Tips for Killer Adept with MMR enabled?

Been trying to grind out some of the last adepts I need, haven't tried since MMR was enabled and now it feels almost impossible to obtain with some killers. Anyone have any solid tips to get merciless? I waited until rank reset today but it's been just as infuriating.

_ Wait for the rank reset. (It's easier to obtain with a low rank. There are less requirements)
_ Lose a bunch of games (5, 10, ?) until you feel you are not in high MMR anymore (but not low enough to crush the survivors as, surprise surprise, it they die to fast, you lose)
_ Lose a bunch of games until you get a map where you can get as much hooks as possible, kick gens, break doors, ...
_ Aim for the biggest among of hooks and do not forget to break doors, pallets, and generators.
I'm surprised there are still people investing in the killer role until they fix the boons, DH, ...
Waiting until rank reset is the best choice, but for advice for getting adept changes depending on which killer you're going for.
A few general tips regardless of killer. Don't ever camp, try to play for hooks not kills. Getting at least 10 hooks should get you the merciless even if one or 2 escape. Easier lower the grade much harder the higher the grade.
Killers with instant downs use the meme add on for the 2 chain saws. Myers and GF you have to restrict how many instant downs no more than 6 times.
I've lost like 10 matches in a row should i just afk?
Currently trying to get pig and trapper, pretty much been next to impossible
Just Pig and Trapper? Ehhh not much what to say really without stating the obvious. Make the best use of their perks, Pig has Surveillance so kick gens, maybe use the +2 bear traps to delay much as possible without the helmet going pop. Or that iri add on last week that gives you wall hacks with a indoor map offering.
Trapper maybe use the add-on either the purple bag OR the iri stone to auto reset traps so you don't have to waste a much time setting them up yourself. Map offerings can help.
Just keep trying go for the 10-12 hooks and pray for potatoes.
There's plenty of advice that is useful on the above posts, but I don't see this one:
It's a #'s game, you will never face 100 SWF's in a row, eventually you will get some potatoes.
You just need a lot of hooks. So don't camp or tunnel, go for new survivors every time
Wait for a rank reset and try and try, no need to lose games intentionally to derank, just try, if you get it nice, if you dont well you lost and lowered the MMR, is pointless to waste time. The biggest problem is getting the emblems, these are things to take on account:
All this to say the fact that survivors just need to escape and killers have to jump through all these hurdles is kind've ridiculous
very true but time consuming nonetheless
Trust me i've never prayed harder
Achievements give no reward other than bragging rights, it doesnt matter the Killer adepts are harder than the Survivor ones for everyone can get them and they reward you nothing, no cosmetics, no BPs so it makes no sense to try to balance them, a set of achievements are harder than others, thats it.
Survivors dont have it easier for their adepts, everyone has it easier for Survivor adepts for everyone can play Survivor (you included), dont try to look at them from a "US VS THEM!!" mentality, its not healthy.
Oh trust me im not, i'm a survivor main that's why i'm struggling so much, I cranked out the survivor adepts much faster.
I got my Executioner adept in 2 tries, so hopefully I can help a bit?
1. Play ruthlessly. As @HectorBrando said, don't waste time camping, play as aggressively as your Killer allows to maximize number of hooks.
2. Make sure you're capable with your Killer's power. With Pig and Trapper this can be more difficult than Executioner but putting traps in important places like Shack as Trapper and hounding Survivors with traps on their heads as Pig is a good way to secure quick hooks.
3. Exploit their perks as best you can. Maybe that basement is close enough with Agitation. Kicking plenty of gens will maximize the value of Surveillance.
4. You may want to keep an eye on your Chaser meter with Pig in particular because Make Your Choice is an exposure perk. You will likely need to weigh your options on that one.
Good luck!
Im working on adepts too atm (Hillbilly). What I'm doing is playing other killers for a bit like Trapper and getting absolute sweat squads which help me drop my MMR. Put a killer with enduring and lightborn/franklins on and just M1 a few games so you get some bloodpoints.
Also play before 6PM local time so that MMR isnt thrown out the window to give a 4 man SWF a game.
If you're on PC I recommend dbd-stats to track stuff as you might need to use your ability a bit too before you move on to other killers.
Billy was a tough one for me as well good luck! And thanks for the tip ill certainly check out dbd-stats
I literally did the Adept Pig achievement today, as it was one of my last few missing ones.
I played with Video Tapes and Tampered Timers and got thrown in an immense sweat game, which was probably good, as it was long, had lots of chases and I got 10 or 11 hooks, but boooooi, was it draining.
Everyone had DH, I ate 3 DS, was under constant pressure, and the next flashlight was just one macro away. I'm still happy that I got it in my first try and I bet it was just thanks to the add-ons that I got a foot in the door.
I did Trapper quite some time ago, but I remember that this Adept was rather finicky and I had problems with it, too.
The biggest problems I had with the Adept Deathslinger, because he is not very strong, when you are not experienced with him, and his perks don't help you a lot to win the game or make it more enjoyable.
The other one was the Plague. Dayum, I tried so many times to get her Adept, and I think the problem is that her power kinda works against you, in the way to get a mercieless rating. The survivors either gen rush hard, or are all infected and go down quickly, cutting your chases short; same goes for your red puke.
And with my Adept Cenobite I got it on first try, but I also got unbelievable salty survivors in endgame chat. I explained that I was going for tube Adept, and that you can't play fair, if you do so, but they literally said "idc, you're a disgusting killer" and 2 said that they had reported me :D
This is nothing new, but better be prepared for the salt, as you sometimes might feel sorry when you really stomp a group, but you have to literally show no mercy and destroy all their hope, don't gift hatch, don't escort them to the exit gate or play nice. Luckily it's just one game, each.
So stay at it, and good luck. Tomorrow I wanna try my hand at the darn Tools of the Trade achievement. I wished that it would only be one mercieless victory, but it's FIVE! Darn.
