I think Windows of Opportunity is a little nutty...

I don't know if this would be considered advocating for nerf or not, but any time I run it with Dead Hard (or even Lithe, in most cases....so it's probably possible with any/no Exhaustion perk), it's SUPER easy to chain tiles together into 2-3 minute chases (unless the areas are already used/dead).
I am by no means Aaryun level (or even really that good) at the game, but the consistency that I'm able to do this (and see others I get grouped with) do this, is alarming.
I'm assuming this was done to help Solos get extra tile info that they can get from comms, but this info is visual, 100% accurate, and ALWAYS on.

I thought so too but now I think it is fine.
It probably is, but maybe I'm getting some kind of Impostor Syndrome from it because I'm doing so good with it :P
Thanks for the reply!
It's probably the strongest survivor perk in the game for me.
There is no perk that makes as much of a difference for me as windows does
I slept on this perk. I can see how it can really help you avoid dead zones. I think it is fair as killers have an equivalent perk.
I love it and run it on every build. It’s a great perk for causal players like me who don’t have time to play often enough to memorize maps and tile placement combinations. Like OP said, helps me chain tiles together to prolong chases (especially with Lithe, while I also love to run).
I wouldn’t call it OP. It uses up a perk slot and experienced players don’t really use it much
It helps for sure, I used woo even before. If I could only use one perk it would be woo, yes even over dh.
It's a fantastic perk, but it's one that doesn't really improve survivor performance past the existing skill cap. Players with excellent tile knowledge and comms won't perform much better with Windows than without it, but players without memorized maps and no idea what their teammates are doing really benefit from it.
It's crazy good. I love it in solo queue especially when you can never be sure what pallets have been used. It also highlights really nasty setups that chain together which is always nice (on survivor).
The killer version is way more niche, but is pretty fun on Doctor/Nurse/P.Head/etc
Even the killer version is ok, it's more useful for the survivor since they steer where they chase goes for the most part but Zanshin Tactics does help the killer too, showing them where breakable walls are they might want to deal with or where pallets are they might want to break ASAP or giving them a heads up which direction they might want to approach from.
It's just a victim of power creep. If all the other perks with unnecessary cooldowns were adjusted it wouldn't be so strong.
I honestly think that, unless the entire game is redesigned, this will remain one of the best perks.
All it does is give you info on every dead zone on the map. So yes, it ruins the killer's element of surprise when they change targets but who cares? SWF already does that.
Plus it bridges the gap between survivors who have map knowledge of loops and those who don't.
I always praised that perk. It's more for soloq after beginner's phase is over. But it's well-designed imho, except that it should be in the base game and not dlc.
This perk has helped me become a decent survivor. The knowledge of knowing right away where you can go to be safe is crazy. A survivor that should go down on seconds can now hold w steaight to a safe zone over and over.
Thanks for the build idea lol, first game
(was a myers + someone else brought inner counterforce so no, COH got no use that game)
It's ok if you're still learning and I would totally recommend it to those with already a few dozen hours under their belt, but the more you play the more you'll realize it's not necessary. Just pay attention to where you think other survivors have been chased and scout areas while going to the next gen.
I find it a bit obnoxious. Not the perk by itself, but it really shows you how stupid some tiles are.
WOO + The Game = just get me out of here already.
You can do all of that, but there's still going to be hidden information.
WoO is 100% accurate.
Yessss.....
Join ussss.....
I guess that's where we differ in what we value more. I can do fine without WoO and would rather have access to something else.
honestly it's actually been really useful in solo so far. not running into deadzones through sheer terrible luck and even worse teammates does wonders for your self-esteem and chase ability.
Have you try Iron will, Lithe, Quick & Quiet, Dance with me?
The number of times I make a fast vault then disappear from the current title, look back and see Killer still mind game himself far behind is fun.
Oh I wouldn't doubt that. That's mostly the only thing I die of if I'm first in chase- dead zones. But it's not common I'm caught off by them that would justify the need for the perk. And really, if bad teammates are in my lobby, it's not going to be WoO that saves the day. It's usually a fast death. :D
I have, but I prefer other perks honestly. Seeing the killer mindgame themselves is great, but I prefer the satisfaction of pulling off the mindgame myself into the reward of escaping the tile to chain more together. Stealth and I don't go hand in hand- when I'm being chased I much prefer to keep that chase.
Makes you cry when you see shack pallet instantly used at the start of the game by a healthy survivor though.
makes me cry when i see that happen without Windows so at least this can build my tolerance to it
well, you do you- i know i'll end up going back to my regular build after this experiement but it's definitely a lot better than just "new player perk". knowing about a deadzone allows you to pre-plan your different routes, and routing is a skill many have long since forgotten in liu of "haha w key go brr"
My usual build is WoO, IW, BT, and then either SB if theres been a lot of high lethality, or SC if theres been a lot of stealth killers.
forget the build, i can't look away from that name
wtf
Bruno's Musty Cum Rag?
I'm down very bad for a fictional man, sadly. But in my defence, he is hot.
