other Survivors.

    Another problem is that some actions really dont grant many BPs. Repairing a Generator is a Joke for BPs, you get 1250 BPs for completing it. Hit 4 great Skill Checks and you have the same, in way less time. You only gain a significant amount if you do a Gen with another Survivor, but this is less efficient. AND, once you cap out, you dont gain anything anymore in Objectives.

    Also, you barely get Survival-Points. But Boldness en masse.

    It also does not make sense that Unhooks grant 1k BPs but safe Unhooks give 500 extra BPs. It should be the other way around.

    Removing the category Cap would make Survivor BP-gain way better. And this would also fix the problem of doing actions with capped out points feeling unrewarding AND fix the miserable gain in Survival-BPs.

    I mean, the BP earn is fair in term of item, addon, offering. You dont need over 20.000 BP to have a full loadout.

    You earned 8.000 BP? Have a Green medkit with Yellow addon for next match. You earned more? Have another addon with offering. The grind is supposed to be like that. Your earning last match affect the load out in next match.

    Its the perks, people grind for the perks, no BP earning can ever keep up with the perks you need to grind, even with Party streamer + BBQ + x2 BP as a BP earning base. They just need to remove perk Tiers and BP earning problems is instantly solved.

    With the current grind, yes most definitely. Survivors kind of get the short end of the stick with earning blood points compared to killers, too.

    As killer it's easier to gain BP in all categories while for survivor it's more difficult to gain BP (specifically in the survival and objective categories). An average killer game is about 2k BP while an average survivor game is about 1k BP.

    But even then, the BP gain for both sides is just underwhelming. I think the BP cap should be removed in every category and there should be more options to earn BP.

    I have to disagree. Survivor BP gain is pathetic. Boldness and Altruism aren't bad, but Survival and Objective are horrible.

    Btw i love that band but ya its a grindfest at times for killers it sucks because you really need that prestiged 3 bloodweb so your item lists are better. It just takes time and eventually what started as a complaint eventually becomes something you show off. Like roar said tho killer makes a lot more bp so if you want more faster play killer

    Yes, a Gen should give x3 (3750 BP) and Coop gives another 1250. So survivors less likely have to Coop because of BP.

    Skill check should go to Survival too, and those like pickup a Pallet with Anymean, fill up item with Built to last ect.

    2x BP should be the norm imo. Also raise the cap per game from 32k to 50k. Maybe then I could actually get my friends to play this game. It's just way too much of a time investment.
