I play him a lot lately, since I decided that I shall become a Pyramid Head main, and if I ever stumble over you ingame, I am sure to IGNORE YOU ALL GAME TO MAKE YOU SUFFER AND FEEL DESPAIR!!!11eleven
This is what you want, right? <3 Send luv and merry x-mas xoxoxo
I felt like I was invading privacy by reading that.
But!
I wholeheartedly agree. PH is not played nearly as much as he used to, and he is my absolute favorite to go against. I wish more people enjoyed playing as him like I do so that I can get more experience going *against* him
I imagine he isn't played a lot for the reason I don't use him regularly; a lot of perks are useless on him.
You either use the perks that require hooking survivors (thereby ignoring PHs strength and power) or you use his power and dump a large chunk of killer perks.
You're going to want to play the originals here, the HD remasters are very well known to be absolute crap. If I remember correctly the remasters were based on a much older code than the final release. The studio in charge of remastering it had to cook up a lot of assets on the fly to get it even playable, and there are a lot of graphical issues with it.
My preferred way of doing it is playing the original on an emulator so you can force AA. Makes it look really good for it's time. Well except for 1, as good as it is you can't save that few of polys.
I'm going to be honest, it's been a hot minute since I've last played the Silent Hill games. As far as general mechanics go, you get used to them surprisingly quickly but I'm sure you figured that out with old Resident Evil games. With puzzles, I feel like they were pretty hard probably? When I first played it was at the behest of two friends who loved that game and were eager to tell me where I had to go/what to do. And every subsequent playthrough I kind of had a loose recollection anyways.
I feel like yeah, it's going to be a healthy challenge for your first time. Bordering on frustrating. I'm sure some fans would disagree with me, but I'd say don't be afraid to look at walkthroughs if you're hitting a brick wall.
As a dorito head main i have to say this gives me fuzzy feelings...its always nice to be apreciated by players. If you ever find a dorito head that draws smiling faces on the ground you will know its me XD, that and sometimes i draw circles around downed survivors just because i feel like it
I have lots of respect for PH mains. He frustrates me to my core. At least for me on xbox he takes an eterntity to drop his knife back to the ground and be able to swing. His POTD shot takes so long to pull up, charge, shoot, and travel that the survivor can vault twice. Not to mention the shot is so telegraphed a sloth could dodge it. On top of that his cages dont count as hooks for more than a few perks to activate. Thats the main reason i dont play twins that much.
Skipping DS and BT I am rarely effected by so could care less. I would rather use almost the entire roster before him....Nemesis is leagues ahead of him IMO.
I find nemesis to be an easier but worse executioner. When I first started maining Pyramid Head, I found better results just playing nemesis. Until eventually [Im guessing] my MMR got too high for Nemesis to handle, so it was Executioner or learn a new character.
Im glad you like him. However Nemesis can zone very easily without punishment. Vault/pallets are near useless once out of tier one. Last but not least has passive slowdown with infection, crates, and zombies even if they are stupid.

Oh God it would so much. If I were playing with friends I would plead with them to let me die.
I'd say something cheesy like, "look after yourselves. I could wish for no better a death than with my beloved."

I'll play him more once I get around to playing SH 1-3.
Should I play ps1/2 versions or get the silent hill collection? Usually these kinds of ports lose something especially with PS1 PS2 games.
I will say though, pyramid heads Ahhhhhhhh is like ASMR

I'm on a Morrowind kick atm so I'm sure SH1 wont be too bad to get used to....probably. thankfully my mind is good at filling in the blanks.
Is SH as tough as RE for figuring out what to do? I'm still stuck in the RE Mansion :(

oh no
Tell me, what do you see?
I saw the original post so vividly as I read it and as an executioner main it made me uncomfortable
I'd love to play him more, but there are two things that make it difficult.

A fellow forced pennance enjoyer
I would play as him more if I wasn't bad with his power. 🙁

As a Pyramid Head this gave me labored breathing behind an unyielding steal mask.

He always has that

High mmr you wont have fun with any killer.
I would still be a Pyramid Head main if they didnt nerf his power, cause now i cant use him anymore😕
